1 “‘Ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla achọọ inye onyinye aja udo, o nwere ike jiri anụ ụlọ si nʼigwe ehi, oke ehi maọbụ nwunye ehi. Ma anụ ahụ ọ ga-ewebata nʼihu Onyenwe anyị aghaghị ịbụ ehi na-enweghị nkwarụ.
[“Also tell the people], ‘When the offering that you bring to Yahweh is to maintain good fellowship [with him], you may bring a bull or a cow from your herd [of cattle], but what you present to Yahweh must be an animal that has no defects.
2 Onye ahụ wetara ya, ga-ebikwasị aka ya nʼisi anụ ahụ, gbuo ya nʼọnụ ụzọ ụlọ nzute. Mgbe ahụ ụmụ Erọn ndị ikom, bụ ndị nchụaja, ga-efesa ọbara ya nʼakụkụ niile nke ebe ịchụ aja.
You must bring the animal to the entrance to the Sacred Tent. You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it [and drain some of its blood in a bowl]. Then one of Aaron’s sons, one of the priests, will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
3 Site nʼonyinye aja udo, ị ga-eweta onyinye nsure ọkụ nye Onyenwe anyị: abụba niile kpuchiri ihe dị nʼime afọ ya, na abụba niile nke metụtara ha,
From that offering, you must offer to Yahweh, as a sacrifice that will be burned in the fire, all the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal, or which is attached to them—
4 akụrụ ya abụọ na abụba nke dị nʼelu ha ruo nʼakụkụ ukwu ya, na umeju ya na abụba kpuchiri umeju ya, nke ọ ga-ewepụ ya na akụrụ ya.
the kidneys and the fat that is attached to them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
5 Mgbe ahụ, ụmụ Erọn ga-esunye ha ọkụ nʼelu aja nsure ọkụ a tụkwasịrị nʼosisi e sunyere ọkụ, ọ bụ onyinye nsure ọkụ, nke na-esi isi ụtọ nye Onyenwe anyị.
Then one of the priests will burn those things on the altar, along with the other parts of the animal that will be completely burned to be an offering [to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh.
6 “‘Ọ bụrụ na onyinye aja udo a na-achụrụ Onyenwe anyị bụ site nʼigwe ewu maọbụ atụrụ, ọ ghaghị ịbụ mkpi maọbụ nne ewu na-enweghị ntụpọ.
If that offering to maintain good fellowship with Yahweh is a sheep or a goat, it must also be an animal that has no defects.
7 Ọ bụrụ onyinye atụrụ, onye ahụ ga-ewebata ya nʼihu Onyenwe anyị.
If you offer a lamb, you must present it to Yahweh [at the entrance to the Sacred Tent]. You must lay your hands on the lamb’s head and then slaughter it. [‘You must drain some of its blood in a bowl].

Then one of the priests will sprinkle that blood against all sides of the altar.
9 Ị ga-esite nʼonyinye aja udo a, weta onyinye nsure ọkụ nye Onyenwe anyị: abụba ya, na abụba niile dị nʼọdụdụ ya nke a ga-esite nʼakụkụ ọkpụkpụ azụ ya bepụta, na abụba kpuchiri ihe dị nʼime afọ ya; na abụba niile nke metụtara ha,
You must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: Its fat, the fat tail that you must cut off close to the backbone, and all the fat that covers the inner parts of the lamb or which is attached to them—
10 na akụrụ ya abụọ, na abụba kpuchiri ha ruo nʼakụkụ ukwu ya, na umeju ya, na abụba kpuchiri ya; nke ọ ga-ewepụ ya na akụrụ ya.

11 Onye nchụaja ga-akpọ ha ọkụ nʼebe ịchụ aja dịka ihe oriri, onyinye nsure ọkụ nye Onyenwe anyị.
One of the priests will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh].
12 “‘Ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla eweta ewu dịka onyinye ọ na-eche nʼihu Onyenwe anyị,
‘If your offering is a goat, you must take/present it to Yahweh.
13 ọ ga-ebikwasị aka ya nʼisi ewu ahụ, gbuo ya nʼọnụ ụzọ ụlọ nzute. Ụmụ Erọn ndị ikom ga-efesa ọbara ya nʼakụkụ niile nke ebe ịchụ aja.
You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it in front of the Sacred Tent. Then one of Aaron’s sons will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
14 Ọ bụ site nʼonyinye nke i wetara ka ị ga-esi chee onyinye nsure ọkụ nye Onyenwe anyị: abụba niile kpuchiri ihe dị nʼime afọ ya na abụba niile metụtara ha,
From that offering you must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: All the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal or which is attached to them,
15 na akụrụ ya abụọ, na abụba kpuchiri ha ruo nʼakụkụ ukwu ya, na ihe kpuchiri umeju ya; nke ọ ga-ewepụ ya na akụrụ ya.

16 Onye nchụaja ga-akpọ ha ọkụ nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja dịka ihe oriri, onyinye nsure ọkụ, nke na-esi isi ụtọ. Abụba niile bụ nke Onyenwe anyị.
The priest will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh. All the fat [of the animals that are sacrificed] belongs to Yahweh.
17 “‘Iwu ndị a ga-adịgide site nʼọgbọ ruo nʼọgbọ. Unu ga-edebezu ya nʼebe ọbụla unu bi. Unu agaghị eri abụba maọbụ ọbara ọbụla.’”
‘This is a command that must be obeyed by you and your descendants forever, wherever you live: You must not eat the fat or the blood [of any animal].’”
