1 Nke a dịrị Moab: Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, bụ Chineke Izrel kwuru, “Ahụhụ dịrị Nebo! Nʼihi na a ga-emebi ya. A ga-emekwa ka ihere mee Kiriatem, e, a ga-adọta ya nʼagha. A ga-etipịa Misgab, mee ka ihere mee ya.
Against Moab. Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Woe unto Nebo! for it is wasted; made ashamed, captured is Kiryathayim; made ashamed is Misgab and dismayed.
Ha ga-asị, ‘Bịanụ ka anyị bibie mba a, ka ọ ghara ịdịkwa.’ Ọ bụladị gị bụ Madmen, ka a ga-eme ka i dere duu. A ga-ejikwa mma agha chụọ gị ọsọ.
There is no more praise of Moab: in Cheshbon have they devised evil against it, “Come, and let us cut it off from being a nation.” Also thou Madmen shalt be ruined; after thee shall pursue the sword.
3 Gee ntị nụrụ akwa na-ada na Horonaim, ọ bụ mkpu akwa oke mbibi na ịla nʼiyi.
There is a voice of crying from Choronayim, destruction and a great breach.
4 A ga-etikpọ Moab, ụmụntakịrị ya ga-etikwa mkpu akwa.
Broken down is Moab: her little ones send forth a cry of distress.
5 Ha ga-eji oke ịkwa akwa na-agbago ụzọ Luhit; a ga-anụkwa mkpu akwa nke ndị e bibiri ihe ha nʼụzọ na-agbada Horonaim. A ga-anụ akwa mwute nʼihi mbibi nke bịakwasịrị ha.
For the ascent of Luchith is ascended with weeping and tears; for on the descent of Choronayim the enemies have heard the cry of destruction.
6 Gbalaganụ! Gbapụnụ ọsọ ndụ! Dịkwanụ ka osisi nta nke dị nʼọzara.
Flee, save your life, and be ye like the solitary tree in the wilderness.
For, because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be conquered: and Kemosh shall go forth into exile, [with] his priests and his princes together.
8 Onye mbibi ahụ ga-abịa megide obodo niile. O nwekwaghị obodo nke pụrụ ịgbanarị mbibi ya. A ga-ala ndagwurugwu niile nʼiyi, bibiekwa ebe dị elu nke dị larịị, nʼihi na ọ bụ okwu si nʼọnụ Onyenwe anyị pụta.
And the water shall come over every city, and no city shall escape: and lost shall be the valley, and destroyed shall be the plain, as the Lord hath said.
9 Wụkwasị ala Moab nnu, nʼihi na a ga-eme ka ọ ghọọ ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu. Obodo niile dị nʼime ya ga-aghọ mkpọmkpọ ebe, nke mmadụ ọbụla na-agaghị ebikwa nʼime ya.
Give wings unto Moab, that she may flee and get away; since her cities shall become desolate, without any to dwell therein.
10 “Ọbụbụ ọnụ dịrị onye ahụ ji aghụghọ na-arụ ọrụ Onyenwe anyị. Ahụhụ dịrị onye na-ewezuga mma agha nʼebe iwusi ọbara dị.
Cursed be he that doth the work of the Lord negligently, and cursed be he that withholdeth his sword from blood.
11 “Onye na-anọ juu ka Moab bụ site na mgbe ọ bụ nwantakịrị, ọ dịka mmanya doro edo, nke a na-adịghị esi nʼotu udu wụgharịa ya nʼime udu ọzọ, o nwebeghị oge ọbụla e ji mee ka ọ ga biri nʼala ọzọ. Ọ bụ ya mere ụtọ ya adịghị agbanwe agbanwe, isisi ya agbanwekwaghị.
Moab was ever at ease from his youth, and he was resting on his lees, and was not emptied from vessel to vessel, and had not gone into exile: therefore had his taste remained in him, and his scent was not changed.
Therefore, behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will send unto him tappers, that shall tap him, and they shall empty his vessels, and dash in pieces their bottles.
And Moab shall be ashamed of Kemosh, as the house of Israel were made ashamed because of Beth-el their confidence.
14 “Unu si aṅaa ekwu sị, ‘Ndị dị ike nʼagha ka anyị bụ; anyị bụkwa dimkpa nʼagha’?
How can ye say, We are mighty and men of bravery for the war?
15 A ga-ebibi ala Moab, busokwa obodo ya niile agha. Ụmụ okorobịa ya niile ndị ahọrọ ahọ ga-ada nʼogbugbu ahụ.” Otu a ka Eze ahụ kwubiri, onye aha ya bụ Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile.
Moab is wasted, and into his cities hath [the enemy] ascended, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, the Lord of hosts is his name.
16 “Ọdịda Moab dị nso; oke nhụju anya ya ga-abịakwa ọsịịsọ.
Near is the calamity of Moab to come, and his misfortune hasteneth fast.
Kwupụtanụ sị, ‘Esi aṅa gbajie mkpanaka eze a, nke dị ike, lee ka e si gbajiekwa mkpanaka a nke dị ebube!’
All ye that are about him bemoan him; and all ye that know his name: say, How is the strong staff broken, the beautiful stick!
18 “Sitenụ nʼebe nsọpụrụ unu dị elu rịdata, bịa nọdụnụ nʼala kpọrọ nkụ, unu ndị bi nʼobodo bụ Ada Dibọn. Nʼihi na onye ahụ bibiri Moab ga-abịa ibu agha megide unu, ọ ga-alakwa obodo unu niile e wusiri ike nʼiyi.
Come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst, thou inhabitress, daughter of Dibon; for the waster of Moab cometh up against thee, he destroyeth thy strong-holds.
19 Guzonụ nʼakụkụ ụzọ, hụrụ ihe na-eme, unu ndị bi nʼime Aroea. Jụọnụ nwoke unu hụrụ na-agba ọsọ, na nwanyị nke na-ewezuga onwe ya ajụjụ sị ha, ‘Gịnị mere?’
Stand by the way, and look out, O inhabitress of 'Aro'er: ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, say, What hath been done?
Moab hath been made ashamed; for it is broken down; wail, and cry aloud: tell ye it by the Arnon, that Moab is wasted,
And punishment is come over the land of the plain, over Cholon, and over Yahzah, and over Mepha'ath,
22 Dibọn, Nebo na Bet-Diblataim,
And over Dibon, and over Nebo, and over Beth-diblathayim,
23 Kiriatem, Bet-Gamul na Bet-Meon,
And over Kiryathayim, and over Beth-gamul, and over Beth-me'on,
24 Keriọt na Bozra, na obodo niile dị nʼala Moab, ndị dị nso, na ndị nke dị anya.
And over Keriyoth, and over Bozrah, and over all the cities of the land of Moab, that are far and that are near.
25 E bipụla mpi Moab, a gbajiekwala ogwe aka ya,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara.
Hewn away is the horn of Moab, and his arm is broken, saith the Lord.
26 “Meenụ ya ka ọ ṅụbiga mmanya oke, nʼihi na o nupuru isi megide Onyenwe anyị. Moab ga-atụrụ onwe ya nʼihe ọ gbọrọ. Ọ ga-aghọkwa ihe ọchị.
Make him drunken; for he magnified himself against the Lord: and Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall become [an object] of derision.
27 Izrel ọ bụghị ihe ọchị nye gị? Ọ bụ nʼetiti ndị na-ezu ohi ka e jidere ya, mere i ji na-efufere ya isi mgbe ọbụla ị na-ekwu okwu banyere ya?
For was not Israel a derision unto thee? or was he found among thieves? that whenever thou spokest of him, thou hadst to shake [thy head]?
28 Sitenụ nʼobodo unu niile gbapụ ọsọ; jeenụ biri nʼetiti nkume, unu ndị bi nʼala Moab. Dịrịnụ ka nduru nke na-ewu akwụ ya nʼakụkụ ọnụ ọgba nkume.
Leave the cities, and dwell on rocks, O ye that dwell in Moab; and be ye like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the mouth of rocky clefts.
We have heard the pride of Moab, who is so exceedingly proud, his haughtiness, and his pride, and his arrogance, and the overbearingness of his heart.
30 Amaara m ihe banyere mmụọ nke akpọghị onye ọzọ ihe ọbụla, nke dị nʼime ya, ma ọ gaghị abara ya uru ọbụla. Ịnya isi ya agaghị arụpụtakwa ihe ọbụla, otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.
I will know, saith the Lord, his wrath, and how causeless it is: his liars have done what is not right.
31 Nʼihi ya, aga m akwasị akwa ike nʼihi Moab, aga m eti mkpu akwa nʼihi ala Moab niile. Aga m asụ ude akwa nʼihi ndị Kia Hareset.
Therefore will I wail for Moab, and for all Moab will I cry out; for the men of Kir-cheres shall people moan.
32 Akwa nke karịrị akwa Jeza ka m ga-akwa nʼihi gị, gị osisi vaịnị dị na Sibma. Alaka gị gbasara ruo nʼakụkụ osimiri, e, ha gbasara ruo nʼosimiri Jeza. Ma onye mbibi abịakwasịla mkpụrụ gị niile chara acha, e, ọ bịakwasịla mkpụrụ vaịnị gị niile.
With the weeping of Ya'zer will I weep for thee, O vine of Sibmah; thy tendrils [once] passed over the sea, they reached as far as to the sea of Ya'zer: over thy summer-fruits and over thy vintage the waster is fallen.
And banished are joy and gladness from Carmel, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused the wine to cease from the wine-presses; none shall tread the press with the vintner's call; battle cry—nor vintner's call.
34 “A na-anụ ụda iti mkpu akwa ha site nʼobodo Heshbọn ruo Eleale, na Jehaz. A na-anụkwa ya site na Zoa ruo, ọ bụladị obodo ndị dị anya, dịka Horonaim, na Eglat Shelishiya. Nʼihi na mmiri niile nke Nimrim ataala.
From the loud cry of Cheshbon as far as El'aleh, even unto Yahaz, have they sent forth their voice, from Zo'ar even unto Choronayim, to the third 'Eglath; for the waters also of Nimrim shall become desolate.
35 Aga m eme ka ndị ahụ niile na-achụ aja nʼebe niile dị elu, na ndị ahụ niile na-achụrụ chi ha dị iche iche aja ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ, hapụ ịdịkwa nʼala Moab,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
Moreover will I cause to cease unto Moab, saith the Lord, him that offereth on the high-places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
36 “Ụda akwa nke na-ada nʼime obi m nʼihi Moab dịka ụda ọja. Ụda akwa nke dịkwa ka ụda ọja na-adakwa nʼime obi m nʼihi ndị Kia Hareset. Akụ niile ha kpakọtara alaala nʼiyi.
Therefore shall my heart groan for Moab like flutes, and my heart shall groan like flutes for the men of Kir-cheres; for the cause that the remnant of the riches he had gotten are lost.
37 A kpụchapụla agịrị isi niile, kpachakwa afụọnụ ha niile. E bipụkwala aka ha niile. Ọ bụkwa akwa mkpe ka e ji kpuchie ukwu niile.
For every head is bald, and every beard is shorn: upon all the hands are cuttings, and upon the loins is sackcloth.
38 Nʼelu ụlọ niile nke dị na Moab, nakwa nʼama egwuregwu niile, ọ dịghị ihe ọzọ karịa naanị iru ụjụ ka a na-ahụ.
Upon all the roofs of Moab, and in her streets, there is everywhere lamentation; for I have broken Moab like a vessel which hath no value, saith the Lord.
Oh, how is it broken down! wail! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! and Moab shall be a derision and a dismay to all those around him.
40 Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “Lee, ọ dị otu ugo na-efedata, nke gbasapụrụ nku ya kpuchie ala Moab niile.
For thus hath said the Lord, Behold, as the eagle shall he fly, and he shall spread out his wings over Moab.
41 A ga-adọta Keriọt nʼagha, meriekwa ebe ya niile e wusiri ike. Nʼụbọchị ahụ, obi ndị bụ dike nʼagha nʼala Moab ga-adị ka obi nwanyị ime na-eme.
Captured are the fortresses, and the strong-holds are conquered: and the heart of the mighty men of Moab shall be on that day as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
42 A ga-ebibi obodo Moab, mee ya ka ọ ghara ịdịkwa, nʼihi na ọ kagidere Onyenwe anyị anya.
And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people; because it hath magnified himself against the Lord.
43 Oke egwu na olulu, na igbudu nke onye na-esi ọnya nọ na-eche unu, unu ndị Moab,” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
Terror, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the Lord.
44 “Nʼoge ahụ, onye ọbụla gbapụrụ ọsọ site nʼihe oke egwu ga-adaba nʼolulu. Onye ọbụla ga-esikwa nʼolulu rịpụta ka igbudu ga-ejide. Nʼihi na aga m eme ka afọ ahụ a kara aka maka ịta Moab ahụhụ bịakwasị ya,” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.
He that fleeth from the terror shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be caught in the snare; for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the Lord.
45 “Nʼokpuru ndo Heshbọn ka ndị ahụ gbapụrụ ọsọ ndụ guzoro, na-enweghị onye inyeaka. Nʼihi na ọkụ esitela na Heshbọn rere na-aga; ire ọkụ dị ukwuu esitela nʼetiti Saịhọn na-apụ, na-erepịa egedege ihu ndị Moab, na okpokoro isi ndị ahụ ji oke ụzụ na-anya isi.
Under the shadow of Cheshbon stand still, deprived of strength, those that flee; but a fire cometh forth out of Cheshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sichon, and it devoureth the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the children of vaunting.
46 Ahụhụ dịrị gị, gị Moab! Ebibiela ndị Kemosh niile. A dọtakwala ụmụ gị ndị ikom na ụmụ gị ndị inyom nʼagha, buru ha gaa mba ọzọ.
Woe unto thee, O Moab! lost is the people of Kemosh; for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters into captivity.
47 “Ma emesịa, nʼụbọchị ndị ahụ na-abịa, aga m eme ka ndị Moab a dọtara nʼagha lọghachi.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya. Nke a bụ ọgwụgwụ ikpe ọmụma dịrị Moab.
Yet will I bring back again the captivity of Moab in the end of days, saith the Lord. Thus far is the punishment of Moab.
