< Ndị Hibru 2 >

1 Ya mere, anyị aghaghị ilezi anya nke ọma banyere ihe anyị nụrụla, ka anyị hapụ isi na ha wezuga onwe anyị.
FOR this reason we ought to attend more diligently to the things which have been heard, lest by any means we let them flow by us.
For if the discourse spoken by angels was confirmed, and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment as its due,
how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation, which, commencing at the beginning to be spoken by the Lord, was confirmed unto us by those who had heard him;
4 Chineke nʼonwe ya tụkwasịrị ịgba ama nke ya, site nʼịrụ ọrụ ebube na ọrụ ịrịbama, na ọrụ ịtụnanya dị iche iche, nakwa ikesa ọtụtụ onyinye nke Mmụọ Nsọ, dị ka ọchịchọ ya siri dị.
God superadding his testimony with them, by signs, and wonders, and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
5 Ọ dịghị mgbe Chineke nyere ndị mmụọ ozi ike ịchị elu ụwa a. Anyị na-ekwu banyere ụwa gaje ịbịa abịa.
For he hath not subjected the future world, of which we are speaking, to the angels.
6 Otu onye agbaala akaebe nʼebe ọzọ, “Gịnị ka mmadụ bụ i ji na-eche banyere ha? Gịnị ka nwa nke mmadụ bụ iji na-elekọta ya?
But one in a certain passage testifieth, saying, “What is man, that thou rememberest him, or a son of man, that thou regardest him?”
7 Nʼihi na i mere ka ha dị ala nwantakịrị nʼebe ndị mmụọ ozi nọ; i jikwa ebube na nsọpụrụ kpube ya nʼisi dịka okpueze,
“Thou hast made him for a little while lower than angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honour, and hast placed him over the works of thy hands:
8 dokwaa ihe niile nʼokpuru ụkwụ ya.” Mgbe o mere ka ihe niile dịrị nʼokpuru ya, o nwekwaghị ihe ọbụla ọ hapụrụ itinye nʼokpuru ya. Ma otu ọ dị, anyị ahụbeghị ka e doro ihe niile nʼokpuru ya.
thou hast subjected all things under his feet.” Now in subjecting all things to him, he left nothing unsubjected to him; but at present we see not yet all things subjected to him.
9 Ma anyị na-ahụ Jisọs bụ onye e mere ka ọ dị ala nwantakịrị oge karịa ndị mmụọ ozi, ma ugbu a ejirila ebube na nsọpụrụ kpukwasị ya nʼisi, nʼihi ahụhụ ọnwụ nke ọ hụrụ, ka o site nʼamara Chineke detụ ọnwụ ire nʼihi mmadụ niile.
But we see Jesus for a little while made lower than angels, by the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour, that, by the grace of God, he might taste of death for every one.
10 Ebe e sitere na ya kpọbata ọtụtụ ụmụ nʼebube, o ziri ezi ka Chineke, onye ihe niile dịrị na onye kere ihe niile, mee ka onyeisi nzọpụta ha bụrụ onye zuruoke site nʼahụhụ ọ hụrụ.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to perfect the Author of their salvation by sufferings.
For both he that sanctifies, and they who are sanctified, are all of one. For which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12 Ọ sịrị, “Aga m ekwupụta aha gị nye ụmụnna m, nʼetiti nzukọ ka m ga-anọ bụọrọ gị abụ otuto.”
saying, “I will declare thy name to my brethren, in the midst of the church I will sing hymns to thee.”
And again, “I will place my confidence in him.” And again, “Behold! Here am I, and the children which God hath given me.”
14 Ebe ọ bụ na ụmụ ndị ahụ ketara oke na anụ ahụ na ọbara, ya onwe ya sooro ha keta oke nʼụdịdị ahụ, ka o site nʼọnwụ ya laa onye ahụ nwere ike ọnwụ nʼiyi, onye ahụ bụ ekwensu.
Seeing therefore that the children have partaken of flesh and blood, he also himself, in exact resemblance, partook of the same, that by death he might destroy him who held the power of death, that is, the devil;
and deliver those, even as many as through their whole life were subjects of bondage to the fear of death.
16 Nʼihi na nʼezie, ọ bụghị ndị mmụọ ozi ka ọ na-enyere aka kama ọ bụ ụmụ ụmụ Ebraham.
For he verily took not on him the angelic nature, but assumed that of the seed of Abraham.
17 Nʼihi nke a, e mere ka o yie ụmụnna ya nʼihe niile, ka o nwe ike ghọọ onyeisi nchụaja kwesiri ntụkwasị obi ma na nke nwere obi ebere nʼijere Chineke ozi, ka o nweekwa ike chụọ aja ikpuchi mmehie mmadụ niile.
Wherefore he ought in all things to be made like to his brethren, in order to become a merciful and faithful high-priest in those things which relate to God, to make a propitiation for the sins of the people:
18 Ebe ọ bụ na ya onwe ya tara ahụhụ mgbe a na-anwa ya ọnwụnwa, o nwekwara ike inyere ndị a na-anwa ọnwụnwa aka.
for inasmuch as he hath himself suffered, having been tempted, he is able to succour those who are tempted.
