1 O Onyenwe anyị, ị bụ Chineke m; aga m ebuli gị elu, nye aha gị otuto, nʼihi na site na ntụkwasị obi zuruoke, ị rụọla ọtụtụ ihe ịrịbama, nke i tụrụ atụmatụ ha siterị nʼoge gara aga.
O Lord, thou art my God, I will exalt thee, and give glory to thy name: for thou hast done wonderful things, thy designs of old faithful, amen.
2 Nʼihi na i meela ka obodo ghọọ mkpọmkpọ ebe; mee ka obodo e wusiri ike ghọọ ebe dakpọrọ adakpọ; meekwa ka ebe siri ike nke ndị mba ọzọ ghọọ ebe obodo na-adịghịzi, agaghị ewukwa ya ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
For thou hast reduced the city to a heap, the strong city to ruin, the house of strangers, to be no city, and to be no more built up for ever.
3 Nʼihi nke a, ndị niile dị ike ga-asọpụrụ gị. Obodo ndị ahụ na-emenye ndị mba ọzọ egwu ga-atụ gị egwu.
Therefore shall a strong people praise thee, the city of mighty nations shall fear thee.
4 Nʼihi na ị bụụrụ onye na-enweghị ike ebe mgbaba; ị bụkwaara ndị ogbenye ebe mgbaba nʼoge mkpa ha, ebe nchebe siri ike nʼoge oke mmiri ozuzo, na ndo nʼoge okpomọkụ. Nʼihi na nkuume nke ndị na-adịghị emere mmadụ ebere dị ka oke mmiri ozuzo nke na-amakwasị mgbidi,
Because thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress: a refuge from the whirlwind, a shadow from the heat. For the blast of the mighty is like a whirlwind beating against a wall.
Thou shalt bring down the tumult of strangers, as heat in thirst: and as with heat under a burning cloud, thou shalt make the branch of the mighty to wither away.
6 Nʼelu ugwu a, ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile ga-anọ kwadooro ụwa niile oke oriri. Ọ ga-abụ oke oriri nke ga-adịrị ndị niile. Oke oriri nke ezi anụ na mmanya dị mma ga-adị.
And the Lord of hosts shall make unto all people in this mountain, a feast of fat things, a feast of wine, of fat things full of marrow, of wine purified from the lees.
7 Nʼelu ugwu a, ka ọ ga-ewepụ ihe ndị ahụ niile na-eweta ihu mgbarụ, nke dị ka akwa e ji kpuchie mmadụ niile, nke kpuchikwara ihu ndị mba niile.
And he shall destroy in this mountain the face of the bond with which all people were tied, and the web that he began over all nations.
8 Ọ ga-elomi ọnwụ ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị ga-ehicha anya mmiri niile site nʼihu mmadụ niile, ọ ga-ewezuga ihe ịta ụta niile dakwasịrị ndị ya site nʼụwa niile. Onyenwe anyị ekwuola ya.
He shall cast death down headlong for ever: and the Lord God shall wipe away tears from every face, and the reproach of his people he shall take away from off the whole earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
9 Nʼụbọchị ahụ, ndị mmadụ ga-asị, “Nke a bụ Chineke anyị nʼezie, anyị tụkwasịrị ya obi, ọ zọpụtakwara anyị. Nke a bụ Onyenwe anyị ahụ, anyị tụkwasịrị ya obi, ka anyị nwee ọṅụ ma ṅụrịakwa na nzọpụta ya.”
And they shall say in that day: Lo, this is our God, we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord, we have patiently waited for him, we shall rejoice and be joyfull in his salvation.
10 Nʼihi na aka Onyenwe anyị ga-adịgide nʼelu ugwu a, ma a ga-azọtọ ndị Moab nʼọnọdụ ha, dịka esi azọda ahịhịa dị nʼokpuru ụkwụ mmadụ.
For the hand of the Lord shall rest in this mountain: and Moab shall be trodden down under him, as straw is broken in pieces with the wain.
And he shall stretch forth his hands under him, as he that swimmeth stretcheth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down his glory with the dashing of his hands.
12 Ọ ga-akwatu mgbidi gị niile dị elu nke e wusiri ike, mee ka ha daruo ala, ọ ga-eme ka ha daruo ala, ruo mgbe ha ghọrọ uzuzu.
And the bulwarks of thy high walls shall fall, and be brought low, and shall be pulled down to the ground, even to the dust.
