< Job 18 >

1 Mgbe ahụ Bildad onye Shua zara sị:
And he answered Bildad the Shuhite and he said.
2 “Ruo ole mgbe ka ị ga-ekwubi okwu ndị a ị na-ekwu? Nwee ezi uche ka anyị kparịtaa ụka.
Until when? - will you make! ends of words you will consider and after we will speak.
3 Gịnị mere i ji were anyị dịka anụ ọhịa, gụọ anyị dịka ndị na-enweghị uche nʼanya gị?
Why? are we regarded like cattle are we considered stupid? in view your.
4 Gị onye na-eji iwe adọkasị onwe gị, a ga-ahapụ ụwa nʼihi gị? Ka a ga-enupu oke nkume nʼọnọdụ ha?
O [one who] tears self his in anger his ¿ for sake your may it be abandoned [the] earth so it may move? a rock from place its.
5 “A na-afụnyụ oriọna nke onye na-emebi iwu; ire ọkụ ya ga-akwụsịkwa inwu enwu,
Also [the] light of wicked [people] it is extinguished and not it shines [the] flame of fire his.
6 ìhè nke dị nʼime ụlọ ikwu ya na-abụ ọchịchịrị, oriọna nke dị nʼakụkụ ya na-anyụkwa.
[the] light It grows dark in tent his and lamp his above him it is extinguished.
7 Ike agakwaghị adị na nzọ ukwu ya; atụmatụ ya onwe ya ga-atụda ya nʼala.
They are restricted [the] steps of vigor his and it throws down him own plan[s] his.
8 Ụkwụ ya na-eduba ya nʼọnya; ọ na-akpagharị na-adaba nʼime oghere.
For he is caught in a net by feet his and on a network he walks about.
9 Ọnya na-ejide ikiri ụkwụ ya, ọnya ahụ na-ejidesi ya ike.
It takes hold on a heel a trap it takes hold on him a snare.
10 E zobere ya ụdọ ọnya igbudu nʼala, ihe e ji ejide ya na-echere ya nʼụzọ ya.
[is] hidden On the ground rope his and trap his on [the] path.
11 Ihe egwu na-emenye ya ụjọ nʼakụkụ niile, na-agbasokwa nzọ ụkwụ ya niile.
All around they terrify him sudden terror and they scatter him to feet his.
12 Ịla nʼiyi na-achọsi ya ike; mbibi nọkwa na njikere na-eche mgbe ọ ga-ada.
It is hungry trouble his and disaster [is] prepared for stumbling his.
13 Mbibi na-eripịa akụkụ anụ ahụ ya; ọkpara ọnwụ na-eripịa ahụ ya niile.
It consumes [the] parts of skin his it consumes parts his [the] firstborn of death.
14 Esi na nchekwa nke ụlọ ikwu ya dọpụta ya duru ya jekwuru eze nke ihe egwu niile.
He is torn away from tent his trust his and it makes march him to [the] king of sudden terror.
15 Ọkụ na-ebi nʼime ụlọ ikwu ya; a ga-efesasị nkume na-enwu ọkụ nʼebe obibi ya.
It dwells in tent his because not [belonging] to him it is scattered over estate his sulfur.
16 Mgbọrọgwụ ya na-akpọ nkụ nʼime ala, alaka ya ga-akpọnwụ nʼelu.
Beneath roots his they are dried up and above it withers branch[es] his.
17 A gaghị echeta echiche ya nʼụwa ọzọ, o nweghị onye ọbụla na-echetakwa aha ya.
Memory his it perishes from [the] earth and not a name [belongs] to him on [the] face of [the] street.
18 A na-esite nʼìhè chụba ya nʼọchịchịrị, otu a kwa, a na-achụpụkwa ya site nʼụwa.
People drive him from light into darkness and from [the] world they chase away him.
19 O nweghị ụmụ, o nwekwaghị ụmụ ụmụ nʼetiti ndị ya, ọ dịghị onye fọdụrụ nʼebe o bi na mbụ.
Not posterity [belongs] to him and not progeny [is] among people his and there not [is] a survivor in sojourning-places his.
20 Ọnọdụ ya na-eju ndị si nʼọdịda anyanwụ anya; oke egwu na-ejidekwa ndị si nʼọwụwa anyanwụ nʼihi ya.
On day his they are appalled [those] behind and [those] before they take hold of a shudder.
21 Nʼezie, otu a ka ebe obibi nke onye ajọ omume dị, ee, bụ onye ahụ nke na-amaghị Chineke.”
Surely these [are] [the] dwelling places of an evil-doer and this [is the] place of [one who] not he knows God.
