< Aịzaya 48 >

1 “Geenụ ntị na nke a, unu agbụrụ Jekọb, unu ndị a na-akpọ nʼaha Izrel, ndị si nʼagbụrụ Juda pụta. Unu ndị na-eji aha Onyenwe anyị na-aṅụ iyi, ndị na-akpọku aha Chineke nke Izrel, ma ọ bụghị nʼeziokwu maọbụ nʼezi omume.
Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the spring of Judah, who swear by the name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, —not in truth, nor in righteousness.
For of the holy city they call themselves, and upon the God of Israel they stay themselves, —The Lord of hosts is his name.
3 Nʼoge gara aga ka m kwuru ihe na-aga ime nʼoge dị nʼihu. Mgbe m kwupụrụ ya, emekwara m ka ihe ahụ m kwuru mezuo.
The former things have I declared from the beginning; and out of my mouth went they forth, and I announced them: suddenly did I accomplish them, and they came to pass;
4 Nʼihi na amaara m na unu bụ ndị isiike, matakwa na akwara dị unu nʼolu bụ igwe a na-apụghị ịrọji arọji. Amakwaara m na egedege ihu unu bụ bronz.
Because I knew that thou art obstinate, that like an iron sinew is thy neck, and thy brow of copper;
5 Ọ bụ ya mere m ji buru ụzọ gwa unu nʼoge gara aga ihe m gaje ime, ka unu ghara ị sị, ‘Ọ bụ arụsị anyị mere ya. Ọ bụ arụsị anyị a pịrị apị na chi ọla m nyere iwu ka ha mee!’
And I declared it to thee from the beginning; before yet it came to pass did I let thee hear it: lest thou should say, My idol hath done these things, and my graven image, and my molten image, have ordained them.
6 Unu anụla ama m na-agba, hụkwa ka ha na-emezu, ma unu ajụla ikwere na ọ bụ eziokwu. “Site ugbu a gawa, aga m agwa unu ihe ọhụrụ nke m na-agwabeghị unu na mbụ.
Thou hast heard it; see it all now; and you—will you not declare it? I caused thee to hear new things, from this time, even hidden things which thou hadst not known.
7 Ọ bụ ugbu a ka e kere ya, ọ bụghị na mgbe ochie. Unu anụtụbeghị ihe banyere ya mbụ, ya mere, unu agaghị asị, ‘Ọ bụ ihe maara ihe banyere ya.’
Now are they created, and not from the beginning; and before the day [that I announced them] thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
8 E, ị nụbeghị, ị maghịkwa, site na mgbe ochie ntị gị egheghị oghe. Nʼihi na amaara m na ị bụ onye aghụghọ na-ekwesighị ntụkwasị obi, onye a na-akpọ onye nnupu isi site nʼafọ nne ya.
But neither hadst thou heard it; nor didst thou know; nor had in ancient times thy ear been opened; for I knew that thou wouldst deal very treacherously, and a transgressor wast thou called from thy birth.
9 Ma nʼihi aha m, ka m na-eme ka ọnụma m jụrụ nʼihi otuto m, a na m egbochi ya nʼebe ị nọ, ka a ghara ikpochapụ unu kpamkpam.
For the sake of my name will I defer my anger, and because of my praise will I restrain it toward thee, so that I may not cut thee off.
Behold, I have refined thee, though not into silver: I have approved thee in the crucible of affliction.
11 Nʼihi mụ onwe m, e, nʼihi mụ onwe m, ka m na-eme nke a.
For my own sake will I do it: for how would [my name] be dishonored? and my glory will I not give unto another.
12 “Geenụ m ntị, gị Jekọb, na gị Izrel onye m kpọrọ. Mụ onwe m bụ onye ahụ; Abụ m onye mbụ, bụrụkwa onye ikpeazụ.
Hearken unto me, O Jacob, and Israel, my called one; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
13 Ọ bụ aka m tọrọ ntọala ụwa. Ọ bụkwa aka nri m gbasara eluigwe. Mgbe m kpọrọ ha oku ha na-abịa guzo nʼihu m.
My hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned out the heavens: I call unto them, they stand forward together.
14 “Chịkọtaanụ onwe unu, unu niile, geenụ ntị. Onye nʼetiti arụsị ndị a gosiri ihe ndị a na-aga ime? Onye ahụ Onyenwe anyị họọrọ ka ya na ya dị na mma ga-emezu nzube ya megide Babilọn, aka ya ga-emegide ndị Kaldịa.
Assemble yourselves, all of you, and hear: Who among them hath told these things? He whom the Lord loveth, will do his pleasure on Babylon, and [display] his arm [on] the Chaldeans.
15 Mụ onwe m, ọ bụladị mụ onwe m ekwuola ya; e, akpọọla m ya. Aga m eme ka ọbịa nʼije ya, ọ ga-agakwa nke ọma.
I, even I, have spoken it, I have also called him: I have brought him, and he shall be prosperous on his way.
Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; never from the beginning have I spoken in secret; from the time that it occurred, was I there. And now the Lord Eternal hath sent me, and his Spirit.
17 Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị sịrị, Onye mgbapụta unu, bụ Onye nsọ Izrel, “Mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị, onye na-ezi unu ihe nʼihi ọdịmma unu, na-eduzikwa unu nʼụzọ unu kwesiri iso.
Thus hath said the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, I am the Lord thy God who teach thee for thy profit, who lead thee by the way thou shouldst go.
18 A sịkwarị na unu ṅara ntị nʼiwu m niile, udo unu gaara na-eru dịka osimiri, ọdịmma unu adịkwa ka mmali nke ebili oke osimiri.
Oh that thou hadst but listened to my commandments! then would have been as a river thy peace, and thy prosperity as the waves of the sea:
19 Mkpụrụ gị gaara amụba dịka aja, ụmụ unu gaara a dị ka mkpụrụ ọkụkụ a na-enweghị ike ịgụta ọnụ, a gaghị ehichapụkwa aha ha, maọbụ bibie nʼihu ha.”
And then would have been as the sand thy seed, and the offspring of thy body like the pebbles of the sea-shore; yet shall his name not be cut off nor destroyed from before me.
20 Sitenụ na Babilọn pụọ, gbanarịnụ ndị Kaldịa! Werenụ olu iti mkpu ọṅụ kwusaa inwere onwe unu a.
Go forth out of Babylon, flee away from the Chaldeans, with the voice of singing declare, announce this, carry it forth as far as the end of the earth; say, The Lord hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts; waters out of the rock he let drop down for them: and he cleaved the rock, and the waters gushed out.
22 Onyenwe anyị sịrị, “Ọ dịghị udo dịrị ndị na-emebi iwu.”
There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.
