1 Ala ndị a ka e nyere ndị Juda dịka ikwu dị nʼebo ahụ si dị. Ikwu ọbụla ketara ala nke ha site nʼife nza. Ala Juda gbatịrị nnọọ ruo nʼoke ala Edọm, gbatịakwa ruo nʼọzara Zin, kwụsị nʼọnụ ọnụ ndịda ọzara a.
Now the part of the land marked out for the children of Judah by families, went up to the edge of Edom, as far as the waste land of Zin to the south, to the farthest point of it on the south.
2 Nʼakụkụ ndịda, oke ala ha malitere nʼọnụ ọnụ ndịda osimiri Nnu.
Their south limit was from the farthest part of the Salt Sea, from the inlet looking to the south:
3 Site nʼebe akụkụ ndịda nrigo Akrabim, gafee ruo nʼọzara Zin, ma rigoo nʼakụkụ nke ndịda Kadesh Banea, gafee Hezrọn rigoruo na Aada, gba gburugburu gaa Kaka;
From there it goes south of the slope up to Akrabbim, and on to Zin, then south past Kadesh-barnea, and on by Hezron and up to Addar, turning in the direction of Karka:
4 site nʼebe ahụ ruo Azmọn, pụọ gbasoro iyi dị nʼoke ala ndị Ijipt gagide ruo nʼosimiri Mediterenịa. Nke a bụ oke ala nʼebe ndịda.
Then on to Azmon, ending at the stream of Egypt: and the end of the limit is at the sea; this will be your limit on the south.
5 Oke ala ha nʼọwụwa anyanwụ bụ oke osimiri Nnu, ruo nʼọnụ mmiri osimiri Jọdan. Oke ala ha nʼakụkụ ugwu bidoro nʼọnụ mmiri osimiri Jọdan,
And the east limit is the Salt Sea as far as the end of Jordan. And the limit of the north part of the land is from the inlet of the sea at the end of Jordan:
6 gbatịrị ruo Bet-Hogla, ma ruo nʼugwu Bet-Araba, rukwaa na nkume Bohan, nwa Ruben.
Then the line goes up to Beth-hoglah, past the north of Beth-arabah, and up to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben;
7 Site nʼebe ahụ, ọ gbatịrị ruo na Ndagwurugwu Akọ na Debịa, tụgharịa gbatịrịkwa ruo Gilgal, na ncherita ihu ala ala Adumim nke dị nʼakụkụ ndịda ndagwurugwu ahụ. Site nʼebe ahụ ọ gbatịrị ruo na mmiri En-Shemesh, kwụsị na En-Rogel.
Then the line goes up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so to the north, in the direction of Gilgal, which is opposite the slope up to Adummim, on the south side of the river: and the line goes on to the waters of En-shemesh, ending at En-rogel:

Then the line goes up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the south side of the Jebusite (which is Jerusalem): then up to the top of the mountain in front of the valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the farthest point of the valley of Rephaim on the north:
9 Site nʼelu ugwu ebe ahụ, oke ala ahụ gbatịrị ruo na mmiri ime ala Neftoa, pụta site nʼebe ahụ ruo obodo niile dị nso ugwu Efrọn. Site nʼEfrọn, oke ala ahụ gbadara ruo Baala (nke aha ya ọzọ bụ Kiriat Jearim).
And the limit is marked out from the top of the mountain to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and out to the towns of Mount Ephron, as far as Baalah (which is Kiriath-jearim):
10 Oke ala ahụ mere dịka ọ ga-agba Baala gburugburu nʼakụkụ ọdịda anyanwụ, site nʼebe ahụ pụta nʼugwu Sia, sitekwa nʼebe ahụ ruo nʼakụkụ ugwu Jearim (ya bụ Kesalon), gbatịa ruo na ndịda Bet-Shemesh, gafee ruo nʼọdịda anyanwụ oke ala Timna.
Then turning west, the line goes from Baalah to Mount Seir, and on to the side of Mount Jearim (which is Chesalon) on the north, then down to Beth-shemesh, and on past Timnah:
11 O sikwara ebe ahụ ruo ndịda ugwu Ekrọn, tụgharịa ruo Shikerọn, gafee ya, ruo nʼugwu Baala, sitekwa nʼebe ahụ ruo Jabneel, oke ala ahụ kwụsịrị nʼosimiri.
And out to the side of Ekron to the north: then it is marked out to Shikkeron and on to Mount Baalah, ending at Jabneel; the end of the line is at the sea.
12 Oke ala ha nʼakụkụ ọdịda anyanwụ bụ ọnụ mmiri osimiri Mediterenịa. Ndị a bụ oke ala gbara ndị Juda gburugburu dịka ikwu ha niile si dị.
And the limit on the west is the edge of the Great Sea. This is the line going round the land marked out for the children of Judah, by their families.
13 Dịka iwu Onyenwe anyị nyere si dị, Joshua nyere Kaleb nwa Jefune oke nʼetiti ndị Juda. O kenyere ya Kiriat Aaba, ya bụ, Hebrọn. Aaba bụ nna nna Anak.
And to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a part among the children of Judah, as the Lord had given orders to Joshua, that is, Kiriath-arba, named after Arba, the father of Anak which is Hebron.
14 Kaleb sitere nʼobodo Hebrọn chụpụ ndị ikom atọ, bụ Sheshai, na Ahiman, na Talmai, ụmụ Anak nʼala ha.
And the three sons of Anak, Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak, were forced out from there by Caleb.

From there he went up against the people of Debir: (now the name of Debir before that was Kiriath-sepher.)
16 Kaleb sịrị, “Nwoke ọbụla ga-aga busoo Kiriat Sefa agha ma merie ya ka m ga-akpọnye Aksa, bụ nwa m nwanyị ka ọ bụrụ nwunye ya.”
And Caleb said, I will give Achsah, my daughter, as wife to the man who overcomes Kiriath-sepher and takes it.
17 Ya mere, Otniel, nwa Kenaz, nwa nwanne Kaleb, lụgburu obodo ahụ nʼagha. Nʼihi nke a, Kaleb kpọnyere ya Aksa, bụ nwa ya nwanyị ka ọ bụrụ nwunye ya.
And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's brother, took it: so he gave him his daughter Achsah for his wife.
18 Otu ụbọchị, mgbe Aksa bịakwutere Otniel, ọ kwagidere ya ka ọ rịọọ ala ubi site nʼaka nna ya. Mgbe Aksa si nʼelu ịnyịnya ibu ya rịdata, Kaleb jụrụ ya sị, “Gịnị ka ị chọrọ ka m mere gị?”
Now when she came to him, he put into her mind the idea of requesting a field from her father: and she got down from her ass; and Caleb said to her, What is it?
19 Ọ zaghachiri, “Nyem onyinye pụrụ iche. Ebe ọ bụ na i nyela m ala Negev, biko nyekwa m isi mmiri ụfọdụ.” Nʼihi nke a, Kaleb nyere ya isi mmiri mgbago na isi mmiri nke ndịda.
And she said, Give me a blessing; because you have put me in dry south-land, now give me springs of water. So he gave her the higher spring and the lower spring.
20 Nke a bụ ihe nketa ebo Juda dịka ikwu ha niile si dị.
This is the heritage of the tribe of Judah, by their families.
21 Obodo niile nke ndị ebo Juda dị na Negev, nʼakụkụ ndịda nʼoke ala Edọm bụ ndị a: Kabzeel, Eda, Jaguo,
The farthest towns of the tribe of Judah in the direction of the limits of Edom to the south, were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;
And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth;
25 Hazọ Hadata, Keriọt Hezrọn (ya bụ Hazoa),
And Hazor-hadattah, and Kerioth-hezron (which is Hazor);
26 Amam, Shema, na Molada,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah;
27 Haza Gada, Heshmọn, Bet-Pelet,
And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet;
28 Haza Shual, Bịasheba, Biziotịa,
And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah;
Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem;
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah;
31 Ziklag, Madmanna, Sansanna,
And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah;
32 Lebaot, Shilhim, Ain na Rimọn. Ọnụọgụgụ obodo ndị a dị iri abụọ na itoolu. Obodo nta ndị ọzọ gbara ha niile gburugburu.
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the towns are twenty-nine, with their unwalled places.
33 Obodo niile ndị a dị na ndịda ugwu ka e nyekwara ebo Juda. Obodo ndị a bụ, Eshtaol, Zora, Ashna,
In the lowland, Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;
34 Zanoa, En-Ganim, Tapụọa, Enam,
And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;
35 Jamut, Adulam, Soko, Azeka,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;
36 Shaaraim, Aditaịm na Gedera (maọbụ Gederotaịm). Ha niile dị obodo iri na anọ. Obodo nta ndị ọzọ gbakwara ha gburugburu.
And Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen towns with their unwalled places.
37 Ebo Juda ketara Zenan, Hadasha, Migdal Gad,
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad;
38 Dilean, Mizpa, Jekteel,
And Dilan, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel;
39 Lakish, Bozkat, Eglọn,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon;
40 Kabọn, Laamam, Kitlish,
And Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish;
41 Gederọt, Bet-Dagọn, Naama na Makeda. Obodo ndị a dị iri na isii, tinyekwara obodo nta ha. Ndị Juda ketakwara:
And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen towns with their unwalled places.
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan;
And Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib;
44 Keila, Akzib na Maresha. Ha niile dị obodo itoolu, tinyekwara obodo nta ha niile.
And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine towns with their unwalled places.
45 Ha ketakwara Ekrọn, na obodo nta ya niile.
Ekron, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places;
46 Ọ bụ ha nwekwa obodo niile dị nʼakụkụ ọdịda anyanwụ Ekrọn, ndị dị nso nso Ashdọd, na obodo nta niile dị ha nso.
From Ekron to the sea, all the towns by the side of Ashdod, with their unwalled places.
47 Ma Ashdọd nʼonwe ya, na ụmụ obodo nta ya niile, na Gaza na obodo nta ya niile, ruo nʼiyi Ijipt, na ruo nʼoke osimiri Mediterenịa.
Ashdod, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places; Gaza, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places, to the stream of Egypt, with the Great Sea as a limit.
48 Ha nwetakwara ala ndị dị nʼugwu ugwu bụ, Shamia, Jatịa, Sokoh,
And in the hill-country, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh;
49 Dana, Kiriat-Sana (ya bụ Debịa),
And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah (which is Debir);
And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim;
51 Goshen, Họlọn na Gailo, ha niile dị obodo iri na otu tinyere obodo nta ha niile.
And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven towns with their unwalled places.

Arab, and Dumah, and Eshan;
53 Janim, Bet-Tapụọa, Afeka,
And Janim, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah;
54 Humta, Kiriat Aba nke bụ Hebrọn na Zior, obodo itoolu tinyere obodo nta ha niile.
And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba (which is Hebron), and Zior; nine towns with their unwalled places.
55 Maon, Kamel, Zif, Juta,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Jutah;
56 Jezril, na Jokdeam, Zanoa,
And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah;
57 Kain, Gibea na Timna, obodo iri tinyere obodo nta ha niile.
Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten towns with their unwalled places.
58 Halhaul, Bet Zoa, Gedoa,
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor;

And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six towns with their unwalled places.

In the waste land, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;
62 Nibshan, Obodo Nnu na En-Gedi, obodo isii tinyere obodo nta ha niile.
And Nibshan, and the Town of Salt, and En-gedi; six towns with their unwalled places.
63 Ma ebo Juda enweghị ike ịchụpụ ndị Jebus bi nʼime Jerusalem; ruo taa ndị Jebus bi na Jerusalem, nʼetiti ụmụ Juda.
And as for the Jebusites living in Jerusalem, the children of Judah were unable to make them go out; but the Jebusites are living with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, to this day.
