< Jọn 2 >
1 Nʼụbọchị nke atọ, o nwere mmemme agbamakwụkwọ na Kena nke Galili, nne Jisọs bịakwara ebe ahụ.
And on the third day there was a feast in Cana, a city of Galilee: and the mother of Jesus was there.
2 A kpọkwara Jisọs na ndị na-eso ụzọ ya oku na mmemme agbamakwụkwọ a.
And also Jesus and his disciples were invited to the feast.
And the wine fell short: and his mother said to Jesus: They have no wine.
Jesus said to her: What is in common to me and thee? Not yet hath my hour come.
5 Nne ya gwara ndị na-eje ozi, “Ihe ọbụla ọ gwara unu, meenụ ya.”
His mother said to the waiters: Whatever he saith to you, do it.
6 A dọbara ite mmiri nkume isii buru ibu nʼakụkụ ebe ahụ, nke a na-eji agbanye mmiri ndị Juu na-eji asachasị onwe ha ma ha chọọ ikpe ekpere. Otu nʼime ha na-eri ihe dị ka galọọnụ iri abụọ ma ihe ruru iri atọ.
And there were there six waterpots of stone, set for the purification of Jews, containing each two or three quadrantalia.
7 Jisọs gwara ha, “Gbajuonụ ite ndị a mmiri.” Ya mere, ha gbajupụtara ha mmiri.
Jesus said to them: Fill those water-pots with water. And they filled them to the top.
8 Mgbe ahụ, ọ gwara ha, “Ugbu a, gbapụtanụ ụfọdụ bugara onyeisi oche.” Ha mekwara nke a.
He said to them: Draw now, and carry to the master of the feast. And they carried.
9 Mgbe ahụ onyeisi oche ahụ detụrụ mmiri ahụ e mere ka ọ ghọọ mmanya ọnụ. Ọ mataghị ebe o siri pụta (ma ndị na-eje ozi, ndị kutere mmiri ahụ matara), onyeisi oche ahụ kpọpụtara onye ahụ na-alụ nwunye ọhụrụ iche
And when the master of the feast tasted the water that had become wine, and did not know whence it came, (although the waiters knew, as they had filled the pots with water, ) the master of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 sị ya, “Nʼoge mmemme ọbụla, a na-ebu ụzọ buputa mmanya dị ụtọ, ma bupụtakwa nke na-adịghị ụtọ nʼikpeazụ, mgbe ndị mmadụ ṅụjuchara afọ, ma i chebere mmanya dị ụtọ buputa ya ugbu a.”
and said to him: Every man first bringeth forward the good wine, and when they are satiated, then that which is inferior; but thou hast kept the good wine till now.
11 Nke a bụ mmalite ihe ama Jisọs mere na Kena nke Galili, o sitere na nke a kpughee ebube ya, ndị na-eso ụzọ ya kwenyekwara na ya.
This is the first sign, which Jesus wrought at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory: and his disciples believed on him.
Afterwards he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother and his brothers and his disciples; and they were there a few days.
13 Mgbe mmemme oriri Ngabiga nke ndị Juu na-abịaru nso, Jisọs gara Jerusalem.
And the pass over of the Jews drew near; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 Nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwu, ọ hụrụ ndị na-ere ehi, na atụrụ na nduru. Hụkwa ndị nọdụrụ na tebul na-agbanwe ego.
And he found in the temple those who sold beeves and sheep and doves, and the money-changers sitting there.
15 Ya mere, o jiri eriri mere ụtarị chụpụsịa ndị niile nọ na-ere ahịa nʼụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ, tinyekwara ehi na atụrụ ha. Ọ kwafusịrị mkpụrụ ego ndị ahụ na-agbanwe ego, kpugharịakwa tebul ha ihu.
And he made himself a whip from a cord, and turned them all out of the temple, and the sheep and the beeves and the money-changers; and he poured out their money, and overset their tables:
16 Ọ sịrị ndị ahụ na-ere nduru, “Wepụnụ ihe ndị a nʼebe a. Kwụsịnụ ime ụlọ Nna m ka ọ bụrụ ebe a na-azụ ahịa.”
and he said to them that sold doves, Take away these things; and make not my Father's house a house of traffic.
And his disciples remembered, that it is written: The zeal of thy house hath devoured me.
18 Ma ndị Juu sịrị ya, “Olee ihe ịrịbama ị pụrụ igosi anyị na ikike i ji eme ihe ndị a.”
But the Jews replied, and said to him: What sign showest thou to us, since thou doest these things?
19 Jisọs zara sị, “Kwatuonụ ụlọnsọ ukwu a, aga m ewughachikwa ya nʼabalị atọ.”
Jesus answered, and said to them: Demolish this temple, and in three days I will again erect it.
20 Ndị Juu kwuru, “Ụlọnsọ ukwu a were anyị iri afọ anọ na isii ịrụ ya, ị ga-ewughachi ya nʼabalị atọ?”
The Jews said to him: Forty and six years, this temple was building; and wilt thou build it again in three days?
21 Ma ụlọnsọ o kwuru maka ya bụ ahụ ya.
But he spake of the temple of his body.
And when he was arisen from the dead, his disciples remembered, that he spoke this: and they believed the scriptures, and the word that Jesus spake.
And while Jesus was in Jerusalem, at the feast of the passover, many believed on him, because they saw the signs he wrought.
24 Ma Jisọs atụkwasịghị ha obi nʼihi na ọ matara mmadụ niile nke ọma.
But Jesus did not confide himself to them; because he knew all men:
25 Ọ dịghị ya mkpa ka onye ọbụla gbaa akaebe banyere ụmụ mmadụ, nʼihi na ya onwe ya maara ihe dị nʼime mmadụ.
And he needed not that any one should testify to him respecting any man; for he himself knew what is in man.
