1 Onye kweere ozi anyị, ọ bụkwa nʼahụ onye ka e kpugheere ogwe aka Onyenwe anyị?
Who would have believed our report? and the arm of the Lord—over whom hath it been revealed?
2 Nʼihi na o tolitere nʼihu Onyenwe anyị dịka ome, dịka mgbọrọgwụ nke puputara nʼala kpọrọ nkụ. O nweghị ụdịdị ọma maọbụ ịma mma nke ga-eme ka anyị lee ya anya. O nweghị ihe ọbụla dị nʼụdịdị ya nke ga-eme ka ihe banyere ya masị anyị, maọbụ mee ka anyị chọsie ya ike.
Yea, he grew up like a small shoot before him, and as a root out of a dry land: he had no form nor comeliness, so that we should look at him; and no countenance, so that we should desire him.
3 Ndị mmadụ ledara ya anya, jụkwa ya. Ọ bụ onye nwere ọtụtụ ihe mgbu, bụrụkwa onye hụrụ ọtụtụ ahụhụ. Ma anyị gbakụtara ya azụ, jụ ilenye anya nʼebe ọ nọ. E, anyị ledara ya anya, jụ ịgụ ya dịka ọ bụ ihe ọbụla.
He was despised and shunned by men; a man of pains, and acquainted with disease; and as one who hid his face from us was he despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Nʼezie, ihe mgbu niile anyị ka o buuru, burukwa ahụhụ nke ọrịa anyị niile, ma anyị gụrụ ya ka onye Chineke tara ahụhụ, onye o tiri ihe otiti, na onye o mekpara ahụ.
But only our diseases did he bear himself, and our pains he carried: while we indeed esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 Ma e tipụrụ ya ọnya nʼihi mmehie anyị: ọ bụkwa nʼihi ajọ omume anyị ka e ji merụchaa ya ahụ. E mere ka anyị nwee udo nʼihi ahụhụ ọ hụrụ; ọ bụkwa ubiri ụtarị dị ya nʼahụ mere anyị ji bụrụ ndị ahụ dị ike.
Yet he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement for our peace was upon him; and through his bruises was healing granted to us.
6 Anyị niile akpafuola dịka igwe atụrụ; onye ọbụla nʼime anyị etinyela isi ya nʼụzọ nke aka ya. Ma Onyenwe anyị ebokwasịla ya ajọ omume anyị niile.
We all like sheep went astray; every one to his own way did we turn; and the Lord let befall him the guilt of us all.
7 A kpagburu ya, mesie ya ihe ike, ma otu mkpụrụ okwu esighị ya nʼọnụ pụta. E duuru ya pụọ dịka atụrụ a na-aga igbu egbu, dịka atụrụ a na-akpachapụ ajị ya si anọ nwayọọ nʼihu ndị na-akpacha ya ajị, otu a ka o si nọdụ na-asagheghị ọnụ ya.
He was oppressed, and he was also taunted, yet he opened not his mouth; like the lamb which is led to the slaughter, and like an ewe before her shearers is dumb; and he opened not his mouth.
8 Site na mmegbu na ikpe ka e ji wepụ ya. Ma, onye nʼetiti ndị ọgbọ ya weliri olu kwuo okwu? Nʼihi na e bipụrụ ya site nʼala ndị dị ndụ; maka njehie ndị m ka e ji tie ya ihe.
Through oppression and through judicial punishment was he taken away; but his generation—who could tell, that he was cut away out of the land of life, [that] for the transgressions of my people the plague was laid on him?
9 E nyefere ya ka e lie ya dịka onye na-emebi iwu, ọ bụkwa nʼetiti ndị ọgaranya ka e liri ya, ọ bụ ezie na o nweghị ihe ọjọọ ọbụla o mere, ọ dịkwaghị okwu aghụghọ si nʼọnụ ya pụta.
And he let his grave be made with the wicked, and with the [godless] rich at his death; although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.
But the Lord was pleased to crush him through disease: when [now] his soul hath brought the trespass-offering, then shall he see [his] seed, live many days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11 Mgbe ọ hụsịrị ahụhụ, ọ ga-emesịa hụ ìhè nke ndụ, afọ ga-ejukwa ya, site nʼihe ọmụma ya, ka onye ezi omume ahụ, bụ ohu m ga-eme ka a gụọ ọtụtụ mmadụ dịka ndị ezi omume, ọ ga-ebukwa mmehie ha niile.
[Freed] from the trouble of his soul shall he see [the good] and be satisfied: through his knowledge shall my righteous servant bring the many to righteousness, while he will bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the many, and with the strong shall he divide the spoil; because he poured out his soul unto death, and with transgressors was he numbered: while he bore the sin of many, and for the transgressors he let [evil] befall him.
