< Jeremaya 51 >

Thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, I wil raise vp against Babel, and against the inhabitants that lift vp their heart against me, a destroying wind,
And wil send vnto Babel fanners that shall fanne her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shalbe against her on euery side.
Also to the bender that bendeth his bowe, and to him that lifteth himselfe vp in his brigandine, will I say, Spare not her yong men, but destroy all her hoste.
4 Ha ga-ada, bụrụ ndị e gburu egbu nʼime Babilọn, ha ga-abụ ndị e merụrụ oke ahụ nʼokporoụzọ niile.
Thus the slaine shall fall in the lande of the Caldeans, and they that are thrust through in her streetes.
5 Ọ bụ ezie nʼala ha jupụtara nʼikpe ọmụma, nʼihu Onye nsọ nke Izrel, ma Chineke bụ Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile agbakụtabeghị ndị Izrel na Juda azụ.
For Israel hath bene no widowe, nor Iudah from his God, from the Lord of hostes, though their lande was filled with sinne against the holy one of Israel.
6 “Sinụ na Babilọn gbapụ ọsọ. Gbasienụ ọsọ ike nʼihi ndụ unu. Unu ekwela ka e bibie unu nʼihi mmehie ya. Oge ịbọ ọbọ Onyenwe anyị eruola, ọ ga-akwụghachi ya ihe ruuru ya.
Flee out of the middes of Babel, and deliuer euery man his soule: be not destroyed in her iniquitie: for this is the time of the Lordes vengeance he will render vnto her a recompence.
Babel hath bene as a golden cuppe in the Lordes hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations haue drunken of her wine, therefore do the nations rage.
8 Na mberede, Babilọn ga-ada, a ga-etipịakwa ya. Kwasierenụ ya akwa ike. Wetanụ ọgwụ tee ya, ma eleghị anya ọnya ahụ ga-adị ya mma.
Babel is suddenly fallen, and destroyed: howle for her, bring balme for her sore, if she may be healed.
9 “‘Anyị gaara agwọ Babilọn, ma ọrịa ji ya enweghị ngwọta. Ka anyị hapụnụ ya; ka anyị niile nʼotu nʼotu laghachi nʼobodo nke aka anyị, nʼihi na ikpe ọmụma dịrị ya eruola mbara eluigwe. Ọ na-arịgokwa ruo nʼigwe ojii.’
We would haue cured Babel, but she could not be healed: forsake her, and let vs go euery one into his owne countrey: for her iudgement is come vp vnto heauen, and is lifted vp to ye cloudes.
The Lord hath brought forth our righteousnesse: come and let vs declare in Zion the worke of the Lord our God.
11 “Mụọnụ ọnụ àkụ unu; bulienụ ọta unu! Onyenwe anyị akwaliela ndị eze ndị Midia, nʼihi na nzube ya bụ ịla Babilọn nʼiyi. Onyenwe anyị ga-abọrọ onwe ya ọbọ, ọ ga-abọtara ụlọnsọ ukwu ya ọbọ.
Make bright the arrowes: gather the shieldes: the Lord hath raised vp the spirit of the King of the Medes: for his purpose is against Babel to destroy it, because it is the vengeance of the Lord, and the vengeance of his Temple.
12 Bulienụ ọkọlọtọ nʼihi imegide mgbidi Babilọn. Tinyekwanụ ndị agha ọzọ nʼetiti ndị nche, ka ọnụọgụgụ ha hie nne Kwadoonụ ndị ga na-elepụ anya. Kwadoonụ ndị agha ga-ezo onwe ha, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị ga-eme ka ihe o zubere mezuo, bụ ihe ahụ o kpebiri megide ndị Babilọn.
Set vp the standart vpon the walles of Babel, make the watch strong: set vp the watchmen: prepare the skoutes: for the Lord hath both deuised, and done that which he spake against the inhabitantes of Babel.
13 Unu bụ ndị bi nʼakụkụ ọtụtụ mmiri, ndị nwere akụnụba dị ukwuu, ọgwụgwụ unu abịaruola. Oge ahụ eruola mgbe e ji wezuga unu.
O thou that dwellest vpon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine ende is come, euen the ende of thy couetousnes.
14 Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile ji onwe ya ṅụọ iyi, sị, Nʼezie, aga m eme ka ndị mmadụ ọnụọgụgụ ha ga-aha ka igurube jupụta nʼime gị. Ha ga-etikwa mkpu ọṅụ megide gị.
The Lord of hostes hath sworne by him selfe, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillers, and they shall cry and shoute against thee.
15 “O sitere nʼike ya mee ụwa; ọ tọrọ ntọala ụwa mee ka o guzosie ike site nʼamamihe ya, ọ jikwa nghọta ya setịpụ eluigwe niile.
He hath made the earth by his power, and established the world by his wisedome, and hath stretched out the heauen by his discretion.
Hee giueth by his voyce the multitude of waters in the heauen, and he causeth the cloudes to ascend from the endes of the earth: he turneth lightnings to raine, and bringeth forth the winde out of his treasures.
17 “Onye ọbụla bụ onye na-enweghị uche nke ihe ọmụma kọrọ. Emeela ka ihere mee onye ọkpụ ụzụ ọlaedo ọbụla site nʼarụsị ọ kpụrụ. Nʼihi na oyiyi niile ọ na-akpụ bụ aghụghọ; ha enweghị nkuume ọbụla nʼime ha.
Euery man is a beast by his owne knowledge: euery founder is confounded by the grauen image: for his melting is but falsehood, and there is no breath therein.
18 Ha bụ ihe efu, na ihe ịkwa emo, mgbe ikpe ọmụma ha bịakwasịrị ha, ha ga-ala nʼiyi.
They are vanitie, and the worke of errours: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
19 Ma onye ahụ bụ Oke Jekọb adịghị ka ihe ndị a, nʼihi na Ọ bụ ya na-eke ihe niile, tinyere Izrel bụ ebo nke ihe nketa ya. Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile bụ aha ya.
The portion of Iaakob is not like them: for he is the maker of all things, and Israel is the rodde of his inheritance: the Lord of hostes is his Name.
20 “Ị bụ mkpọrọ osisi m ji ebu agha, na ngwa agha m ga-eji gaa nʼihu agha. Gị ka m ga-eji tipịa mba niile dị iche iche, gị ka m ga-eji laa alaeze niile nʼiyi;
Thou art mine hammer, and weapons of warre: for with thee will I breake the nations, and with thee wil I destroy kingdomes,
21 gị ka m ga-eji tipịa ịnyịnya na onye na-agba ya, gị ka m ga-eji tipịa ụgbọ agha na onye na-anya ya;
And by thee wil I breake horse and horseman, and by thee will I breake the charet and him that rideth therein.
By thee also will I breake man and woman, and by thee wil I breake olde and yong, and by thee wil I breake the yong man and the mayde.
I wil also breake by thee the shepheard and his flocke, and by thee will I breake the husband man and his yoke of oxen, and by thee will I breake the dukes and princes.
24 “Nʼihu gị ka m ga-anọ kwụghachi Babilọn na ndị niile bi na Babilọn ihe ọjọọ niile ha mere na Zayọn,” ọ bụ ihe Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
And I will render vnto Babel, and to all the inhabitants of the Caldeans all their euil, that they haue done in Zion, euen in your sight, sayth the Lord.
25 “Edoola m onwe m imegide gị, gị ugwu ukwu na-emebisi ihe, gị onye na-ala ụwa niile nʼiyi.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara. “Aga m esetipụ aka m megide gị, kwapụ gị site na nkume dị elu. Aga m emekwa gị ka ị bụrụ ugwu ukwu e suru ọkụ.
Beholde, I come vnto thee, O destroying mountaine, sayth the Lord, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand vpon thee, and rolle thee downe from the rockes, and wil make thee a burnt mountaine.
26 A gaghị esite nʼime gị weta nkume e ji ewu isi nkuku ụlọ, maọbụ nke e ji ewu ntọala ụlọ ọbụla, nʼihi na ị ga-abụ ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu ruo mgbe ebighị ebi,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.
They shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations, but thou shalt be destroyed for euer, sayth the Lord.
27 “Bulienụ ọkọlọtọ elu nʼala ahụ. Fụọnụ opi ike nʼetiti mba niile. Kwadoonụ mba niile maka ibu agha megide ya; kpọkuonụ alaeze ndị a niile imegide ya: Ararat, na Mini, na Ashkenaz. Họpụtanụ ọchịagha ga-edu usuu ndị agha megide ya; ziganụ ịnyịnya ga-adị ukwuu nʼọnụọgụgụ, dịka igurube.
Set vp a standard in the lande: blowe the trumpets among the nations: prepare the nations against her: call vp the kingdomes of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz against her: appoynt the prince against her: cause horses to come vp as the rough caterpillers.
28 Kwadoonụ mba niile maka ibu agha megide ha, kwadoonụ ndị eze Midia, na ndị ha na-achị achị, na ndịisi ọchịchị, na mba niile nke ha na-achị.
Prepare against her the nations with the Kings of the Medes, the dukes thereof, and the princes thereof, and all the land of his dominion.
29 Ala ahụ na-ama jijiji, na-atakwa ikikere eze nke ihe mgbu, nʼihi na nzube Onyenwe anyị zubere megide Babilọn ga-emezu. Ọ ga-eme ka ala Babilọn ghọọ ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu, ka mmadụ ọbụla gharakwa ibi nʼime ya.
And the land shall tremble and sorow: for the deuise of the Lord shalbe performed against Babel, to make the lande of Babel waste without an inhabitant.
The strong men of Babel haue ceased to fight: they haue remayned in their holdes: their strength hath fayled, and they were like women: they haue burnt her dwelling places, and her barres are broken.
31 Otu onye na-agba ọsọ na-agbaso ọgba ọsọ ibe ya, otu onyeozi na-esochikwa onyeozi ọzọ nʼazụ; ha niile na-abịa izi eze Babilọn ozi sị ya na a dọtala obodo ya nʼagha,
A post shall runne to meete the post, and a messenger to meete the messenger, to shew the King of Babel, that his citie is taken on a side thereof,
And that the passages are stopped, and the reedes burnt with fire, and the me of war troubled.
33 Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, bụ Chineke Izrel kwuru, “Ada Babilọn dịka ebe ịzọcha ọka, nʼoge a na-azọcha ya. Mgbe a ga-ewe ya dịka e si ewe ihe ubi na-abịa nso.”
For thus sayth the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, the daughter of Babel is like a threshing floore: the time of her threshing is come: yet a litle while, and the time of her haruest shall come.
34 “Nebukadneza eze Babilọn eripịala anyị, o tinyela anyị nʼọnọdụ mgbagwoju anya. O meela ka anyị dịrị ka ite ihe na-adịghị nʼime ya. O lodara anyị dịka ọ bụ agwọ ọjọọ, jiri ihe ụtọ anyị niile mejuo afọ ya. Emesịa, ọ gbọpụtara anyị.
Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel hath deuoured me, and destroyed me: he hath made me an emptie vessel: he swallowed mee vp like a dragon, and filled his belly with my delicates, and hath cast me out.
The spoyle of me, and that which was left of me, is brought vnto Babel, shall the inhabitant of Zion say: and my blood vnto the inhabitantes of Caldea, shall Ierusalem say.
Therefore thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, I will maintayne thy cause, and take vengeance for thee, and I will drie vp the sea, and drie vp her springes.
37 Babilọn ga-aghọ mkpọmkpọ ebe, ọ ga-aghọ ebe obibi nke nkịta ọhịa, bụrụkwa ihe iju anya, na ihe nkọcha, na ebe mmadụ ọbụla na-agaghị ebikwa.
And Babel shall be as heapes, a dwelling place for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant.
38 Ndị ya niile na-agbọ ụja dịka ụmụ ọdụm, ha na-emekwa ụzụ dịka ụmụ ọdụm na-aṅụ ara.
They shall rore together like lions, and yell as the lyons whelpes.
Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
In their heate I will make them feastes, and I wil make them drunken, that they may reioyce, and sleepe a perpetual sleepe, and not wake, sayth the Lord.
40 “Aga m akpụdata ha, dịka ụmụ atụrụ a na-aga igbu egbu, dịka ebule na mkpi.
I wil bring them downe like lambes to the slaughter, and like rams and goates.
41 “Lee ka a ga-esi dọta Sheshak nʼagha, jichie ihe ụwa niile ji anya isi nʼagha. Lee ka Babilọn ga-esi ghọọ ihe tọgbọrọ nʼefu nʼetiti mba niile!
How is Sheshach taken! and howe is the glory of the whole earth taken! how is Babel become an astonishment among the nations!
42 Osimiri ga-eri Babilọn, mmali elu nke mmiri ya ga-ekpuchi ya.
The sea is come vp vpon Babel: he is couered with the multitude of the waues thereof.
43 Obodo ya niile ga-atọgbọrọ nʼefu, ọ ga-abụ ebe kpọrọ nkụ, na ala ọzara, ọ ga-aghọ ala onye ọbụla na-agaghị ebi nʼime ya, nke mmadụ ọbụla na-agaghị esi nʼetiti ya gafee.
Her cities are desolate: the land is dry and a wildernes, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth the sonne of man passe thereby.
44 Aga m ata Bel dị na Babilọn ahụhụ, mee ya ka ọ gbọpụta ihe ndị ahụ o loro. Mba dị iche iche agakwaghị agakwurukwa ya ọzọ. Mgbidi Babilọn ga-adakwa.
I wil also visite Bel in Babel, and I wil bring out of his mouth, that which he hath swallowed vp, and the nations shall runne no more vnto him, and the wall of Babel shall fall.
45 “Sinụ nʼime ya pụta, unu ndị m! Gbapụnụ ọsọ nʼihi ndụ unu. Gbapụnụ ọsọ site nʼiwe dị ọkụ nke Onyenwe anyị.
My people, go out of the middes of her, and deliuer yee euery man his soule from the fierce wrath of the Lord,
46 Unu adala mba, unu atụkwala ụjọ, mgbe unu nụrụ akụkọ dị iche iche nʼala ahụ. Nʼihi na otu ụdị akụkọ ka a ga-anụ nʼafọ a, akụkọ ọzọ dị iche ka a ga-anụkwa nʼafọ nke ọzọ. A ga-anụ akụkọ iwusi ọbara nʼala ahụ, nụkwa akụkọ onye ọchịchị nke na-ebuso onye ọchịchị ọzọ agha.
Least your heart euen faynt, and ye feare the rumour, that shalbe heard in the land: the rumour shall come this yeere, and after that in the other yeere shall come a rumour, and crueltie in the land, and ruler against ruler.
47 Nʼihi na oge ahụ aghaghị ịbịa mgbe m ga-ata arụsị niile dị na Babilọn ahụhụ. A ga-eme ka ihere mee ala ahụ niile. Ndị ya niile e gburu egbu ga-ada, tọgbọrọkwa nʼime ya,
Therefore beholde, the dayes come, that I will visite the images of Babel, and the whole land shalbe confounded, and all her slayne shall fall in the middes of her.
48 mgbe ahụ, eluigwe na ụwa, na ihe niile dị nʼime ha ga-eti mkpu ọṅụ nʼihi ihe dakwasịrị Babilọn. Ndị ga-ebuso ya agha ga-esitekwa nʼugwu bịa.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
Then the heauen and the earth, and all that is therein, shall reioyce for Babel: for the destroyers shall come vnto her from the North, saith the Lord.
49 “Babilọn ga-ada nʼihi ndị Izrel e gburu, dịka ndị niile e gburu nʼụwa si daa site nʼaka ndị Babilọn.
As Babel caused the slaine of Israel to fal, so by Babel the slaine of all the earth did fall.
50 Unu ndị siterela nʼihu mma agha gbapụ ọsọ, wezuganụ onwe unu, unu eguzokwala. Chetanụ Onyenwe anyị nʼala ahụ dị anya, na-echetakwa Jerusalem.”
Ye that haue escaped the sworde, goe away, stand not still: remember the Lord a farre of, and let Ierusalem come into your minde.
51 “Ihere emeela anyị, nʼihi na a kparịala anyị. Ihere ekpuchiekwala ihu anyị, nʼihi na ndị mba ọzọ abatala nʼebe nsọ nke ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị.”
Wee are confounded because wee haue heard reproch: shame hath couered our faces, for straungers are come into the Sanctuaries of the Lordes House.
52 “Ma ụbọchị ndị ahụ na-abịa,” ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, “mgbe m ga-ata arụsị ya niile ahụhụ. Ndị e merụrụ ahụ ga-asụkwa ude nʼala ahụ niile.
Wherefore behold, the dayes come, sayth the Lord, that I will visite her grauen images, and through all her land the wounded shall grone.
53 A sịkwarị na Babilọn a arịgoruo nʼeluigwe, ma a sịkwa na o wusie ebe dị elu nke ike ya mee ka o siwanyekwuo ike karịa, aga m ezite ndị mbibi ga-abịa megide ya.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.
Though Babel should mount vp to heauen, and though shee should defend her strength on hye, yet from mee shall her destroyers come, sayth the Lord.
54 “Ụzụ ịkwa akwa si na Babilọn na-apụta, ụzụ oke ịla nʼiyi sikwa nʼala ndị Babilọn na-apụta.
A sound of a cry commeth from Babel, and great destruction from the land of the Caldeans,
55 Onyenwe anyị ga-ala Babilọn nʼiyi. Ọ ga-emekwa ka oke ụzụ ha kwụsị. Mbigbọ nke ndị iro ga-adịkwa ka mbigbọ nke ọtụtụ mmiri, mkpọtụ nke olu ha ga-ada ụda dị ukwuu.
Because the Lord hath layde Babel waste and destroyed from her the great voyce, and her waues shall roare like great waters, and a sounde was made by their noyse:
56 Onye mbibi ga-ebuso Babilọn agha. A ga-adọta ndị bụ dike ya nʼagha, gbajisiekwa ụta ha niile. Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke onye na-akwụghachi; ọ ga-akwụghachikwa nʼuju ya.
Because the destroyer is come vpon her, euen vpon Babel, and her strong men are taken, their bowes are broken: for the Lord God that recompenceth, shall surely recompence.
57 Aga m eme ka ndịisi ọchịchị ya niile, na ndị maara ihe ha ṅụbiga mmanya oke; aga m emekwa ndị ha na-achị achị, na ndịisi ha, na ndị ha bụ dike nʼagha otu ihe ahụ. Ha ga-arahụ ụra ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. Ha agaghị esitekwa nʼụra ahụ bilie ọzọ.” Ọ bụ ihe Eze ahụ kwubiri, bụ onye ahụ aha ya bụ Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile.
And I will make drunke her princes, and her wise men, her dukes, and her nobles, and her strong men: and they shall sleepe a perpetuall sleepe, and not wake, sayth the King, whose Name is the Lord of hostes.
58 Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwuru, “A ga-akwada mgbidi Babilọn nke sara mbara, mee ka ọ daruo ala, a ga-eji ọkụ sunye nʼọnụ ụzọ ama ya niile dị elu. Ndị dị iche iche na-adọgbu onwe ha nʼọrụ nʼefu. Ndọgbu nʼọrụ nke mba niile dị iche iche ga-abụ nkụ a na-akwanye nʼọkụ.”
Thus saith the Lord of hostes, The thicke wall of Babel shalbe broken, and her hie gates shall be burnt with fire, and the people shall labour in vaine, and the folke in ye fire, for they shalbe weary.
59 Ndị a bụ ozi Jeremaya, bụ onye amụma ziri onyeisi ozi aha ya bụ Seraya nwa Neraya, nwa Mahseia, mgbe o so Zedekaya eze Juda gaa Babilọn. E ziri ya ozi a nʼafọ nke anọ nke ọchịchị Zedekaya.
The worde which Ieremiah the Prophet commanded Sheraiah the sonne of Neriiah, the sonne of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the King of Iudah into Babel, in the fourth yeere of his reigne: and this Sheraiah was a peaceable prince.
60 Jeremaya depụtara nʼakwụkwọ ihe banyere ihe ọjọọ ndị ahụ niile ga-abịakwasị Babilọn, ya bụ ihe niile e dere banyere Babilọn.
So Ieremiah wrote in a booke all the euill that should come vpon Babel: euen al these things, that are written against Babel.
61 Ọ sịrị Seraya, “Mgbe i ruru Babilọn, lezie anya hụ na ị gụpụtara okwu ndị a niile ebe ndị mmadụ ga-anụ ya.
And Ieremiah sayd to Sheraiah, Whe thou commest vnto Babel, and shalt see, and shalt reade all these wordes,
62 Emesịa, ị ga-ekwukwa sị, ‘Onyenwe anyị, gị onwe gị ekwuola na i ga-ebibi ebe a, ma mmadụ maọbụ anụmanụ agaghị ebikwa nʼime ya. I kwuokwala na ọ ga-aghọ mkpọmkpọ ebe ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.’
Then shalt thou say, O Lord, thou hast spoken against this place, to destroy it, that none should remaine in it, neither man nor beast, but that it should be desolate for euer.
63 Mgbe ị gụsịrị ihe dị nʼakwụkwọ a, kegide ya nkume, tụnye ya nʼetiti iyi ukwu Yufretis.
And when thou hast made an ende of reading this booke, thou shalt binde a stone to it, and cast it in the middes of Euphrates,
64 Ị ga-asịkwa, ‘Otu a ka Babilọn ga-esi mikpuo. Ọ gaghị ebilikwa ọzọ, nʼihi ihe ọjọọ ahụ m ga-eme ka ọ bịakwasị ya. Ndị ya ga-adakwa.’” Ebe a ka okwu Jeremaya niile gwụrụ.
And shalt say, Thus shall Babel be drowned, and shall not rise from the euil, that I will bring vpon her: and they shall be weary. Thus farre are the wordes of Ieremiah.
