< Jeremaya 49 >

1 Nke a dịrị ndị Amọn: Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “Ọ bụ na Izrel enweghị ụmụ ndị ikom? Izrel o nweghị onye nnweta ihe o nwere? Gịnị mere Molek ji nweta obodo Gad? Gịnị mere ndị ya ji bichie obodo ya niile?
Concerning the sons of Ammon. Thus says Jehovah: Has Israel no sons? Has he no heir? Why then does Malcam possess Gad, and his people dwell in the cities thereof?
2 Ma ụbọchị ahụ na-abịa,” ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, “mgbe m ga-eme ka a nụ ụda iti mkpu agha, nke a ga-eti megide Raba, obodo ndị Amọn. A ga-eme ya ka ọ ghọọ mkputamkpu ebe. Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru.
Therefore, behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard against Rabbah of the sons of Ammon, and it shall become a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire. Then Israel shall possess those who possessed him, says Jehovah.
Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai is laid waste. Cry, ye daughters of Rabbah. Gird you with sackcloth. Lament, and run to and fro among the fences. For Malcam shall go into captivity, his priests and his rulers together.
4 Gịnị mere unu ji anya isi nʼihi ndagwurugwu nke na-amị mkpụrụ hiri nne, gị ada nwanyị na-ekwesighị ntụkwasị obi, onye ntụkwasị obi ya dị nʼakụnụba ya, gị onye na-asị, ‘Onye ga-ebuso m agha?’
Why do thou glory in the valleys, thy flowing valley? O backsliding daughter, who trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come to me?
5 Aga m esite nʼaka ndị niile gbara gị gburugburu mee ka oke egwu bịakwasị gị,” otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwupụtara ya, “A ga-achụpụ onye ọbụla nʼime unu. Ọ dịkwaghị onye ga-achịkọta ndị ahụ niile gbapụrụ agbapụ.
Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, says the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, from all who are round about thee. And ye shall be driven out every man straight forth, and there shall be none to gather together the fugitives.
Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
But afterward I will bring back the captivity of the sons of Ammon, says Jehovah.
7 Nke dịrị Edọm: Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwuru, “Ọ pụtara na onye amamihe adịghịkwa na Teman? Okwu ndụmọdụ ọ gwụla nʼọnụ ndị nwere nghọta? Amamihe ha o reela ure?
Of Edom. Thus says Jehovah of hosts: Is wisdom no more in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom vanished?
8 Chigharịanụ gbalaga, unu ndị bi na Dedan. Gaa zoonụ onwe unu nʼọgba nkume miri emi, nʼihi na aga m eme ka ihe ọjọọ bịakwasị Ịsọ, nʼoge ahụ m ga-ata ya ahụhụ.
Flee ye, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Dedan. For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I shall visit him.
9 Ọ bụrụ na ndị na-aghọrọ mkpụrụ vaịnị abịakwute gị, ọ bụ na ha agaghị ahapụrụ gị mkpụrụ ole na ole? Ọ bụrụkwa na ndị ohi abịa nʼabalị, ọ bụghị naanị ihe ha chọrọ ka ha ga-akwakọrọ?
If grape-gatherers came to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? If thieves by night, would they not destroy till they had enough?
But I have made Esau bare. I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself. His seed is destroyed, and his brothers, and his neighbors, and he is not.
Leave thy fatherless sons; I will preserve them alive. And let thy widows trust in me.
12 Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “Ọ bụrụ na e mere ka ndị ahụ na-ekwesighị ịṅụ ihe dị nʼiko ahụ ṅụọ ya, a ga-esi aṅaa ghara ịta gị ahụhụ? A ghaghị ịta gị ahụhụ; ị ghakwaghị ịṅụ site nʼiko ahụ.”
For thus says Jehovah: Behold, those to whom it did not pertain to drink of the cup shall assuredly drink. And are thou he who shall go altogether unpunished? Thou shall not go unpunished, but thou shall surely drink.
For I have sworn by myself, says Jehovah, that Bozrah shall become an astonishment, a reproach, a waste, and a curse, and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.
I have heard news from Jehovah. And an ambassador is sent among the nations, saying, Gather yourselves together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.
15 Ugbu a, aga m eme ka ị dị nta nʼetiti mba dị iche iche, ihe nlelị na-ebe mmadụ nọ.
For, behold, I have made thee small among the nations, and despised among men.
16 Ịdị egwu gị nke na-eyinye ndị mmadụ egwu, na nganga nke obi gị eduhiela gị, gị onye na-ebi na mgbawa niile nke nkume dị elu, gị onye ji ebe niile dị elu nke ugwu nʼaka ya. A sịkwarị na i wuo akwụ gị nʼebe dị elu, dịka ebe ugo ga-ewu akwụ ya, aga m esite nʼebe ahụ kpụdata gị nʼala, otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.
As for thy formidableness, the pride of thy heart has deceived thee, O thou who dwells in the clefts of the rock, who holds the height of the hill. Though thou should make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from there, says Jehovah.
And Edom shall become an astonishment. Everyone who passes by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues of it.
Otu a kwa, ọ dịghị onye ọbụla ga-ebi nʼebe ahụ; nwa mmadụ ọbụla agakwaghị ebi nʼime ya,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru.
As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities thereof, says Jehovah, no man shall dwell there, nor shall any son of man sojourn in it.
19 “Aga m esi nʼala ya chụpụ Edọm nʼotu ntabi anya, dịka mgbe ọdụm na-esi nʼoke ọhịa Jọdan na-arịgopụta nʼebe ịta nri nke ụmụ anụmanụ jupụtara nʼahịhịa ndụ. Ma onye bụ onye ahụ a họpụtara, onye m ga-enyefe ọrụ a nʼaka ya? Onye dịka m? Onye kwa pụrụ ịpụta tụọ m aka nʼihu? Onye bụkwa onye ọzụzụ atụrụ ahụ nke pụrụ ido onwe ya megide m?”
Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation. For I will suddenly make them run away from it. And he who is chosen, him I will appoint over it. For who is like me, and who will appoint a time for me, and who is the shepherd who will stand before me?
A ga-adọkpụrụ ndị dị nta nʼetiti igwe ewu na atụrụ ahụ, ebe ịta nri ha ga-anọ nʼọnọdụ mgbagwoju anya nʼihi nke a.
Therefore hear ye the counsel of Jehovah that he has taken against Edom, and his purposes, that he has purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely they shall drag them away, even the little ones of the flock. Surely he shall make their habitation desolate over them.
21 Ụwa ga-ama jijiji mgbe ha nụrụ mkpọtụ ọdịda ha; iti mkpu akwa ha ga-adakwa ụda ruo nʼOsimiri Uhie.
The earth trembles at the noise of their fall. There is a cry; the noise of it is heard in the Red Sea.
22 Lee, otu ugo ga-efeli elu, fedatakwa. Ọ ga-agbasapụ nku ya kpuchie ala Bozra niile. Nʼụbọchị ahụ, obi ndị bu dike nʼagha nʼEdọm ga-adị ka obi nwanyị ime na-eme.
Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread out his wings against Bozrah. And the heart of the mighty men of Edom at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
23 Nke dịrị Damaskọs: “Ụjọ ejula Hamat na Apad obi, nʼihi na ha anụla akụkọ ọjọọ. Ha adaala mba, nọọkwa nʼoke echiche dịka osimiri nke ebili na-amagharị nʼelu ya.
Of Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad, for they have heard evil news. They are melted away. There is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
24 Damaskọs aghọọla onye ike gwụrụ. Ọ tụgharịala ịgbapụ ọsọ, ma ọma jijiji ejidela ya. Oke obi ụfụ na ihe mgbu ejidesiela ya aka ike, dịka obi ụfụ na ihe mgbu nke na-ejide nwanyị ime na-eme.
Damascus has grown feeble. She turns herself to flee, and trembling has seized on her. Anguish and sorrows have taken hold of her, as of a woman in travail.
25 Gịnị mere na-agbahapụbeghị obodo ahụ a maara aha ya, bụ obodo ahụ nke ihe ya na-atọ obi m ụtọ?
How is the city of praise not forsaken, the city of my joy?
26 Nʼezie, ụmụ okorobịa nọ nʼime ya ga-ada nʼokporoụzọ niile, a ga-emekwa ka ndị agha ya niile dere duu nʼụbọchị ahụ.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwubiri.
Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be brought to silence in that day, says Jehovah of hosts.
27 “Aga m esunye mgbidi Damaskọs ọkụ. Ọkụ ahụ ga-eripịakwa ebe e wusiri ike nke Ben-Hadad.”
And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
28 Banyere Keda na alaeze Hazọ, nke Nebukadneza eze Babilọn busoro agha: Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “Bilienụ gaa buso Keda agha. Bibiekwanụ ndị ahụ niile bi nʼakụkụ ọwụwa anyanwụ.
Of Kedar, and of the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote. Thus says Jehovah: Arise ye. Go up to Kedar, and destroy the sons of the east.
They shall take their tents and their flocks. They shall carry away for themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels. And they shall cry to them, Terror on every side!
30 “Gbalaganụ ọsịịsọ. Jeenụ nọdụ nʼime ọgba nkume niile miri emi, unu ndị niile bi na Hazọ,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara. Nebukadneza eze Babilọn atụọla atụmatụ megide unu, o chepụtakwala ụzọ ọ ga-esi megide unu.
Flee ye. Wander far off. Dwell in the depths, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, says Jehovah. For Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon has taken counsel against you, and has conceived a purpose against you.
31 “Bilienụ, gaa buso mba ahụ agha, bụ mba ahụ na-ebi na ntụkwasị obi,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, “mba nke na-enweghị ibo ọnụ ụzọ, maọbụ mkpọrọ e ji akpọchi ya, mba ahụ nke ndị ya na-ebiri naanị onwe ha.
Arise, get you up to a nation that is at ease, that dwells without worry, says Jehovah, that has neither gates nor bars, that dwells alone.
32 Ịnyịnya kamel ha ga-abụ ihe a ga-akwata nʼagha, ọtụtụ igwe ehi ha ga-abụkwa ihe a ga-alụta nʼagha.
And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil. And I will scatter to all winds those who have the corners of their hair cut off. And I will bring their calamity from every side of them, says Jehovah.
33 “Mgbe ahụ, Hazọ ga-aghọ ebe obibi nke nkịta ọhịa. Ọ ga-aghọ ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. O nweghị onye ọbụla ga-ebi nʼebe ahụ, nwa mmadụ ọbụla agakwaghị ebi nʼime ya.”
And Hazor shall be a dwelling-place of jackals, a desolation forever. No man shall dwell there, nor shall any son of man sojourn therein.
34 Nke a bụ okwu Onyenwe anyị ndị ruru Jeremaya onye amụma ntị banyere Elam, mgbe Zedekaya eze Juda bidoro ọchịchị ya.
The word of Jehovah that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,
35 Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwuru, “Lee, aga m agbaji ụta nke Elam, bụ ụta ahụ ha ji anya isi na ọ bụ ebe ike ha dị.
Thus says Jehovah of hosts: Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.
36 Aga m esite nʼakụkụ anọ nke mbara eluigwe zite oke ifufe anọ, nke ga-abịa megide Elam. Aga m efesa ha nye oke ifufe anọ ndị a, ndị ga-ebufu ha buga ha na mba niile dị iche iche, ọ dịghị obodo a na-agaghị ahụ ndị Ilam a dọtara nʼagha.
And upon Elam I will bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds. And there shall be no nation where the outcasts of Elam shall not come.
And I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before those who seek their life. And I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, says Jehovah. And I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them.
And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from there king and rulers, says Jehovah.
39 “Ma nʼikpeazụ, nʼụbọchị ndị ahụ na-abịa, aga m eweghachite akụnụba niile nke Elam.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.
But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring back the captivity of Elam, says Jehovah.
