< Ndị Hibru 5 >
1 A na-esite nʼetiti ndị mmadụ họrọ onyeisi nchụaja ọbụla, ka ọ nnọchite anya ndị mmadụ nʼihe banyere ife Chineke, ka ọ na-eche onyinye na-achụkwa aja maka mmehie dị iche iche.
For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
2 Ebe ọ bụ na ya onwe ya bụ onye na-adịghị ike, ọ pụrụ iji nwayọọ na-emeso ndị na-amaghị ihe na ndị na-ejehie ụzọ omume.
who can bear gently with the ignorant and erring, for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity;
3 Nʼihi nke a, ọ ghaghị ịchụ aja maka mmehie nke onwe ya na nke ndị mmadụ.
and by reason thereof is bound, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
4 O nweghị onye na-ewere ugwu a nʼonwe ya, kama ọ bụ Chineke na-akpọ dịka o si kpọọ Erọn.
And no man taketh the honour unto himself, but when he is called of God, even as was Aaron.
5 Nʼotu aka ahụ kwa, Kraịst enyeghị onwe ya ebube nke ịbụ onyeisi nchụaja, kama Chineke sịrị ya, “Ị bụ Ọkpara m. Taa abụrụla m Nna gị.”
So Christ also glorified not himself to be made a high priest, but he that spake unto him, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee:
6 Nʼebe ọzọ, o kwuru, “Dị ka usoro Melkizedek si dị, ị bụ onye nchụaja ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.” (aiōn )
as he saith also in another [place], Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn )
7 Mgbe ọ ka dị ndụ nʼanụ ahụ, o ji oke olu na anya mmiri kpee ekpere rịọkwa arịrịọ nye onye ahụ pụrụ ịzọpụta ya site nʼọnwụ. A nụkwara olu ya nʼihi ndụ nrube isi na mweda nʼala ya.
Who in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,
8 Ọ bụ ezie na ọ bụ Ọkpara ma ọ mụtara irube isi site nʼahụhụ ọ tara.
though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 Ma mgbe e mere ka o zuo oke, ọ ghọrọ isi nke nzọpụta ebighị ebi nye ndị niile na-erubere ya isi. (aiōnios )
and having been made perfect, he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation; (aiōnios )
10 Ebe Chineke mere ya onyeisi nchụaja nʼusoro Melkizedek.
named of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
11 Ọ dị ọtụtụ ihe ọzọ anyị nwere ikwu banyere ya, ma o siri ike ịkọwa ya nʼihi na unu adịghị amụta ihe ọsịịsọ.
Of whom we have many things to say, and hard of interpretation, seeing ye are become dull of hearing.
12 Nʼezie, ugbu a, unu kwesiri ịbụ ndị ozizi nye ndị ọzọ, ma unu ka nọ na-achọ onye ga-ezikwa unu ụkpụrụ mbụ nke okwu Chineke. Unu na-achọ mmiri ara kama nri siri ike.
For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.
13 Onye ọbụla nke na-aṅụ ara, ka bụ nwantakịrị, ọ matabeghị ozizi banyere ezi omume.
For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.
14 Nri dị ike dịrị ndị tozuru oke, ndị siterela nʼihe ha na-eme zụọ onwe ha ịchọpụta ihe dị iche nʼetiti ezi ihe na ajọ ihe.
But solid food is for fullgrown men, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
