< Aịzaya 59 >
1 Nʼezie, aka Onyenwe anyị adịghị mkpụmkpụ nke na o nweghị ike ịzọpụta, ntị ya adịghịkwa arọ nke na o nweghị ike ịnụ ihe.
Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; nor his ear dull, that it can’t hear.
2 Kama mmehie unu ekewapụla unu site nʼebe Chineke unu nọ; mmehie niile unu ezokwala ihu ya site nʼebe unu nọ, nke mere na ọ chọkwaghị ige ntị ọzọ.
But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
3 Nʼihi na aka unu jupụtara na ntụpọ ọbara, mkpịsịaka unu bụkwa nke mmehie merụrụ. Egbugbere ọnụ unu ekwuola okwu ụgha, ire unu na-atamukwa ihe ọjọọ.
For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity. Your lips have spoken lies. Your tongue mutters wickedness.
4 Ọ dịghị onye na-ekpe ikpe ziri ezi, ọ dịkwaghị onye na-eji ikwesi ntụkwasị obi kpee ikpe. Ha na-adabere nʼịrụ ụka nʼenweghị isi, ha na-ekwu okwu ụgha, ha na-atụrụ ime okwu na ụka mụọkwa ajọ ihe.
No one sues in righteousness, and no one pleads in truth. They trust in vanity and speak lies. They conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.
5 Ha na-avụ akwa ajụala, na-akpakwa akwụ udide. Onye ọbụla riri akwa ha ga-anwụ, mgbe ọbụla otu kụwara, ọ bụ agwọ ajụala na-esi nʼime ya apụta.
They hatch adders’ eggs and weave the spider’s web. He who eats of their eggs dies; and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.
6 Akwụ udide ha abaghị uru iji mee uwe, ha enweghị ike iji ihe ha mepụtara kpuchie onwe ha. Ọrụ ha niile bụ ajọ ọrụ, omume ihe ike jupụtara ha nʼaka.
Their webs won’t become garments. They won’t cover themselves with their works. Their works are works of iniquity, and acts of violence are in their hands.
7 Ụkwụ ha na-eme ngwangwa ịgbaba nʼime mmehie, ha na-emekwa ngwa ịkwafu ọbara ndị o nweghị ihe ọjọọ ha mere. Ha na-achụso echiche ajọ ihe, ọrụ mbibi na ntipịa bụ ejiri mara nke ụzọ ha niile.
Their feet run to evil, and they hurry to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity. Desolation and destruction are in their paths.
They don’t know the way of peace; and there is no justice in their ways. They have made crooked paths for themselves; whoever goes in them doesn’t know peace.
9 Ya mere ikpe ziri ezi dị anya nʼebe anyị nọ, ezi omume adịghị erute anyị nso. Anyị na-ele anya ìhè, ma lee, ọchịchịrị ka anyị na-ahụ. Anyị na-ele anya mmụke ìhè ma anyị na-ejegharị nʼime oke ọchịchịrị.
Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness doesn’t overtake us. We look for light, but see darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.
10 Anyị na-asọgharị ìsì na mgbidi dịka ndị na-enweghị anya, na-asọgharị isi dịka ndị na-enweghị anya; anyị na-ada na-akpọbi ukwu nʼetiti ehihie dịka a ga-asị na ọ bụ oge chi ojiji, nʼetiti ndị nwere ezi ndụ, anyị nọ ka ndị nwụrụ anwụ.
We grope for the wall like the blind. Yes, we grope as those who have no eyes. We stumble at noon as if it were twilight. Among those who are strong, we are like dead men.
11 Anyị na-agbọ ụja dịka bịa; anyị na-akwasị akwa ike dịka nduru nʼeru ụjụ. Anyị na-ele anya ikpe ziri ezi, ma ọ dịghị eru anyị aka; anyị na-ele anya nzọpụta, ma ọ dị anya nʼebe anyị nọ.
We all roar like bears and moan sadly like doves. We look for justice, but there is none, for salvation, but it is far off from us.
12 Nʼihi na mmehie anyị amụbaala nʼihu Onyenwe anyị; ọ na-agbakwa ama megide anyị. E, anyị makwaara ụdị ndị mmehie anyị bụ, nʼihi na mmehie anyị dịkwa nʼihu anyị mgbe niile.
For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:
13 Anyị maara nnupu isi anyị na ngọnarị anyị gọnarịrị Onyenwe anyị; anyị esitela nʼiso Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị wezuga onwe anyị, nọgide na-akpali mmegbu na nnupu isi. Okwu ọnụ anyị bụ okwu ụgha, nke anyị si nʼobi anyị tụpụta.
transgressing and denying the LORD, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
14 Ụlọ ikpe anyị niile adịghị achọ onye ezi omume; anyị amaghị ihe a na-akpọ ikpe ziri ezi. Eziokwu asọọla ngọngọ nʼama niile, ihe ziri ezi apụghị ịbata.
Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has fallen in the street, and uprightness can’t enter.
Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. The LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice.
He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness sustained him.
He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head. He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
According to their deeds, he will repay as appropriate: wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies. He will repay the islands their due.
19 Site nʼọdịda anyanwụ, ndị mmadụ ga-asọpụrụ aha Onyenwe anyị, sitekwa nʼọwụwa anyanwụ, ha ga-atụ egwu ebube ya. Nʼihi na ọ ga-abịa dịka idee mmiri nke nkume, Onyenwe anyị na-agba na-aga.
So they will fear the LORD’s name from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the LORD’s breath drives.
20 “Onye mgbapụta ga-abịa na Zayọn; ọ ga-abịakwute ụmụ Jekọb ndị na-esite na mmehie ha chegharịa.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
“A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from disobedience in Jacob,” says the LORD.
21 “Ma mụ onwe m, nke a bụ ọgbụgba ndụ m nke dị nʼetiti mụ na ha,” ka Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu. “Mmụọ m, nke dị nʼahụ gị, na okwu m niile nke m tinyere nʼọnụ gị, agaghị apụ nʼegbugbere ọnụ gị, maọbụ nʼegbugbere ọnụ ụmụ gị, maọbụ nʼegbugbere ọnụ agbụrụ gị. Ha ga-adịgide site ugbu a ruo mgbe niile ebighị ebi,” ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru.
“As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your offspring, nor out of the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now on and forever.”
