< Hosiya 11 >
1 “Mgbe Izrel bụ nwantakịrị, ahụrụ m ya nʼanya, ọ bụkwa site nʼIjipt ka m kpọpụtara nwa m.
When Israel was, a child, then I loved him, —and, out of Egypt, called I my son.
2 Ma dịka m na-akpọ ha, otu a ka ha na-aga nʼebe dị anya site nʼebe m nọ. Ha chụrụ Baal aja, surekwa aja ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ nye arụsị dị iche iche.
They invited them, —at once, they departed from before me, they, to the Baals, sacrificed, and, to the images, offered incense.
3 Ọ bụ mụ onwe m kuziiri Ifrem otu e si aga ije, ejidere m ha nʼaka m abụọ, ma ha amaghị na ọ bụ mụ onwe m gwọrọ ya.
Yet, I, had taught Ephraim to walk, I used to take them upon mine arms, —But they acknowledged not that I had healed them.
4 Eji m ụdọ nke mmadụ bụ ebere, na ịhụnanya duo ya. Adịrị m ha dịka onye nʼebuli ibu arọ site nʼolu ha, ehulatakwara m ala, were aka m tinye ha nri nʼọnụ.
With human cords, used I to draw them, with the bands of love, so became I unto them like those who remove the yoke [that was] on their jaws, —and, holding out [food] to him, I let him eat.
5 “Ọ bụ na ha agaghị alaghachi azụ nʼIjipt, Asịrịa ọ gaghị abụ eze ha, nʼihi na ha ajụla ịlọghachikwute m?
He was not to turn back into the land of Egypt, Howbeit, the Assyrian—he, became his king, for they refused to turn.
6 Mma agha ga-efegharị nʼobodo ha niile, ọ ga-eripịa ndị nchụaja na-agba afa, ọ ga-eripịakwa nzube ọjọọ ha niile.
Therefore shall the sword, rage, in his cities, and make an end of his multitudes, and consume them, —because of their counsels.
7 Ndị m ekpebiela nʼobi ha ịhapụ m. Nʼagbanyeghị na ha na-akpọ m Chineke nke kachasị ihe niile elu, ma mụ onwe m agaghị ebuli ha elu nʼụzọ ọbụla.
But, my people, are bent towards turning from me, though upwards they call them, none of them can lift them.
8 “M ga-esi aṅaa rara gị nye, gị Ifrem? M ga-esi aṅaa rara gị nye, gị Izrel? M ga-esi aṅaa mee gị ka ịdị ka Adma? M ga-esi aṅaa meso gị dịka Zeboiim? Obi m na-akwasị akwa ike nʼime m; ọ na-agụsị m agụụ ike inyere unu aka.
How can I give thee up, Ephraim? abandon thee Israel? How can I make thee as Admah? set thee as Zeboim? Mine own heart, turneth against me, at once, are kindled my compassions.
9 Agaghị m emezu iwe ọkụ m maọbụ bibiekwa Ifrem ọzọ. Nʼihi na abụ m Chineke, abụghị m mmadụ. Abụ m Onye Nsọ na-ebi nʼetiti unu. Agaghị m emegidekwa obodo ha.
I cannot execute the glow of mine anger, I cannot turn to destroy Ephraim, —for, GOD, am, I, and not man, When thou drawest near, [I am] a Holy One, though I do not enter a city.
10 Nʼihi na ha ga-agbaso Onyenwe anyị. Ọ ga-agbọkwa ụja dịka ọdụm. Mgbe ọ gbọrọ ụja, ụmụ ya ga-eji ịma jijiji site nʼakụkụ ọdịda anyanwụ bịakwute ya.
After Yahweh, let them go, Like a lion, will he roar, —When, he, shall roar, then let sons, come trembling, out of the West.
Let them come trembling like a small bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria, —so will I cause them to dwell by their own houses, Declareth Yahweh.
12 Ifrem e jirila okwu ụgha gbaa m gburugburu, ezinaụlọ Izrel e jirila aghụghọ na-emeso m omume, ma Juda nọsịrị ike nʼekweghị nchịkọta nʼebe Chineke nọ, ọbụladị megide Onye Nsọ ahụ nke kwesiri ntụkwasị obi.
They have compassed me about—with denial, Ephraim, with deceit, the house of Israel, —but, Judah, hath, again and again, run riot with GOD, though, with the holy places, entrusted.
