1 Nke a bụ usoro ihe ndepụta banyere agbụrụ Adam. Mgbe Chineke kere mmadụ, o kere ya nʼoyiyi Chineke.
This is the book of the generations of Adam. On the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him:
2 O kere ha nwoke na nwanyị, gọziekwa ha. Mgbe e kere ha, ọ kpọrọ ha mmadụ.
Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, on the day when they were created.
3 Mgbe Adam gbara narị afọ na iri afọ atọ, ọ mụrụ nwa ya nwoke nʼoyiyi nke ya, na nʼụdịdị nke ya. Ọ gụrụ ya Set.
And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his likeness, after his image; and called his name Sheth.

And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.

And Sheth lived a hundred and five years, and begat Enosh.
7 Mgbe ọ ghọchara nna Enọsh, Set dịrị ndụ ruo narị afọ asatọ na asaa ọzọ, mụta ụmụ ndị ikom na ụmụ ndị inyom.
And Sheth lived after he had begotten Enosh eight hundred and seven years; and he begat sons and daughters.
8 Set nwụrụ mgbe ọ gbara narị afọ itoolu na iri afọ na abụọ.
And all the days of Sheth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.
9 Mgbe Enọsh gbara iri afọ itoolu, ọ ghọrọ nna Kenan.
And Enosh lived ninety years, and begat Kenan.
10 Mgbe ọ ghọchara nna Kenan, Enọsh dịrị ndụ narị afọ asatọ na iri afọ na ise, mụta ụmụ ndị ikom na ụmụ ndị inyom.
And Enosh lived after he had begotten Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years; and he begat sons and daughters.
11 Enọsh nwụkwara mgbe ọ nọzuru narị afọ itoolu na afọ ise.
And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.
12 Mgbe Kenan gbara iri afọ asaa ka ọ ghọrọ nna Mahalalel.
And Kenan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalalel.
13 Mgbe ọ ghọchara nna Mahalalel, Kenan dịrị ndụ narị afọ asatọ na iri afọ anọ mụta ụmụ ndị ikom na ụmụ ndị inyom.
And Kenan lived after he had begotten Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years; and he begat sons and daughters
14 Kenan nwụrụ mgbe ọ gbara narị afọ itoolu na afọ iri.
And all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.
15 Mgbe Mahalalel gbara iri afọ isii na afọ ise ka ọ ghọrọ nna Jared.
And Mahalalel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared.
16 Mgbe ọ ghọchara nna Jared, Mahalalel dịrị ndụ narị afọ asatọ na iri afọ atọ, mụta ụmụ ndị ikom na ụmụ ndị inyom.
And Mahalalel lived after he had begotten Jared eight hundred and thirty years; and he begat sons and daughters.

And all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety and five years; and he died.
18 Mgbe Jared dị narị afọ na iri afọ isii na abụọ ka ọ ghọrọ nna Enọk.
And Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years, and begat Enoch.
19 Mgbe ọ ghọchara nna Enọk, Jared dịrị ndụ narị afọ asatọ ọzọ mụta ụmụ ndị ikom na ụmụ ndị inyom.
And Jared lived after he had begotten Enoch eight hundred years; and he begat sons and daughters.
20 Jared nwụrụ mgbe ọ gbara narị afọ itoolu na iri afọ isii na abụọ.
And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years; and he died.
21 Mgbe Enọk gbara iri afọ isii na afọ ise ka ọ ghọrọ nna Metusela.
And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methushelah.
22 Mgbe ọ ghọchara nna Metusela, Enọk soro ụzọ Chineke narị afọ atọ. Nʼoge a, ọ mụtara ụmụ ndị ikom na ụmụ ndị inyom.
And Enoch walked with God after he had begotten Methushelah three hundred years; and begat sons and daughters.
23 Ọnụọgụgụ nke afọ niile Enọk biri ndụ, bụ narị afọ atọ na iri afọ isii na ise.
And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years.
24 Enọk soro ụzọ Chineke ruo na a hụkwaghị ya nʼihi na Chineke kpọọrọ ya.
And Enoch walked with God, and he was no more; for God had taken him.
25 Mgbe Metusela gbara narị afọ na iri afọ asatọ na asaa ka ọ ghọrọ nna Lamek.
And Methushelah lived a hundred eighty and seven years and begat Lemech.
26 Mgbe ọ ghọchara nna Lamek, Metusela dịrị ndụ narị afọ asaa na iri afọ asatọ na abụọ ọzọ mụta ụmụ ndị ikom na ụmụ ndị inyom.
And Methushelah lived after he had begotten Lemech seven hundred eighty and two years; and he begat sons and daughters.
27 Metusela nwụrụ mgbe ọ gbara narị afọ itoolu na iri afọ isii na itoolu.
And all the days of Methushelah were nine hundred sixty and nine years; and he died.
28 Mgbe Lamek gbara narị afọ na iri afọ asatọ na abụọ ka ọ mụtara nwa nwoke.
And Lemech lived a hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son.
29 Lamek gụrụ ya Noa, nʼihi na ọ sịrị: “Ọ ga-akasị anyị obi nʼime oke ọrụ na ndọgbu anyị na-adọgbu onwe anyị nʼọrụ nʼala a Onyenwe anyị bụrụ ọnụ.”
And he called his name Noach, [[Noah, ]] saying, This one shall comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.

And Lemech lived after he had begotten Noah five hundred ninety and five years; and begat sons and daughters.
31 Lamek nwụrụ mgbe ọ gbara narị afọ asaa na iri afọ asaa na asaa.
And all the days of Lemech were seven hundred seventy and seven years; and he died.
32 Mgbe Noa gbara narị afọ ise ọ ghọrọ nna Shem, Ham na Jafet.
And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
