< Izikiel 1 >
1 O ruo nʼafọ nke iri atọ, nʼọnwa nke anọ, nʼụbọchị nke ise ya, mgbe mụ onwe m na ndị ahụ e mere ka ha gaa biri na mba ọzọ nọ nʼakụkụ iyi ukwu Keba, na e meghere eluigwe mee ka m hụ ọhụ dị iche iche site nʼaka Chineke.
And it comes to pass, in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], on the fifth of the month, and I [am] in the midst of the expulsion by the river Chebar, the heavens have been opened, and I see visions of God.
2 Nʼụbọchị nke ise nʼọnwa ahụ, ọ bụ nʼafọ nke ise mgbe a dọkpụụrụ eze Jehoiakin jee mba ọzọ,
In the fifth of the month—it is the fifth year of the expulsion of King Jehoiachin—
the word of YHWH has certainly been to Ezekiel son of Buzi the priest, in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river Chebar, and there is on him there a hand of YHWH.
4 Elere m anya hụ oke ifufe nke si nʼugwu na-abịa, ahụkwara m oke igwe ojii na amụma nke na-egbuke egbuke; ìhè nke na-enwu nnọọ vaa gbara ya gburugburu. Etiti ọkụ ahụ nwere ihe dịka ọlaọkụ na-amụke amụke.
And I look, and behold, a turbulent wind is coming from the north, a great cloud, and fire catching itself, and brightness to it all around, and out of its midst as the color of electrum, out of the midst of the fire.
5 Ihe e kere eke anọ dị ndụ, nke yiri mmadụ nʼụdịdị ha, nọkwa nʼetiti oke ihe ahụ.
And out of its midst [is] a likeness of four living creatures, and this [is] their appearance; a likeness of man [is] to them,
6 Nke ọbụla nʼime ha nwere ihu anọ, na nku anọ.
and each had four faces and each of them had four wings,
7 Ụkwụ ha guzoro kwem; ọbụ ụkwụ ha dịka nke nwa ehi, na-amụkekwa dịka bronz e hichara nke ọma.
and their feet [are] straight feet, and the sole of their feet [is] as a sole of a calf’s foot, and they are sparkling as the color of bright bronze;
8 Nʼokpuru nku ha, ha nwere aka yiri aka mmadụ nʼakụkụ anọ ha niile. Otu a ka ihu ha na nku anọ dị.
and on their four sides [each had] hands of man under their wings; and [each] of the four had their faces and their wings;
9 Nku ha na-emetụ na nke ibe ha. Mgbe ha na-efe, ha na-eche ihu ha nʼotu ụzọ, ha adịghị agha anya ha nʼazụ mgbe ha na-aga.
their wings [are] joining to one another, they do not turn around in their going, they each go straight forward.
10 Maka oyiyi ihu ha: Ha anọ nwere ihu mmadụ, nʼakụkụ aka nri ha nwere ihu ọdụm, nʼakụkụ aka ekpe ha bụ ihu ehi, onye ọbụla nwekwara ihu ugo.
As for the likeness of their faces, [each had] the face of a man, and toward the right the four had the face of a lion, and on the left the four had the face of an ox, and the four had the face of an eagle.
11 Otu ahụ ka ihu ha niile dị. Ha gbasara nku ha nʼelu, nke ọbụla nwere nku abụọ, otu nʼime nku ndị a na-emetụ nku nke ibe ya, ebe abụọ kpuchiri ahụ ha.
And their faces and their wings dividing from above, of each [are] two joining together, and two are covering their bodies.
And they each go straight forward, to where the Spirit is to go, they go, they do not turn around in their going.
13 Nʼetiti ihe ndị a dị ndụ, e nwere ihe dịka icheku ọkụ na-enwu enwu, dịkwa ka ọwa na-enwu ọkụ. Ọkụ na-esi nʼetiti ihe ndị ahụ dị ndụ na-aga ihu na azụ, ọkụ ahụ nwupụrụ enwupụ, amụma eluigwe sikwa na ya egbupụta.
As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearances [are] as coals of fire—burning as the appearance of lamps; it is going up and down between the living creatures, and brightness [is] to the fire, and lightning is going forth out of the fire.
14 Ihe ndị ahụ dị ndụ na-efegharị nʼebe a, na-efegharịkwa nʼebe nke ọzọ, dịka mgbe amụma na-egbu.
And the living creatures are running, and turning back, as the appearance of the flash.
15 Mgbe m na-ele ihe e kere eke dị ndụ ndị a anya, ahụrụ m ụkwụ ụgbọ agha anọ nke dị nʼala nʼokpuru ha. Onye ọbụla nwere nke ya.
And I see the living creatures, and behold, one wheel [is] in the earth, near the living creatures, at its four faces.
16 Ụkwụ ụgbọala ahụ niile dị ka ihe e ji nkume na-egbu maramara a na-akpọ beril kpụọ.
The appearance of the wheels and their works [is] as the color of beryl, and the four of them had one likeness, and their appearances and their works [are] as it were the wheel in the midst of the wheel.
On their four sides, in their going they go, they do not turn around in their going.
18 Azụ ụkwụ ụgbọ agha ha dị elu, dịkwa egwu. Anya jupụtakwara nʼazụ ụkwụ ụgbọ agha ndị ahụ.
As for their rings, they are both high and fearful, and their rings, of the four of them, [are] full of eyes around them.
And in the going of the living creatures, the wheels go beside them, and in the living creatures being lifted up from off the earth, the wheels are lifted up.
20 Ebe ọbụla mmụọ ha jere, ebe ahụ ka ha na-aga, ụkwụ ụgbọ agha ahụ na-esokwa ha, nʼihi na mmụọ nke anụ ndị ahụ dị ndụ dị nʼụkwụ ụgbọ agha ndị ahụ.
To where the Spirit is to go, they go, there the Spirit [is] to go, and the wheels are lifted up alongside them, for a living spirit [is] in the wheels.
In their going, they go; and in their standing, they stand; and in their being lifted up from off the earth, the wheels are lifted up alongside them; for a living spirit [is] in the wheels.
22 A tụsara ihe sara mbara dịka mbara eluigwe nʼelu isi ihe ndị ahụ dị ndụ. Ọ na-eyi egwu, ma na-egbukwa nweghenweghe dịka kristal.
And over the heads of the living creatures—a likeness of an expanse, as the color of the fearful ice, stretched out over their heads from above.
And under the expanse their wings [are] straight, one toward [its] sister; two [wings] of each are covering them, and two [wings] of each are covering their bodies.
24 Mgbe ha na-aga, nku ha na-eme mkpọtụ dị ka mkpọtụ ebili mmiri na-amagharị amagharị. Mkpọtụ ahụ dịkwa ka ịda ụda nke olu Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, ka olu iti mkpu nke usuu ndị agha. Mgbe ọbụla ha guzoro, ha na-achịtu nku ha.
And I hear the noise of their wings, as the noise of many waters, as the noise of the Mighty One, in their going—the noise of tumult, as the noise of a camp, in their standing they let their wings fall.
25 Mgbe ahụ ha kwụsịrị mechie nku ha olu sitere nʼime ihe ahụ dịka mbara eluigwe nke dị nʼelu isi ha na-abịa.
And there is a voice from above the expanse, that [is] above their head: in their standing they let their wings fall.
26 Nʼelu mbara eluigwe ahụ, o nwere ihe dịka ocheeze e ji nkume dị oke ọnụahịa a na-akpọ safaia wuo. Otu onye, nke ụdịdị ya dị ka nwoke, nọkwasịkwara nʼelu oche ahụ.
And above the expanse that [is] over their head, as an appearance of a sapphire stone, [is] the likeness of a throne, and on the likeness of the throne a likeness, as the appearance of man on it from above.
27 Site nʼụkwụ ya ruo nʼisi ya, ahụ onye ahụ na-egbu maramara dịka ọkụ. Site nʼụkwụ ya ruo nʼukwu ya, ọ dị ka ọkụ na-enwu enwu, ìhè nke na-enwukwa ka ọkụ gbara ya gburugburu.
And I see as the color of electrum, as the appearance of fire all around within it, from the appearance of His loins and upward; and from the appearance of His loins and downward, I have seen as the appearance of fire, and brightness [is] all around Him.
28 Ìhè ahụ gbara ya gburugburu, nke a na-ahụ anya, dịkwa ka ìhè eke na egwurugwu, nke a na-ahụ anya nʼoge mmiri na-ezo. Otu a ka ebube Onyenwe anyị si gosi m onwe ya. Mgbe m hụrụ ya, adara m nʼala kpuo ihu m nʼala. Mgbe ahụ, anụrụ m olu onye na-ekwu okwu.
As the appearance of the bow that is in a cloud in a day of rain, so [is] the appearance of the brightness all around.
