2 Lee ka ụmụ ndị ikom Zayọn dị oke ọnụahịa, ndị dị oke ọnụahịa na mbụ dịka ọlaedo a nụchara anụcha, si dịrị ugbu a dịka ite aja nke ọkpụ ite kpụrụ.
The noble sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, How are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!
3 Ọ bụladị ụmụ nkịta ọhịa na-eji ara ha azụ ụmụ ha, ma ndị a aghọọla ndị na-enweghị obi ebere; ha aghọọla enyi nnụnụ nke na-ebi nʼọzara.
The very jackals reach forth the breast; they suckle their young; But the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches of the desert.
4 Lee na ire nwa ọhụrụ na-arapara nʼakpo ọnụ ya nʼihi akpịrị ịkpọ nkụ. Ụmụntakịrị na-arịọkwa ka e nye ha nri, ma o nweghị onye na-enye ha nri ahụ.
The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst; Young children ask for bread, and no man breaketh it for them.
5 Ndị ahụ naara eri ihe ụtọ dị iche iche tọgbọrọ nʼefu ugbu a nʼokporoụzọ. Ndị ahụ a zụrụ iyi uwe uhie uhie nọ ugbu a na-edina nʼebe a na-ekpofu ahịhịa.
Those that fed on dainties are desolate in the streets; Those that have been brought up in scarlet embrace the dunghill.
6 Ahụhụ dịịrị ndị m dị ukwuu karịa ahụhụ nke bịakwasịrị Sọdọm. Nʼihi na ọ bụ nʼotu ntabi anya ka a kwatụrụ ya. Ọ dịkwaghị onye bịara nyere ya aka.

More fortunate are the slain by the sword than the slain by famine; For these pine away, stricken through for want of the fruits of the field.
10 Aka ha ka ndị inyom ndị ahụ nwere obi ebere ji gbuo ụmụ ha, sie ha. Ụmụ ha ghọọrọ ha nri nʼoge ahụ a lara ndị m nʼiyi.

11 Onyenwe anyị emeela ka nrubiga oke nke iwe ya pụta ìhè; ọ wụpụla iwe ya dị ọkụ. O sunyela ọkụ na Zayọn, nke rechapụrụ ntọala ya niile.
Jehovah hath spent upon them his fury; he hath poured out his fierce anger; He hath kindled a fire in Zion, which hath devoured its foundations.
12 Ndị eze nke ụwa ekwetaghị; otu a kwa, ndị ụwa niile ekwetakwaghị na ndị iro nwere ike si nʼọnụ ụzọ ama banye nʼime Jerusalem.
The kings of the earth believed not, nor all the inhabitants of the world, That the adversary would enter, and the enemy, within the gates of Jerusalem.
13 Ma ihe ndị a mere nʼihi mmehie ndị amụma ya, na nʼihi ajọ omume nke ndị nchụaja ya, ndị wụsiri ọbara ndị ezi omume nọ nʼetiti ya.
It was on account of the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, Who shed in the midst of her the blood of the righteous.
14 Ugbu a, ha na-asọ isi nʼokporoụzọ niile, dịka ndị kpuru ìsì. Ha ejirila ọbara merụọ onwe ha. O nwekwaghị onye na-agbalị ịbịaru ha nso ịmetụ uwe ha aka.
They stumbled like blind men through the streets, polluted with blood, So that men could not touch their garments.
15 Ndị mmadụ na-eti mkpu na-asị ha, “Sitenụ nʼebe anyị nọ wezuga onwe unu! Unu rụrụ arụ! Wezuganụ onwe unu, unu emetụkwala anyị aka!” Mgbe ha gbapụrụ ọsọ bido na-awagharị, ndị nọ na mba dị iche iche na-asị ha, “O kwesighị ka ha nọrọkwa nʼebe a.”
“Depart! unclean!” men cried to them. “Depart, depart, touch not!” As they fled, they stumbled; men said among the nations, “They shall dwell there no more.”
16 Onyenwe anyị nʼonwe ya achụsaala ha. Ọ gaghị agụnyekwa ha. Ọ dịkwaghị ndị na-asọpụrụ onye nchụaja, ọ dịkwaghị ndị na-emere ndị okenye amara.
The anger of Jehovah hath scattered them; he will no more care for them; They paid no regard to the priests, they had no compassion for the elders.
17 Nke ka nke, anya agbaala anyị ọchịchịrị, ebe anyị nọ na-elepụ anya nʼefu maka enyemaka. Ọ bụ site nʼụlọ elu nche ka anyị nọ na-elepụ anya, na-ele anya maka ọbịbịa mba ahụ na-enweghị ike bịa zọpụta anyị.
Still did our eyes fail, looking for help in vain; On our watch-tower did we watch for a nation that could not save us.
18 Ndị mmadụ na-esogharị anyị ebe niile anyị jere, nʼihi ya anyị enweghị ike jegharịakwa nʼokporoụzọ anyị. Ọgwụgwụ anyị adịla nso, a pụkwara ịgụta ụbọchị ole fọdụụrụ anyị, tupu ọgwụgwụ anyị eruo.
They laid snares for our steps, so that we could not go in our streets; Our end is near; our days are accomplished, yea, our end is come!
19 Ndị na-achụ anyị ọsọ na-agbasi ọsọ ike karịa ugo na-efe na mbara eluigwe. Ha chụgharịrị anyị nʼelu ugwu niile, nọrọkwa nʼọzara zoo onwe ha na-eche anyị.
Swifter were our pursuers than the eagles of heaven; They chased us upon the mountains; they laid wait for us in the wilderness.
20 Ume ndụ anyị, nke Onyenwe anyị tere mmanụ, ka ha jidere nʼọnya ha. Anyị naara eche na anyị ga-ebi nʼokpuru ndo ya, nʼetiti mba dị iche iche.
The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Jehovah, was taken in their pits, Under whose shadow we said that we should live among the nations.
21 Ṅụrịa ọṅụ, ka obi tọkwaa gị ụtọ, gị ada Edọm, onye nke bi nʼala Uz. Ma a ga-emesịakwa nye gị iko ahụ. Ị ga-esitekwa na ya ṅụọ ihe ọṅụṅụ ṅụjụbiga afọ oke. A ga-agbakwa gị ọtọ.
Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz! Yet to thee also shall the cup come! thou shalt be drunken, and shalt expose thy nakedness.
22 Gị ada Zayọn, ahụhụ gị agwụsịala; Ọ gaghị emekwa ka i jee biri ogologo oge na mba ọzọ. Kama, ọ ga-ata gị ahụhụ nʼihi mmehie gị, gị, ada Edọm, kpugheekwa ajọ omume gị niile.
Thy punishment is at an end, O daughter of Zion! no more will he carry thee into captivity; But thine iniquity will he punish, O daughter of Edom! he will uncover thy sins.
