1 Mgbe ihe ndị a gasịrị, Jisọs gosiri ndị na-eso ụzọ ya onwe ya ọzọ. O mere nke a nʼakụkụ osimiri nke Tiberịas, lee otu o si mee.
After these things, Jesus showed himself again to his disciples, at the sea of Tiberias: and he showed himself thus:
2 Ụfọdụ nʼime ndị na-eso ụzọ ya nọkọrọ otu ebe. Ndị a bụ Saimọn Pita na Tọmọs (onye a na-akpọ Didimọs), na Nataniel, onye Kena nke Galili na ụmụ Zebedi, na mmadụ abụọ ndị ọzọ bụkwa ndị ozi ya.
There were together, Simon Cephas, and Thomas called the Twin, and Nathaniel who was of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of the disciples.
3 Saimọn Pita sịrị ha, “Ana m aga igbu azụ.” Ha sịrị, “Anyị ga-eso gị.” Ha biliri gaa, banye nʼime ụgbọ mmiri. Ma nʼabalị ahụ niile ha egbuteghị ihe ọbụla.
Simon Cephas said to them: I will go and catch fishes. They said to him: We will go with thee. And they went, and embarked in a ship: and that night, they caught nothing.
4 Mgbe chi na-abọ Jisọs guzoro nʼakụkụ mmiri. Ma ndị na-eso ụzọ ya amataghị na ọ bụ Jisọs.
And when it was morning, Jesus stood on the shore of the sea: and the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.
5 Jisọs sịrị ha, “Ụmụntakịrị, unu gbutere azụ ọbụla?” Ha zara ya, “Mba.”
And Jesus said to them: Lads, have ye any thing to eat? They say to him: No.
6 Ọ gwara ha, “Wụnyenụ ụgbụ unu nʼakụkụ aka nri nke ụgbọ. Unu ga-egbutekwa azụ.” Mgbe ha mere nke a, ha enwekwaghị ike ịdọpụta ụgbụ ha, nʼihi ọtụtụ azụ nke dị nʼime ya.
He said to them: Cast your net on the right side of the ship, and ye will find them. And they cast; and they could not draw up the net, because of the multitude of fishes it contained.
7 Mgbe ahụ onye ahụ na-eso ụzọ ya Jisọs hụrụ nʼanya gwara Pita, “Ọ bụ Onyenwe anyị!” Ngwangwa Saimọn Pita nụrụ na “ọ bụ Onyenwe anyị,” ọ yiiri uwe ya (nʼihi na ọ gba ọtọ), wụba nʼime mmiri ahụ.
And that disciple whom Jesus loved, said to Cephas That is our Lord. And Simon, when he heard that it was our Lord, took his tunic, and girded his loins, (for he had been naked, ) and threw himself into the sea, to go to Jesus.
8 Ndị ọzọ ndị na-eso ụzọ ya bịara nʼụgbọ mmiri nta ahụ, na-adọpụta ụgbụ ha nke azụ juru nʼime ya, nʼihi na ha nọ nso nʼala ihe dị ka narị nzọ ụkwụ na ise.
But the other disciples came in the ship, (for they were not very far from the land, only about two hundred cubits, ) and they dragged the net with the fishes.
9 Mgbe ha pụtara nʼelu ala, ha hụrụ ọkụ a kwanyere, nke a hụkwasịrị azụ nʼelu ya na ogbe achịcha.
And when they came upon the land, they saw coals placed, and fish laid on them, and bread.
10 Jisọs gwara ha, “Wetanụ ụfọdụ nʼime azụ ndị ahụ unu gbutere ugbu a.”
And Jesus said to them: Bring some of the fishes, which ye have just caught.
11 Saimọn Pita pụrụ gaa dọgota ụgbụ azụ ahụ nʼelu ala. Ihe juru ya bụ azụ ndị ukwuu nke ọnụọgụgụ ya dị narị na iri ise na atọ. Ma ụgbụ ahụ adọwaghị nʼagbanyeghị na azụ juru nʼime ya.
And Simon Cephas embarked, and drew the net to land, full of huge fishes, one hundred and fifty and three. And with all this weight, the net was not rent.
12 Jisọs sịrị ha, “Bịanụ rie nri ụtụtụ.” Ọ dịghị onye ọbụla nʼime ndị ahụ na-eso ụzọ ya jụrụ ya, “Ị bụ onye?” Nʼihi na ha maara na ọ bụ Onyenwe anyị.
And Jesus said to them: Come and dine. And no one of the disciples presumed to ask him, who he was; for they knew that it was our Lord.
13 Jisọs bịara were achịcha ahụ nye ha. Otu ahụ ka o mekwara azụ ahụ.
And Jesus came, and took bread and fishes, and gave to his disciples.
14 Nke a bụ ugboro atọ Jisọs gosiri ndị na-eso ụzọ ya onwe ya mgbe e mere ka o si nʼọnwụ bilie.
This is the third time that Jesus appeared to his disciples when he had arisen from the dead.
15 Mgbe ha risiri nri ụtụtụ, Jisọs sịrị Saimọn Pita, “Saimọn nwa Jọn, ị hụrụ m nʼanya karịa ndị a niile?” Ọ sịrị ya, “E, Onyenwe anyị, ị maara na m hụrụ gị nʼanya.” Jisọs sịrị ya, “Na-azụ ụmụ atụrụ m.”
And when they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Cephas: Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me, more than these do? He said to him: Yes, my Lord: thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus said to him: Feed my lambs for me.
16 Jisọs sịrị ya nke ugboro abụọ, “Saimọn nwa Jọn, ị hụrụ m nʼanya?” Ọ sịrị, “E, Onyenwe anyị, ị maara na m hụrụ gị nʼanya.” Ọ sịrị ya, “Na-elekọta atụrụ m.”
Again, he said to him the second time: Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He said to him: Yes, my Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus said to him: Feed my sheep for me.
17 Ọ sịrị ya nke ugboro atọ, “Saimọn nwa Jọn, ị hụrụ m nʼanya?” O wutere Pita na ọ sịrị ya nke ugboro atọ, “ị hụrụ m nʼanya?” Ọ sịrị ya, “Onyenwe anyị, ị mazuru ihe niile, ị makwaara na m hụrụ gị nʼanya.” Jisọs sịrị ya, “Na-azụ atụrụ m.
Again, Jesus said to him the third time: Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? And it grieved Cephas, that he said to him the third time, Lovest thou me; and he said to him: My Lord, thou understandest all things, thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus said to him: Feed my sheep for me.
18 Nʼezie, nʼezie asị m gị, mgbe ị bụ okorobịa ị na-eke ajị nʼukwu, gaa ebe ị chọrọ ịga. Ma mgbe ị ghọrọ agadi, ị ga-esetipụ aka gị, onye ọzọ ga-ekee gị ihe okike nʼukwu ma duru gị gaa ebe ị na-achọghị ịga.”
Verily, verily, I say to thee: When thou wast young, thou girdedst thy own loins, and walkedst whither it pleased thee: but when thou shalt be old, thou wilt extend thy hands, and another will gird thy loins for thee, and will conduct thee whither thou wouldst not.
19 O kwuru nke a iji gosi ụdị ọnwụ ọ ga-anwụ iji nye Chineke otuto. Mgbe nke a mesịrị, ọ sịrị ya, “Soro m.”
And this he said, to show by what death he was to glorify God. And having said these things, he said to him: Follow me.
20 Pita chigharịrị hụ onye ahụ na-eso ụzọ ya nke Jisọs hụrụ nʼanya ka ọ na-esokwa ha nʼazụ. (Ọ bụ onyeozi ahụ dabeere ya nʼobi na nri anyasị, nke sịrị, “Onyenwe anyị, onye ga-arara gị nye?”)
And Simon turned himself, and saw coming after him, that disciple whom Jesus loved, who fell on the breast of Jesus at the supper, and said, My Lord, who is it will betray thee?
21 Mgbe Pita hụrụ ya, ọ sịrị Jisọs, “Onyenwe anyị kedụ maka onye a?”
Him Cephas saw, and said to Jesus: My Lord, as for this man, what?
22 Jisọs sịrị ya, “Ọ bụrụ na m achọọ ka ọ nọgide ruo mgbe m ga-alọghachi gịnị ka nke a bụ nye gị? Soro m.”
Jesus said to him: If I will, that he abide here until I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me.
23 Ya mere, akụkọ a gbasara nʼetiti ụmụnna na onye a na-eso ụzọ ya agaghị anwụ. Ma Jisọs asịghị ya na ọ gaghị anwụ anwụ, kama, “Ọ bụrụ na m chọrọ ka ọ nọgide ruo mgbe m ga-abịa, ọ gbasara gị?”
And this saying went forth among the brethren, that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say, that he would not die; but, If I will that he abide here until I come, what is that to thee.
24 Nke a bụ onye ahụ na-eso ụzọ ya onye na-agba ama ihe ndị a niile, ma deekwa ha nʼakwụkwọ. Anyị makwaara na ama ya bụ eziokwu.
This is the disciple who hath testified of all these things, and hath written them: and we know, that his testimony is true.
25 Ma ọ dị ọtụtụ ihe ndị ọzọ Jisọs mere. Ọ bụrụ na e dee ha niile nʼakwụkwọ, ọ dịghị m ka ụwa niile ọ ga-aba akwụkwọ a ga-ede banyere ha.
And there are also many other things, which Jesus did; which, if written out with particularity, the world itself, as I suppose, would not suffice for the books that would be written. Completion of the Holy Gospel, the announcement of John the Evangelist; which he uttered, in Greek, at Ephesus.
