< Job 11 >

1 Mgbe ahụ, Zofa onye Neama zara sị:
Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said:
2 “Ọ dịghị nzaghachi dịịrị ọtụtụ okwu niile ndị a? A ga-agụ onye ekwurekwu a dịka onye ikpe na-amaghị?
Shall not the multitude of words receive an answer? Shall the man of words be justified?
3 Okwu efu gị ndị a ha ga-eme ka mmadụ gba nkịtị? Ọ bụ na ọ dịghị onye ga-abara gị mba mgbe ị na-akwa emo?
Shall thy boastings make men hold their peace? Shalt thou mock, and none put thee to shame?
4 Ị na-asị Chineke, ‘Okwukwe m enweghị ntụpọ, adịkwa m ọcha nʼanya gị.’
Thou sayest, My speech is pure; I am clean in thine eyes, [[O God!]]
5 Ọ ga-adị m nnọọ mma ma a si na Chineke ga-ekwu okwu, na ọ ga-asaghe egbugbere ọnụ ya imegide gị.
But O that God would speak, And open his lips against thee;
6 Kpugheere gị ihe nzuzo niile nke amamihe, nʼihi na ezi amamihe nwere akụkụ abụọ. Mara nke a: Chineke echefuola ụfọdụ mmehie gị.
That he would show thee the secrets of his wisdom, —His wisdom, which is unsearchable! Then shouldst thou know that God forgiveth thee many of thine iniquities.
7 “I nwere ike ịchọpụta ihe omimi Chineke? I nwere ike ịnwapụta nsọtụ nke Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile?
Canst thou search out the deep things of God? Canst thou find out the Almighty to perfection?
8 Ha dị elu karịa eluigwe, gịnị ka ị pụrụ ime? Ha dị ogbu karịa ala ili, gịnị ka ị pụrụ ịma? (Sheol h7585)
'Tis high as heaven, what canst thou do? Deeper than hell, what canst thou know? (Sheol h7585)
9 Ọtụtụ ha dị ogologo karịa ụwa, dị obosara karịa oke osimiri.
The measure thereof is longer than the earth, And broader than the sea.
10 “Ọ bụrụ na ọ bịa tụba gị nʼime ụlọ mkpọrọ, kpọkọta ndị ikpe, onye ga-egbochi ya?
If he apprehend, and bind, and bring to trial, Who shall oppose him?
11 Nʼezie, ya onwe ya na-amata ndị nduhie, mgbe ọ hụrụ ajọ ihe, ọ bụ na ọ dịghị amatakwa ya?
For he knoweth the unrighteous; He seeth iniquity, when they do not observe it.
12 Onye nzuzu ga-aghọ onye maara ihe naanị mgbe nwa ịnyịnya ibu ọhịa mụrụ ghọrọ mmadụ.
But vain man is without understanding; Yea, man is born a wild ass's colt.
13 “Ma ọ bụrụ na i were obi gị nye ya, setịpụ aka gị abụọ nye ya,
If thou direct thy heart, And stretch out thy hands, toward him;
14 ọ bụrụ na i wezuga mmehie nke dị gị nʼaka, ghara ikwe ka ihe ọjọọ dịrị nʼụlọ ikwu gị
If thou put away iniquity from thy hand, And let not wickedness dwell in thy habitation, —
15 mgbe ahụ, ihere agaghị eme gị iwelite ihu gị, ị ga-eguzokwa chịm na-atụghị egwu.
Then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; Yea, thou shalt be steadfast, and have no fear.
16 Nʼezie ị ga-echefukwa nsogbu gị, na-echeta ya dịka mmiri gabigara agabiga.
For thou shalt forget thy misery, Or remember it as waters that have passed away.
17 Ndụ gị ga-amụke karịa etiti ehihie, ọchịchịrị ya ga-adịkwa ka ụtụtụ.
Thy life shall be brighter than the noon-day; Now thou art in darkness, thou shalt then be as morning.
18 Ị ga-anọkwa nʼudo nʼihi na olileanya dị; ị ga-elegharịkwa anya gburugburu gị zuo ike na-atụghị ụjọ.
Thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; Now thou art disappointed, thou shalt then rest in safety.
19 Ị ga-edina ala na-atụghị egwu onye ọbụla, ọtụtụ ndị mmadụ ga-achọ ịnata amara nʼihu gị.
Thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; And many shall make suit unto thee.
20 Ma anya ndị na-emebi iwu ga-ada, ha agaghị achọta ụzọ mgbapụ; olileanya ha ga-abụ nkubi ume nke ọnwụ.”
But the eyes of the wicked shall be wearied out; They shall find no refuge; Their hope is—the breathing forth of life.
