1 Ma Onyenwe anyị ga-emekwara Jekọb ebere; ọ ga-ahọpụtakwa ndị Izrel ọzọ, meekwa ka ha lọghachi bịa biri nʼala nke aka ha. Ọtụtụ ndị ọbịa dị iche iche ga-adịnyere ha, soro ezinaụlọ Jekọb bikọtaa ọnụ.
Because Jehovah loveth Jacob, And hath fixed again on Israel, And given them rest on their own land, And joined hath been the sojourner to them, And they have been admitted to the house of Jacob.
2 Mba dị iche iche ga-enyere ha aka ịlọghachi nʼala ha, nke Onyenwe anyị nyere ha. Mba ndị a ga-aghọkwa ndị dị nʼokpuru ụmụ Izrel, ghọọkwara ha ndị ohu nwoke na nwanyị. Ụmụ Izrel ga-adọtakwa nʼagha ndị ahụ dọtara ha nʼagha na mbụ, ma chịakwa ndị ahụ kpagburu ha nʼoge gara aga.
And peoples have taken them, And have brought them in unto their place, And the house of Israel have inherited them, On the land of Jehovah, For men-servants and for maid-servants, And they have been captors of their captors, And have ruled over their exactors.
3 Nʼụbọchị ahụ, Onyenwe anyị ga-eme ka ị pụọ site nʼihe mgbu na ihe mwute, sitekwa na ndọgbu onwe unu nʼọrụ nke ịbụ ohu unu wetaara onwe unu,
And it hath come to pass, In the day of Jehovah's giving rest to thee, From thy grief, and from thy trouble, And from the sharp bondage, That hath been served upon thee,
4 unu ga-achị eze Babilọn ọchị sị ya, Leenụ gị. Ahaa, lee ka i si daa gị onye na-emegbu ndị mmadụ. Lee ka ịkpa ike gị si gwụsịa!
That thou hast taken up this simile Concerning the king of Babylon, and said, How hath the exactor ceased,
5 Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị anyajiela mkpara ndị na-eme ajọ ihe, meekwa ka mkpara ndị na-achị achị,
Ceased hath the golden one. Broken hath Jehovah the staff of the wicked, The sceptre of rulers.
6 nke sitere nʼiwe tidasịa ndị mmadụ na-esepụghị aka nʼiti ha ihe, nke ji nrubiga oke nke iwe ya megbuo mba dị iche iche ya na oke mmekpa ahụ na-enweghị nkwusi.
He who is smiting peoples in wrath, A smiting without intermission, He who is ruling in anger nations, Pursuing without restraint!
7 Ụwa niile adaala jụ, ha enwekwaala izuike, ha na-etipụ olu ịbụ abụ.
At rest — quiet hath been all the earth, They have broken forth [into] singing.
8 Ọ bụladị osisi junipa na osisi sida niile nke Lebanọn na-aṅụrị ọṅụ megide gị na-asị, “Agbajiela ike gị; ugbu a ọ dịkwaghị onye ga-esogbu anyị ọzọ.”
Even firs have rejoiced over thee, Cedars of Lebanon — [saying]: Since thou hast lain down, The hewer cometh not up against us.
9 Ala mmụọ na-eme mkpọtụ, na-eche izute gị nʼọbịbịa gị; ọ na-akpọte mmụọ nke ndị nwụrụ anwụ ịbịa kelee gị, bụ ndị niile bụburịị ndị ndu nʼụwa, ọ na-eme ka ha si nʼocheeze ha niile bilie bụ ndị niile ahụ bụ eze na mba niile dị iche iche. (Sheol )
Sheol beneath hath been troubled at thee, To meet thy coming in, It is waking up for thee Rephaim, All chiefs ones of earth, It hath raised up from their thrones All kings of nations. (Sheol )
10 Ha niile ga-eji otu olu zaa, ha ga-asị gị, “Gị onwe gị adịghịkwa ike, dịka anyị na-adịghị ike; Ị ghọọla otu onye nʼime anyị.”
All of them answer and say unto thee, Even thou hast become weak like us! Unto us thou hast become like!
11 Nganga ịbụ eze gị niile, na oke ụzụ ụbọ akwara gị, ka a na-elikọta nʼaja. Ikpuru ga-aghọrọ anụ ahụ gị ebe ndina; ọ bụkwa ikpuru ga-aghọ ihe mkpuchi ahụ gị. (Sheol )
Brought down to Sheol hath been thine excellency, The noise of thy psaltery, Under thee spread out hath been the worm, Yea, covering thee is the worm. (Sheol )
12 Lee ka i si site nʼeluigwe daa, gị kpakpando ụtụtụ, nwa chi ọbụbọ. Ọ bụ ezie na ị dị ukwuu nʼebe mba niile nke ụwa nọ na mbụ, ma lee ka e si mee ka ị bụrụ onye a tụdara nʼala.
How hast thou fallen from the heavens, O shining one, son of the dawn! Thou hast been cut down to earth, O weakener of nations.
13 Nʼihi na i kwuru ya nʼobi gị sị, “Aga m arịgoro nʼeluigwe, doo ocheeze m nʼelu kpakpando niile Chineke kere; aga m anọdụkwa nʼugwu nzukọ, na nsọtụ ugwu nsọ ahụ dị nʼelu elu ugwu, tụọ iwu.
And thou saidst in thy heart: the heavens I go up, Above stars of God I raise my throne, And I sit in the mount of meeting in the sides of the north.
14 Aga m arịgo nʼebe kachasị elu nke eluigwe, mee onwe m ka m dịrị ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu.”
I go up above the heights of a thick cloud, I am like to the Most High.
15 Ma a ga-ewedata gị ala ruo nʼili, ruo na nsọtụ ala mmụọ. (Sheol )
Only — unto Sheol thou art brought down, Unto the sides of the pit. (Sheol )
16 Ndị niile hụrụ gị na-elegide gị anya, na-atule banyere ndụ gị, sị, “Ọ bụ nwoke a bụ onye ahụ mere ka ụwa maa jijiji, onye mekwara ka alaeze mee mkpọtụ.
Thy beholders look to thee, to thee they attend, Is this the man causing the earth to tremble, Shaking kingdoms?
17 Ọ bụ onye a bụ onye ahụ mebiri ụwa mee ya ka ọ dị ka ọzara? Ọ bụ ya tikpọrọ obodo ukwu ya niile, jụkwa ịhapụ ndị ọ dọtara nʼagha ka ha laa?”
He hath made the world as a wilderness, And his cities he hath broken down, Of his bound ones he opened not the house.
18 Ndị eze mba niile dị iche iche na-edina na nsọpụrụ nʼime ili ha.
All kings of nations — all of them, Have lain down in honour, each in his house,
19 Ma ozu gị ka a tụpụrụ dịka alaka osisi rụrụ arụ, nke gbajiri agbaji. Ọ bụkwa ozu ndị niile e gburu nʼagha, na ozu ndị e ji mma agha mapuo afọ, ndị na-arịdaru nʼolulu nkume, ka e ji kpuchie gị nʼili gị. E, ozu gị dị ka ozu nke ịnyịnya zọtọrọ ụkwụ.
And — thou hast been cast out of thy grave, As an abominable branch, raiment of the slain, Thrust through ones of the sword, Going down unto the sons of the pit, As a carcase trodden down.
20 A gaghị eli gị dịka e si lie ndị eze ndị ọzọ, nʼihi na i bibiela ala gị. I gbukwaala ndị gị. A gaghị akpọtụkwa aha ụmụ ụmụ ndị na-emebi iwu ọzọ.
Thou art not united with them in burial, For thy land thou hast destroyed, Thy people thou hast slain, Not named to the age is the seed of evil doers.
21 Dozienụ ebe a ga-anọ gbuo ụmụ ya ndị ikom, nʼihi mmehie nke ndị bụ nna ha. Ha agaghị ebili nweta ala ahụ, mee ka elu ụwa jupụta nʼobodo ha niile.
Prepare ye for his sons slaughter; Because of the iniquity of their fathers, They rise not, nor have possessed the land, Nor filled the face of the world [with] cities.
22 Nʼihi na mụ bụ Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwupụtara sị, “Aga m ebili megide ha; aga m esitekwa na Babilọn bipụ aha ndị fọdụrụ, na ụmụ ha na ụmụ ụmụ ha. Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwubiri ya.
And I have risen up against them, (The affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, ) And have cut off, in reference to Babylon, Name and remnant, and continuator and successor, The affirmation of Jehovah.
23 Aga m eme ka Babilọn ghọọ ụlọ obibi nye ikwighịkwighị, na ebe mmiri ga na-adọkọ. M ga-eji azịza ịla nʼiyi zachapụ ha.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwubiri ya.
And have made it for a possession of a bittern, And ponds of waters, And daubed it with the mire of destruction, The affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts!
24 Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile aṅụọla iyi kwuo sị, “Nʼezie, dịka m si tụọ ya nʼobi m, otu a ka ọ ga-emekwa. Ọ ga-eguzosikwa ike dịka m si zube ya.
Sworn hath Jehovah of Hosts, saying, 'As I thought — so hath it not been? And as I counselled — it standeth;
25 M ga-etipịa ndị Asịrịa nʼala m, nʼelu ugwu m ka m ga-anọ zọpịa ha nʼokpuru ụkwụ. A ga-ebupụ ibu arọ ya site nʼahụ ndị m, a ga-ewezugakwa ibu arọ ya site nʼubu ha.”
To break Asshur in My land, And on My mountains I tread him down, And turned from off them hath his yoke, Yea, his burden from off their shoulder turneth aside.
26 Nke a bụ nzube ahụ nke ezubere maka ụwa niile; nke a bụkwa aka ahụ esetipụrụ nʼelu mba niile dị iche iche.
This [is] the counsel that is counselled for all the earth, And this [is] the hand that is stretched out for all the nations.
27 Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, bụ dike nʼagha, ezubela ime ya. Onye kwa pụrụ ịgbanwe nzube ya? O setịpụla aka ya, onye pụrụ ime ka o weghachi ya azụ?
For Jehovah of Hosts hath purposed, And who doth make void? And His hand that is stretched out, Who doth turn it back?'
28 Amụma a bịara nʼafọ ahụ eze Ehaz nwụrụ:
In the year of the death of king Ahaz was this burden:
29 Unu aṅụrịla ọṅụ, unu ndị Filistia, maka na mkpọrọ e ji eti unu ihe agbajiela; Ọ bụ ezie na ọ gbajiela, ma ihe ga-esite nʼọdụdụ agwọ ahụ pụta bụ ajụala, mkpụrụ ya ga-abụ agwọ ọjọọ, nke na-amagharị ebe niile.
Rejoice not thou, Philistia, all of thee, That broken hath been the rod of thy smiter, For from the root of a serpent cometh out a viper, And its fruit [is] a flying saraph.
30 Ndị bụ nnọọ ogbenye ga-achọta ihe oriri, ndị mkpa na-akpa ga-ebikwa nʼudo. Ma aga m eji agụụ na ụnwụ laa ndị fọdụrụ ndụ nʼetiti unu nʼiyi.
And delighted have the first-born of the poor, And the needy in confidence lie down, And I have put to death with famine thy root, And thy remnant it slayeth.
31 Kwasie akwa ike gị ọnụ ụzọ ama! Tie mkpu gị obodo! Tụọnụ oke egwu unu ndị Filistia. Nʼihi na lee, ndị agha a zụziri azụzi si nʼugwu na-abịa imegide gị. Ọ dịghị onye na-aga iche nʼetiti ahịrị ha.
Howl, O gate; cry, O city, Melted art thou, Philistia, all of thee, For from the north smoke hath come, And there is none alone in his set places.
32 Ọsịsa dị aṅaa ka anyị ga-enye ndị ozi si na mba ahụ? Gwa ha na Onyenwe anyị emeela ka Zayọn guzosie ike. Ọ bụkwa nʼime ya ka ndị ya e wedara nʼala ga-achọtara onwe ha ebe mgbaba.
And what doth one answer the messengers of a nation? 'That Jehovah hath founded Zion, And in it do the poor of His people trust!'
