< Job 40 >
1 Onyenwe anyị zara Job sị:
And the LORD said to Job:
2 “Onye ahụ na-arụso Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile ụka ọ pụrụ ịdọ ya aka na ntị? Ka onye ahụ na-ebo Chineke ebubo zaghachi ya.”
“Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty? Let him who argues with God give an answer.”
3 Mgbe ahụ, Job zaghachiri Onyenwe anyị sị:
Then Job answered the LORD:
4 “Abụ m onye na-erughị eru. Oleekwanụ ka m ga-esi zaghachi gị? Eji m aka m kpuchie ọnụ m.
“Behold, I am insignificant. How can I reply to You? I place my hand over my mouth.
5 Ekwuola m mbụ, ma enweghị m ọsịsa ọzọ kwuokwa ugboro abụọ, ma agaghị m ekwukwa ọzọ.”
I have spoken once, but I have no answer— twice, but I have nothing to add.”
6 Mgbe ahụ, Onyenwe anyị sitere nʼoke ifufe gwa Job okwu sị:
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said:
7 “Kwadoo onwe gị dịka dimkpa; enwere m ajụjụ m ga-ajụ gị, achọkwara m ka i nye m ọsịsa.
“Now brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall inform Me.
8 “Ị ga-aga nʼihu ikwujọ ikpe ziri ezi m? Ị ga-aga nʼihu maa m ikpe ka ị si otu a bụrụ onye ikpe gaara?
Would you really annul My justice? Would you condemn Me to justify yourself?
9 Ogwe aka gị ọ dị ike dịka nke Chineke? Olu gị ọ pụrụ ịda ụda dịka nke ya?
Do you have an arm like God’s? Can you thunder with a voice like His?
10 Were ebube na ịdị ukwuu chọọ onwe gị mma, yikwasịkwa onwe gị nsọpụrụ na ugwu dịka uwe.
Then adorn yourself with majesty and splendor, and clothe yourself with honor and glory.
11 Wụsa iwe gị dị ọkụ nʼebe ndị mpako niile nọ, weda ha nʼala,
Unleash the fury of your wrath; look on every proud man and bring him low.
12 lekwasịkwa ndị mpako niile anya mee ha ihe ihere, ma tiriekwa ndị na-emebi iwu ebe ha guzo.
Look on every proud man and humble him; trample the wicked where they stand.
13 Likọta ha niile nʼotu nʼaja, kpuchie ihu ha niile nʼala ili.
Bury them together in the dust; imprison them in the grave.
14 Mgbe ahụ, mụ onwe m ga-ekwenyere gị, na aka nri nwere ike ịzọpụta gị.
Then I will confess to you that your own right hand can save you.
15 “Lee enyi mmiri anya, bụ nke m kere dịka m si kee gị, ma ihe ọ na-eri bụ ahịhịa dịka ehi.
Look at Behemoth, which I made along with you. He feeds on grass like an ox.
16 Lee ike dị nʼukwu ya, leekwa ike dị nʼime afọ ya.
See the strength of his loins and the power in the muscles of his belly.
17 Ọdụdụ ya ka ọ na-efegharị dịka osisi sida; akwara dị ya nʼahụ ka e jikọtara nke ọma.
His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are tightly knit.
18 Ọkpụkpụ ya niile dịka ogidi bronz nwere ụmị, ọkpụkpụ ụkwụ na aka ya dịka okporo igwe.
His bones are tubes of bronze; his limbs are rods of iron.
19 Ya onwe ya bụ otu nʼime ọrụ aka mbụ nke Chineke, ma naanị onye kere ya nwere ike iji mma agha bịa ya nso.
He is the foremost of God’s works; only his Maker can draw the sword against him.
20 Ugwu na-enye ya ihe ọ na-eri. Nʼebe ahụ kwa ka ụmụ anụ ọhịa ndị ọzọ na-anọ egwuri egwu.
The hills yield him their produce, while all the beasts of the field play nearby.
21 Ọ na-edina nʼokpuru ahịhịa na-eto nʼakụkụ mmiri, zookwa onwe ya nʼetiti ahịhịa riidi nʼapịtị.
He lies under the lotus plants, hidden among the reeds of the marsh.
22 Ahịhịa lotus na-eji ndo ya kpuchie ya, osisi pọpla nke dị nʼakụkụ mmiri gbara ya gburugburu.
The lotus plants conceal him in their shade; the willows of the brook surround him.
23 Ọ bụladị mgbe ebili mmiri na-ama, ọ dịghị atụ egwu; ọ na-anọ nwayọọ, nʼagbanyeghị na mmiri Jọdan na-asọpụta na-asọju ya nʼọnụ.
Though the river rages, Behemoth is unafraid; he remains secure, though the Jordan surges to his mouth.
24 Onye pụrụ ijide ya mgbe ọ na-ele anya, maọbụ were ọnya jide ya mapuo ya imi?
Can anyone capture him as he looks on, or pierce his nose with a snare?
