< Ndị Hibru 10 >
1 Iwu ahụ bụ naanị onyinyo na-egosi ihe ọma gaje ịbịa. Nʼihi ya, o zughị oke nʼonwe ya isite nʼaja ndị ahụ a na-achụ mgbe mgbe kwa afọ, mee ka ndị ahụ na-abịaru nso ife ofufe zuo oke.
For the law, having a shadow of the coming good things, not the image itself of the things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually yearly, perfect those who approach.
2 Ma ọ bụghị otu a, ọ bụ na a gabeghị akwụsị ịchụ aja ndị a? Ọ bụrụ na a sachapụla njọ ndị na-efe ofufe na mbụ, akọnuche ha agaghịkwa ama ha ikpe mmehie ha.
Since, would they not indeed have ceased being offered, on account of the worshippers once purged having no longer any conscience of sins?
3 Ma nke bụ eziokwu bụ na ihe aja ndị a na-eme bụ ichetara ha mmehie ha kwa afọ niile.
But in these [there is] a calling to mind of sins yearly.
4 Nʼihi na ọ bụ ihe na-apụghị ime eme na ọbara oke ehi na nke ụmụ ewu dị iche iche ga-asachapụ mmehie.
For blood of bulls and goats [is] incapable of taking away sins.
5 Ya mere mgbe Kraịst bịara nʼụwa, ọ sịrị, “Aja na onyinye abụghị ihe ị chọrọ kama ị kwadoro ahụ nye m.
Wherefore coming into the world he says, Sacrifice and offering thou willedst not; but thou hast prepared me a body.
6 Aja nsure ọkụ na aja a chụrụ maka mmehie, ha abụghị ihe dị ezi mma nye gị.
Thou tookest no pleasure in burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin.
7 Mgbe ahụ ka m sịrị, ‘Lee, abịala m Chineke m, ime ihe ị na-achọ. Nke a bụkwa ihe e dere banyere m nʼime akwụkwọ mpịakọta.’”
Then I said, Lo, I come (in [the] roll of the book it is written of me) to do, O God, thy will.
8 O kwuru na mbụ, “Aja dị iche iche, na onyinye, na aja nsure ọkụ na aja mmehie adịghị atọ gị ụtọ, ha adịghịkwa amasị gị” (a chụrụ aja ndị a dịka iwu si dị).
Above, saying Sacrifices and offerings and burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou willedst not, neither tookest pleasure in (which are offered according to the law);
9 O kwukwara ọzọ, “Lee abịala m ime uche gị.” Ọ kagburu aja nke mbụ ahụ ma were aja nke abụọ dochie nʼọnọdụ ya.
then he said, Lo, I come to do thy will. He takes away the first that he may establish the second;
10 Site nʼime uche Chineke, e mere ka anyị dị nsọ site nʼaja Jisọs Kraịst ji onwe ya chụọ naanị otu ugboro.
by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 Onye nchụaja ọbụla na-eguzo kwa ụbọchị na-efe ofufe, na-achụkwa otu aja ahụ ugboro ugboro, bụ aja nke na-enweghị ike ịsachapụ mmehie.
And every priest stands daily ministering, and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
12 Ma mgbe Kraịst chụchara naanị otu aja ahụ, otu ugboro nʼihi mmehie niile, ọ nọdụrụ ala nʼaka nri Chineke.
But he, having offered one sacrifice for sins, sat down in perpetuity at [the] right hand of God,
13 Ebe ahụ ka ọ nọ ugbu a na-eche ka ndị iro ya niile bụrụ ihe mgbakwasị ụkwụ ya.
waiting from henceforth until his enemies be set [for the] footstool of his feet.
14 Nʼihi na o sitela nʼotu aja mee ka ndị ahụ a na-eme ka ha dịrị nsọ zuo oke mgbe niile.
For by one offering he has perfected in perpetuity the sanctified.
15 Mmụọ nsọ na-agbakwara anyị ama banyere ihe ndị a mgbe o buru ụzọ kwuo:
And the Holy Spirit also bears us witness [of it]; for after what was said:
16 “Nke a bụ ọgbụgba ndụ ahụ mụ na ha ga-agba mgbe oge ndị ahụ gasịrị, ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru. Aga m etinye iwu m nʼobi ha. Aga m edekwasịkwa ha nʼuche ha.”
This [is] the covenant which I will establish towards them after those days, saith [the] Lord: Giving my laws into their hearts, I will write them also in their understandings;
17 O kwukwara sị, “Agaghị m echetakwa mmehie ha na mmebi iwu ha niile ọzọ.”
and their sins and their lawlessnesses I will never remember any more.
18 Ya mere, ebe ọ bụ na a gbagharala mmehie ndị a, ọ dịkwaghị mkpa ịchụ ajọ ọzọ maka mgbaghara mmehie.
But where there [is] remission of these, [there is] no longer a sacrifice for sin.
19 Nʼihi nke a, ụmụnna m, ebe anyị nwere nkwuwa okwu ịbanye nʼEbe Kachasị Nsọ site nʼọbara Jisọs,
Having therefore, brethren, boldness for entering into the [holy of] holies by the blood of Jesus,
20 bụ ụzọ ọhụrụ nke o meghere nye anyị, nke dị ọhụrụ ma dịkwa ndụ site nʼakwa mgbochi ahụ nke bụ ahụ ya,
the new and living way which he has dedicated for us through the veil, that is, his flesh,
21 ebe anyị nwekwara onye nchụaja dị ukwuu, nke na-elekọta ụlọ Chineke,
and [having] a great priest over the house of God,
22 ka anyị bịaruo nso site nʼobi dị ọcha, na ntụkwasị obi zuru ezu nke okwukwe, ka anyị bụrụ ndị a sachara obi ha site nʼakọnuche rụrụ arụ, ka anyị bụrụkwa ndị e ji mmiri dị ezigbo ọcha sachaa ahụ anyị.
let us approach with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, sprinkled as to our hearts from a wicked conscience, and washed as to our body with pure water.
23 Ya mere, ka anyị jidesie nkwupụta nke olileanya anyị ike, nʼihi na onye ahụ kwere nkwa kwesiri ntụkwasị obi.
Let us hold fast the confession of the hope unwavering, (for he [is] faithful who has promised; )
24 Ka anyị tụgharịa uche otu anyị ga-esi kpalie ibe anyị nʼịhụnanya na ezi ọrụ.
and let us consider one another for provoking to love and good works;
25 Ka anyị gharakwa ichefu nzukọ anyị dị ka ụfọdụ na-eme, kama ka anyị na-agbarịta onwe anyị ume, karịsịa, ugbu a ụbọchị ahụ na-abịa nso.
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the custom [is] with some; but encouraging [one another], and by so much the more as ye see the day drawing near.
26 Ọ bụrụ na anyị akpachapụ anya na-anọgide na mmehie mgbe anyị matachara eziokwu ahụ, o nwekwaghị aja ọzọ fọdụrụ a ga-achụ banyere mmehie niile.
For where we sin wilfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains any sacrifice for sins,
27 Kama naanị ikpe dị oke egwu, nke ga-adị ka ọkụ na-ere ike ike, nke ga-erechapụ ndị niile bụ ndị iro.
but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and heat of fire about to devour the adversaries.
28 Onye ọbụla dara iwu Mosis, na-anwụ na-enweghị ebere, site nʼakaebe mmadụ abụọ maọbụ atọ gbara megide ya.
Any one that has disregarded Moses' law dies without mercy on [the testimony of] two or three witnesses:
29 Ọ bụrụ na ọ dị otu a, olee ụdị ahụhụ unu chere na a ga-enye onye lelịrị Ọkpara Chineke, gịnị ka a ga-eme onye merụrụ ọbara nke ọgbụgba ndụ nke e ji doo ya nsọ, na onye kpasuru mmụọ nke amara ahụ iwe?
of how much worse punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and esteemed the blood of the covenant, whereby he has been sanctified, common, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
30 Nʼihi na anyị maa onye ahụ kwurunụ, “Ịbọ ọbọ dịrị m, aga m akwụghachi,” ọzọkwa, “Onyenwe anyị ga-ekpe ndị ya ikpe.”
For we know him that said, To me [belongs] vengeance; I will recompense, saith the Lord: and again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 Ọ bụ ihe dị oke egwu ịdaba nʼaka Chineke dị ndụ.
[It is] a fearful thing falling into [the] hands of [the] living God.
32 Ma chetakwanụ ụbọchị mbụ ndị ahụ, mgbe unu natachara ìhè, unu nọgidesikwara ike nʼagbanyeghị oke ahụhụ niile unu tara.
But call to mind the earlier days in which, having been enlightened, ye endured much conflict of sufferings;
33 Mgbe ụfọdụ, a kparịrị unu nʼihu ọha, unu natakwara mkpagbu. Nʼoge ọzọ, unu soro ndị e si otu a mesoo mmeso.
on the one hand, when ye were made a spectacle both in reproaches and afflictions; and on the other, when ye became partakers with those who were passing through them.
34 Unu were obi ebere soro ndị nọ nʼụlọ mkpọrọ taa ahụhụ, unu jikwa ọṅụ nabata ya mgbe a nakọrọchara unu ihe niile unu nwere, nʼihi na unu onwe unu matara na unu nwere ihe ka mma, nke na-anọgide.
For ye both sympathised with prisoners and accepted with joy the plunder of your goods, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better substance, and an abiding one.
35 Ya mere, unu ahapụkwala ntụkwasị obi unu ahụ, nʼihi na ọ na-eweta ụgwọ ọrụ dị ukwuu.
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense.
36 Nʼihi ya, unu kwesiri inwe ndidi ka ọ ga-abụ na mgbe unu mere uche Chineke unu ga-anata ihe e kwere na nkwa.
For ye have need of endurance in order that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.
37 Nʼihi, “Na oge na-adịghị anya, onye ahụ nke na-abịa ga-abịa ọ gaghị anọkwa ọdụ.”
For yet a very little while he that comes will come, and will not delay.
38 Ma, “Onye ezi omume nkem ga-esite nʼokwukwe dị ndụ. Mkpụrụobi m agaghị e nwee mmasị nʼime onye ọbụla na-alaghachi azụ.”
But the just shall live by faith; and, if he draw back, my soul does not take pleasure in him.
39 Ma anyị abụghị ndị na-alaghachi azụ si otu a laa nʼiyi. Kama anyị dịnyere ndị nwere okwukwe, bụrụkwa ndị a zọpụtara.
But we are not drawers back to perdition, but of faith to saving [the] soul.
