< Jeremaya 24 >
1 Emesịa, Onyenwe anyị gosiri m nkata fiig abụọ, nke a dọbara nʼihu ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị.
The Lord showed me two baskets of figs, lying in front of the temple of the Lord, after Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon had carried captive Jechonias son of Joakim king of Juda, and the princes, and the artificers, and the prisoners, and the rich men out of Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
2 Otu nkata nwere mkpụrụ fiig mara mma, dịka ndị ahụ na-ebu ụzọ acha, nkata nke ọzọ nwere mkpụrụ fiig nke jọrọ njọ, ha jọrọ njọ na mmadụ enweghị ike ịracha ha.
The one basket was [full] of very good figs, as the early figs; and the other basket was [full] of very bad figs, which could not be eaten, for their badness.
3 Mgbe ahụ, Onyenwe anyị jụrụ m ajụjụ sị m, “Jeremaya, gịnị ka ị hụrụ?” Azara m sị ya, “Ahụrụ m mkpụrụ fiig. Ụfọdụ dị nnọọ ezi mma, ma ndị ọzọ jọrọ njọ. Ha adịghịkwa mma nracha.”
And the Lord said to me, What see you, Jeremias? and I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, which can’t be eaten, for their badness.
4 Mgbe ahụ, okwu Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
5 “Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị, bụ Chineke Izrel kwuru: Ndị ahụ m mere ka e si na Juda dọta nʼagha, ndị e buuru gaa nʼala Kaldịa dị m dịka mkpụrụ osisi fiig ndị a mara mma.
Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel; As these good figs, so will I acknowledge the Jews that have been carried away captive, whom I have sent forth out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for good.
6 Anya m ga-adịkwasị ha nʼahụ ịhụ na ihe gaara ha nke ọma. Aga m akpọghachitekwa ha nʼala a. Aga m ewulikwa ha elu ghara ikwada ha; Aga m akụ ha dịka osisi ghara ihopu ha.
And I will fix mine eyes upon them for good, and I will restore them into this land for good: and I will build them up, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be to me a people, and I will be to them a God: for they shall turn to me with all their heart.
8 “‘Ma dịka fiig ọjọọ ndị a, bụ ndị dị njọ nke ukwuu na-enweghị ike iri ha eri,’ Onyenwe anyị sịrị, ‘otu a ka m gaa emeso Zedekaya, eze Juda, na ndịisi ọchịchị ya, na ndị ahụ niile fọdụrụ ndụ na Jerusalem, ma ha bi nʼime ya, maọbụ biri nʼIjipt.
And as the bad figs, which can’t be eaten, for their badness; thus says the Lord, So will I deliver Sedekias king of Juda, and his nobles, and the remnant of Jerusalem, them that are left in this land, and the dwellers in Egypt.
9 Aga m eme ka ha ghọọrọ alaeze niile nke ụwa ihe ịsọ oyi, na ihe na-eweta obi ọjọọ. Ha ga-aghọ ihe ịta ụta, na ihe e ji akọ akụkọ, na ihe nkọcha na ihe ịbụ ọnụ nʼebe ọbụla m mere ka ha gaa biri.
And I will cause them to be dispersed into all the kingdoms of the earth, and they shall be for a reproach, and a proverb, and an [object of] hatred, and a curse, in every place whither I have driven them out.
10 Aga m ezigakwa mma agha na ụnwụ na ọrịa na-efe efe nʼetiti ha, tutu ruo mgbe e mere ka ha gwụsịa nʼelu ala ahụ nke m nyere ha, nyekwa ndị bụ nna nna ha.’”
And I will send against them famine, and pestilence, and the sword, until they are consumed from off the land which I gave them.
