< Abụ Akwa 3 >

1 Abụ m onye hụrụla ahụhụ site na mkpara igwe nke nrubiga oke nke iwe Onyenwe anyị.
I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of God’s wrath.
2 O sitela nʼihu ya chụpụ m, mee ka m jegharịa nʼọchịchịrị kama nʼìhè.
He has driven me away and made me walk in darkness instead of light.
3 Nʼezie, ọ tụgharịala aka ya megide m, mgbe mgbe, ogologo ụbọchị niile.
Indeed, He keeps turning His hand against me all day long.
4 O meela ka akpụkpọ ahụ na anụ ahụ m fịkpọọ, ọ nyajisiela ọkpụkpụ di m nʼahụ.
He has worn away my flesh and skin; He has shattered my bones.
5 O busola m agha, jiri ihe ilu na oke mkpagbu gbaa m gburugburu.
He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
6 O meela ka m biri nʼọchịchịrị dịka ndị nwụrụ anwụ kemgbe oge gara aga.
He has made me dwell in darkness like those dead for ages.
7 Ọ gbachibidola m ogige, ime ka m ghara ịgbapụ; o jirila ụdọ igwe dị arọ mee ka m ghara ijegharị.
He has walled me in so I cannot escape; He has weighed me down with chains.
8 Ọ na-eme ka ekpere m hapụ irute ya, ọ bụladị mgbe m kpọkuru ya ka o nyere m aka.
Even when I cry out and plead for help, He shuts out my prayer.
9 O jirila nkume a wara awa gbachie ụzọ m niile, o meela ka okporoụzọ m gbagọọ agbagọ.
He has barred my ways with cut stones; He has made my paths crooked.
10 Dịka anụ ọhịa bịa nke makpu na-eche nche, na dịka ọdụm nke na-ezo onwe ya,
He is a bear lying in wait, a lion hiding in ambush.
11 o sitela nʼokporoụzọ dọkpụrụ m dọbisie m ahụ, hapụ m na-enweghị onye inyeaka.
He forced me off my path and tore me to pieces; He left me without help.
12 Ọ dọọla ụta ya mee m ka m bụrụ onye àkụ ya ga-agbata.
He bent His bow and set me as the target for His arrow.
13 O ji àkụ nke si nʼakpa àkụ ya gbapuo m obi.
He pierced my kidneys with His arrows.
14 Aghọrọ m ihe ọchị nye ndị m niile; ha ji abụ na-akwa m emo ogologo ụbọchị niile.
I am a laughingstock to all my people; they mock me in song all day long.
15 O meela ka ihe niile na-elu ilu ju m afọ, meekwa ka m ṅụjuo oluilu afọ.
He has filled me with bitterness; He has intoxicated me with wormwood.
16 O meela ka m jiri okwute tajisie eze m, o kponyekwala m ntụ nʼọnụ m.
He has ground my teeth with gravel and trampled me in the dust.
17 Enweghị m udo, echezọkwaala m ihe ọganihu bụ.
My soul has been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.
18 Nʼihi ya, ana m ekwu, “Ịma mma m ọbụla adịghịkwa. Agaghị m enwetakwa ihe ndị ahụ m lere anya na m ga-esi nʼaka Onyenwe anyị nweta.”
So I say, “My strength has perished, along with my hope from the LORD.”
19 Ana m echeta ahụhụ m, na mwagharị m, ya na ihe ilu na oluilu.
Remember my affliction and wandering, the wormwood and the gall.
20 Mgbe m na-echeta ya, obi m na-ada mba nʼime m.
Surely my soul remembers and is humbled within me.
21 Ma ọ dị ihe m na-echeta nʼobi m nke na-eme ka m nwee olileanya.
Yet I call this to mind, and therefore I have hope:
22 Ọ bụ nʼihi ịhụnanya dị ukwuu nke Onyenwe anyị na-emeghị ka anyị gwụsịa, nʼihi na obi ebere ya adịghị agwụ agwụ.
Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail.
23 Ha na-adị ọhụrụ ụtụtụ niile; ikwesi ntụkwasị obi gị bụ ihe kwudosiri ike.
They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!
24 Mkpụrụobi m na-ekwu, “Onyenwe anyị bụ oke m, nʼihi ya, aga m enwe nchekwube na ya.”
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”
25 Onyenwe anyị dị mma nʼebe ndị olileanya ha dị nʼime ya, e, nʼebe obi ahụ dị, nke na-achọsi ya ike.
The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
26 Ọ bụ ihe dị mma iji nwayọọ chere nzọpụta nke Onyenwe anyị.
It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
27 Ọ bụ ihe dị mma ka mmadụ buru ibu arọ dịrị ya mgbe ọ bụ okorobịa.
It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is still young.
28 Ya nọrọkwa duu naanị ya, nʼihi na ọ bụ Onyenwe anyị bokwasịrị ya ibu ahụ.
Let him sit alone in silence, for God has disciplined him.
29 Ya tinye ihu ya nʼaja, nʼihi na olileanya nwere ike dịrị.
Let him bury his face in the dust— perhaps there is still hope.
30 Ya cheziere onye ahụ chọrọ iti ya ihe ntị ya, ya kwerekwa ka ihe ihere ju ya afọ.
Let him offer his cheek to the one who would strike him; let him be filled with reproach.
31 Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị adịghị ajụ onye ọbụla ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
For the Lord will not cast us off forever.
32 Ọ bụ ezie na ọ na-eme ka mmekpa ahụ bịa, ma ọ na-emesịakwa gosi obi ebere ya, nʼihi na ịhụnanya ya, nke na-adịghị agwụ agwụ, dị ukwuu.
Even if He causes grief, He will show compassion according to His abundant loving devotion.
33 Nʼihi na ọ naghị elezi anya eweta ahụhụ, maọbụ mee ka ụmụ mmadụ nọọ na mmekpa ahụ.
For He does not willingly afflict or grieve the sons of men.
34 Iji ụkwụ zọgbuo ndị mkpọrọ nọ nʼala ahụ
To crush underfoot all the prisoners of the land,
35 ime ka ihe ruru mmadụ hapụ iru ya aka nʼihu Onye kachasị ihe niile elu,
to deny a man justice before the Most High,
36 ime ka ikpe ziri ezi ghara irute mmadụ. Ọ bụ na Onyenwe anyị agaghị ahụ ihe ndị a?
to subvert a man in his lawsuit— of these the Lord does not approve.
37 Onye pụrụ ikwu okwu mekwa ka ọ dị ire ma ọ bụrụ na Onyenwe anyị enyeghị iwu ka ọ dị otu ahụ?
Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has ordained it?
38 Ọ bụghị site nʼọnụ Onye kachasị ihe niile elu ka ihe ọma na ihe ọjọọ si abịa?
Do not both adversity and good come from the mouth of the Most High?
39 Gịnị mere mmadụ dị ndụ ga-eji tamuo ntamu mgbe ọ na-ahụ ahụhụ nʼihi mmehie ya?
Why should any mortal man complain, in view of his sins?
40 Ka anyị nyochaanụ ụzọ anyị nwapụta ya. Ka anyị lọghachikwutenụ Onyenwe anyị.
Let us examine and test our ways, and turn back to the LORD.
41 Ka anyị welie aka anyị abụọ na obi anyị elu nye Chineke nọ nʼeluigwe, sị:
Let us lift up our hearts and hands to God in heaven:
42 “Anyị emehiela, nupu isi, ma ị gbagharabeghị.
“We have sinned and rebelled; You have not forgiven.”
43 “I jirila iwe kpuchie onwe gị, si otu a chụọ anyị ọsọ. I gbuola anyị, jụ imere anyị ebere.
You have covered Yourself in anger and pursued us; You have killed without pity.
44 I jiri igwe ojii kpuchie onwe gị ka ekpere anyị ghara irute gị.
You have covered Yourself with a cloud that no prayer can pass through.
45 I meela ka anyị ghọọ unyi na ihe a zachapụrụ azachapụ nʼetiti mba niile.
You have made us scum and refuse among the nations.
46 “Ndị iro anyị niile asaghepụla ọnụ ha megide anyị.
All our enemies open their mouths against us.
47 Anyị ahụọla ahụhụ site nʼoke ihe egwu na ihe ndaba dị iche iche, na mbibi na ịla nʼiyi.”
Panic and pitfall have come upon us— devastation and destruction.
48 Anya mmiri nke dịka iyi na-asọ asọ si nʼanya m na-asọpụta nʼihi ndị m a lara nʼiyi.
Streams of tears flow from my eyes over the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49 Anya mmiri si m nʼanya ga-anọgide na-asọpụta na-akwụsịghị akwụsị,
My eyes overflow unceasingly, without relief,
50 tutu ruo mgbe Onyenwe anyị ga-esite nʼeluigwe ledata anya ma hụ.
until the LORD looks down from heaven and sees.
51 Ihe anya m na-ahụ na-ewetara mkpụrụobi m ihe mgbu, nʼihi ọnọdụ nke ndị inyom niile nọ nʼime obodo m.
My eyes bring grief to my soul because of all the daughters of my city.
52 Ndị ahụ mere onwe ha ndị iro m, ndị m na-emeghị ihe ọjọọ ọbụla, na-achụ m ọsọ dịka m bụ nnụnụ.
Without cause my enemies hunted me like a bird.
53 Ha gbalịrị ime ka m nwụọ nʼime olulu site nʼịtụ m nkume.
They dropped me alive into a pit and cast stones upon me.
54 Mmiri kpuchiri m isi, echere m na-efuola m.
The waters flowed over my head, and I thought I was going to die.
55 Esitere m na nsọtụ olulu ahụ kpọkuo aha gị, gị Onyenwe anyị.
I called on Your name, O LORD, out of the depths of the Pit.
56 Ị nụrụ arịrịọ m rịọrọ gị, “Biko, emechila ntị gị. Nụrụ arịrịọ inyeaka nke m na-arịọ gị.”
You heard my plea: “Do not ignore my cry for relief.”
57 Ị bịara nso mgbe m kpọkuru gị. Ị sịrị, “Atụla egwu.”
You drew near when I called on You; You said, “Do not be afraid.”
58 Gị onwe gị, Onyenwe anyị, kpechitere ọnụ m, gị gbapụtara ndụ m.
You defend my cause, O Lord; You redeem my life.
59 Onyenwe anyị, ị hụla ihe ọjọọ ha mere m. Kpechitere m ọnụ m.
You have seen, O LORD, the wrong done to me; vindicate my cause!
60 Ị hụla ịbọ ọbọ ha niile na nzube niile ha na-ezube megide m.
You have seen all their malice, all their plots against me.
61 Onyenwe anyị, ị nụla nkọcha niile ha na-akọcha m na nzube niile ha na-ezube megide m.
O LORD, You have heard their insults, all their plots against me—
62 Ị na-anụ izu na ntamu nke ndị iro m megide m ogologo ụbọchị niile.
the slander and murmuring of my assailants against me all day long.
63 Lee ha! Ha na-akọcha m mgbe ha guzoro ọtọ, na-akọcha m mgbe ha nọdụrụ ala. Ha ji abụ na-akọcha m.
When they sit and when they rise, see how they mock me in song.
64 Onyenwe anyị, biko, kwụghachi ha ihe ruuru ha, nʼihi ihe niile aka ha rụpụtara.
You will pay them back what they deserve, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.
65 Jiri ihe mkpudo kpuchie obi ha. Meekwa ka ịbụ ọnụ gị dịkwasị ha.
Put a veil of anguish over their hearts; may Your curse be upon them!
66 Site nʼiwe gị chụọ ha ọsọ. Laakwa ha nʼiyi nʼiwe gị, ka ha ghara ịdịkwa nʼokpuru eluigwe nke Onyenwe anyị ọzọ.
You will pursue them in anger and exterminate them from under Your heavens, O LORD.
