1 Mgbe Jisọs kwusiri okwu ndị a, o leliri anya nʼeluigwe sị, “Nna, oge ahụ a kara aka eruola, nye Ọkpara gị otuto, ka Ọkpara gị nyekwa gị otuto.
These things Jesus spoke, and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee;
2 I nyela ya ikike nʼebe mmadụ niile nọ, na ike inye ndị niile i nyere ya ndụ ebighị ebi. (aiōnios g166)
as thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that [as to] all that thou hast given to him, he should give them life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
3 Nke a bụkwa ndụ ebighị ebi ahụ. Ka ha mata na naanị gị bụ Chineke nʼezie, matakwa Jisọs Kraịst onye ahụ i zitere nʼụwa. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the eternal life, that they should know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. (aiōnios g166)
4 Enyere m gị otuto nʼụwa site nʼịrụzu ọrụ niile ị nyere m ka m rụọ.
I have glorified thee on the earth, I have completed the work which thou gavest me that I should do it;
5 Ma ugbu a, Nna, nye m otuto nʼihu gị, ụdị otuto ahụ m nwere nʼihu gị tupu e kee ụwa.
and now glorify me, thou Father, along with thyself, with the glory which I had along with thee before the world was.
6 “Emere m ka ndị ahụ i siri nʼụwa kponye m mara aha gị. Ha bụ ndị nke gị, i nyere m ha, ha debekwara okwu gị.
I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. They were thine, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy word.
7 Ugbu a, ha amarala na ihe niile i nyere m si nʼaka gị bịa.
Now they have known that all things that thou hast given me are of thee;
8 Ma ugbu a, enyela m ha okwu ahụ i nyere m, ha nabatakwara ya, marakwa nʼeziokwu na-esi m nʼebe ị nọ bịa. Ha kwenyekwara na ọ bụ gị zitere m.
for the words which thou hast given me I have given them, and they have received [them], and have known truly that I came out from thee, and have believed that thou sentest me.
9 Ana m ekpere ha ekpere, ọ bụghị nʼihi ụwa ka m na-ekpe ekpere. Kama ana m ekpe ekpere banyere ndị ahụ i nyere m, nʼihi na ha bụkwa ndị nke gị.
I demand concerning them; I do not demand concerning the world, but concerning those whom thou hast given me, for they are thine,
10 Ihe niile m nwere bụ nke gị, ihe niile i nwere bụkwa nke m. E sitere na ha mee ka otuto m pụta ìhè.
(and all that is mine is thine, and [all] that is thine mine, ) and I am glorified in them.
11 Ugbu a, anọghịkwa nʼime ụwa, ma ha ka nọ nʼime ụwa, ana m alaghachikwute gị. Ya mere, Nna dị nsọ, chebe ha nke ọma site nʼike nke aha gị, bụ aha nke ahụ i nyere m, ka ha bụrụ otu dịka anyị onwe anyị si bụrụ otu.
And I am no longer in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one as we.
12 Mgbe mụ na ha nọ nʼụwa, echebere m ha site nʼaha gị nke i nyere m. Echebekwara m ha, o nwekwaghị onye ọbụla nʼime ha lara nʼiyi, karịakwa onye ahụ bụ nwa nke ịla nʼiyi, ka e mezuo ihe akwụkwọ nsọ kwuru.
When I was with them I kept them in thy name; those thou hast given me I have guarded, and not one of them has perished, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 “Ma ugbu a, ana m alọghachikwute gị, ma ana m ekwu ihe ndị a nʼụwa ugbu a ka ha nwee nʼọṅụ m, nʼebe o zuruoke nʼime ha.
And now I come to thee. And these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in them.
14 Enyela m ha okwu gị. Ma nʼihi ya, ụwa akpọọla ha asị. Nʼihi na ha abụghị ndị nke ụwa dị ka mụ onwe m na-abụghị onye nke ụwa.
I have given them thy word, and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.
15 Ekpeghị m ekpere ka iwepụ ha nʼụwa, kama ka ịnapụta ha site nʼaka ajọ onye ahụ.
I do not demand that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them out of evil.
16 Ha onwe ha abụghị ndị nke ụwa dị ka mụ onwe m na-abụkwaghị onye nke ụwa.
They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.
17 Were eziokwu doo ha nsọ, okwu gị bụ eziokwu.
Sanctify them by the truth: thy word is truth.
18 Dị ka i siri zite m nʼụwa, otu a ka m na-ezipụkwa ha nʼụwa.
As thou hast sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world;
19 Ọ bụkwa nʼihi ha ka m jiri debe onwe m nsọ, ka ha onwe ha bụrụkwa ndị e doro nsọ nʼeziokwu.
and I sanctify myself for them, that they also may be sanctified by truth.
20 “Ekpeghị m ekpere a nʼihi ndị a naanị. Kama ana m ekpekwa ekpere a nʼihi ndị niile ga-ekwere na mụ, site nʼokwu ha.
And I do not demand for these only, but also for those who believe on me through their word;
21 Ka ha niile bụrụ otu, Nna, dị ka ị nọ nʼime m mụ a nọrọ nʼime gị. Ka ha nọrọkwa nʼime anyị ka ụwa kwere na ọ bụ gị zitere m.
that they may be all one, as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 Enyere m ha otuto nke i nyere m, ka ha bụrụ otu dị ka anyị onwe anyị si bụrụ otu;
And the glory which thou hast given me I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one;
23 Mụ onwe m nʼime ha, gị onwe gị nʼime m. Ka e mee ka ha bụrụ otu nʼụzọ zuruoke, ka ụwa matakwa na ọ bụ gị zitere m, na ị hụkwara ha nʼanya dị ka ị si hụ m nʼanya.
I in them and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one [and] that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and [that] thou hast loved them as thou hast loved me.
24 “Nna, achọrọ m ka ndị niile i nyere m soro m nọrọ ebe m nọ. Ka ha hụ otuto m nke i nyere m nʼihi na ị hụrụ m nʼanya tupu atọọ ntọala nke ụwa.
Father, [as to] those whom thou hast given me, I desire that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me, for thou lovedst me before [the] foundation of [the] world.
25 “Nna onye ezi omume, ụwa amaghị gị. Ma amaara m gị. Ndị a matakwara na ọ bụ gị zitere m.
Righteous Father, — and the world has not known thee, but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 Emekwara m ka ha mara aha gị. Aga m agakwa nʼihu ime ka ha mara ya. Ka ịhụnanya ahụ i nwere nʼebe m nọ dịgide nʼime ha, ka mụ onwe m nọgidekwa nʼime ha.”
And I have made known to them thy name, and will make [it] known; that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them and I in them.
