1 Nʼafọ mbụ nke ọchịchị Sairọs, eze Peshịa, ime ka okwu Onyenwe anyị nke sitere nʼọnụ Jeremaya mezuo, Onyenwe anyị kpaliri mmụọ Sairọs, eze Peshịa ka o mee mkpọsa nʼalaeze ya niile, ma denyekwa ya nʼakwụkwọ iwu, sị,
Now in the first year of Cyrus king of the Persians, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremias might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of the Persians, and he issued a proclamation through all his kingdom, and that in writing, saying,
2 “Otu a ka Sairọs, eze Peshịa kwuru, “‘Onyenwe anyị Chineke nke eluigwe, e nyela m alaeze niile nke dị nʼụwa, o nyekwala m ọrụ iwuru ya ụlọnsọ na Jerusalem, nke dị na Juda.
Thus said Cyrus king of the Persians, The Lord God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has given me a charge to build him a house in Jerusalem that is in Judea.
3 Ya mere, onye ya ọbụla nʼetiti ndị ya nwere ike ịga Jerusalem nke dị na Juda, gaa wuo ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị, Chineke Izrel, bụ Chineke nọ na Jerusalem. Ka Chineke ha nọnyekwara ha.
Who [is] there among you of all his people? for his God shall be with him, and he shall go up to Jerusalem that is in Judea, and let him build the house of the God of Israel: he [is] the God that is in Jerusalem.
4 Ma nʼobodo ọbụla ebe ndị fọdụrụ ndụ bi, ka ndị nọ nʼebe ahụ nye ha onyinye ọlaọcha na ọlaedo, na akụ na anụ ụlọ nʼụzọ enyemaka, tinyere onyinye afọ ofufu maka ụlọnsọ ukwu Chineke nke dị na Jerusalem.’”
And [let] every [Jew] that is left [go] from every place where he sojourns, and the men of his place shall help him with silver, and gold, and goods, and cattle, together with the voluntary offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.
5 Mgbe ahụ, Chineke tinyere ọchịchọ ịlaghachi Jerusalem nʼobi ndịisi ezinaụlọ Juda na Benjamin na ndị nchụaja, na ndị Livayị. Ha kwadokwara ịlaghachi maka ịrụ ọrụ ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị ahụ na-atụfughị oge.
Then the chiefs of the families of Juda and Benjamin arose, and the priests, and the Levites, all whose spirit the Lord stirred up to go up to build the house of the Lord that [is] in Jerusalem.
6 Ndị Juu bi na gburugburu Peshịa nyere ndị nke na-alaghachi Jerusalem onyinye ihe ọlaọcha na ọlaedo, na anụ ụlọ na ihe ndị ọzọ, na onyinye dị oke ọnụahịa dị iche iche, tinyere onyinye afọ ofufu ha.
And all that were round about strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with cattle, and with presents, besides the voluntary offerings.
7 Nke ka nke, eze Sairọs chịpụtara ọtụtụ ngwongwo nke ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị nke Nebukadneza sitere na Jerusalem bukọrọ gaa debe nʼụlọ chi ya.
And king Cyrus brought out the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nabuchodonosor had brought from Jerusalem, and put in the house of his god.
8 Sairọs bụ eze Peshịa, chịpụtara ha site nʼaka Mitredat, onye bụ odozi akụ, onye gụrụ ha ọnụ nye Sheshbaza, onye bụ onyeisi ndị Juu ahụ na-alaghachi Jerusalem na Juda.
And Cyrus king of the Persians brought them out by the hand of Mithradates the treasurer, and he numbered them to Sasabasar, the chief man of Juda.
9 Nke a bụ ọnụọgụgụ ngwongwo ndị ahụ: efere ọlaedo iri atọ, efere ọlaọcha otu puku, efere ọlaọcha iri abụọ na itoolu,
And this [is] their number: thirty gold basins, and a thousand silver basins, nine and twenty changes, thirty golden goblets,
10 efere nta ọlaedo iri atọ, efere ọlaọcha nta narị anọ na iri, ngwongwo ndị ọzọ otu puku.
and four hundred [and] ten double silver [vessels], and a thousand other vessels.
11 Nʼime ihe ndị a niile, ọnụọgụgụ ihe e ji ọlaọcha na ọlaedo kpụọ dị puku ise na narị anọ. Sheshbaza bulatara ihe ndị a mgbe ya na ndị ahụ a dọọrọ nʼagha hapụrụ Babilọn na-alọta Jerusalem.
All the gold and silver vessels were five thousand four hundred, [even] all that went up with Sasabasar from the [place of] transportation, from Babylon to Jerusalem.
