< Izikiel 37 >

1 Aka nke Onyenwe anyị dịkwasịrị m, o sitekwara nʼike Mmụọ nke Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị bulie m, debe m nʼetiti ndagwurugwu nke jupụtara nʼọkpụkpụ.
One day Yahweh gave me another vision. In the vision I felt the power [MTY] of God on me, and by his Spirit he took me to the middle of a valley. It was full of bones [of people who had been killed].
2 O mere ka m jegharịa nʼetiti ha. Ahụrụ m ọkpụkpụ kpọrọ nkụ, nke dị ukwuu nʼọnụọgụgụ, ka ha ghasa na ndagwurugwu ahụ.
He led me to walk back and forth among those bones. I saw that there were very many bones there, bones that were very dry.
3 Ọ sịrị m, “Nwa nke mmadụ, ọkpụkpụ ndị a ha pụrụ ịdị ndị ọzọ?” Asịrị m, “Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị ọ bụ naanị gị onwe gị maara.”
He asked me, “You human, [do you think that] these bones can become living [people again]?” I replied, “Yahweh my Lord, only you know [if that can happen].”
4 Mgbe ahụ, ọ sịrị m, “Buo amụma nye ọkpụkpụ ndị ahụ, gwa ha, ‘Unu ọkpụkpụ niile kpọrọ nkụ, geenụ ntị nʼokwu nke Onyenwe anyị.
Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones. Say to them, ‘You dry bones, listen to what Yahweh says.
5 Ihe ndị a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị na-agwa ọkpụkpụ ndị a. Lee, aga m eme ka ume baa nʼime unu, unu ga-adịkwa ndụ.
This is what Yahweh the Lord says to you bones: I will put my breath into each of you, and you will become alive again.
6 Aga m etinyekwasị unu akwara, na anụ ahụ, werekwa akpụkpọ ahụ kpuchie unu. Aga m etinye ume nʼime unu, unu ga-adịkwa ndụ. Mgbe ahụ, unu ga-amata na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị.’”
I will fasten tendons to your bones, and cause your bones to be covered with flesh. I will cover the flesh with skin. Then I will breathe into you, and you will become alive. When that happens, you will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].’”
So I spoke to the bones what Yahweh commanded me to speak. As I was speaking, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bones joining to each other.
8 Mgbe m nọkwa na-ele anya, lee, ahụrụ m ka akwara na anụ ahụ malitere ịbịakwasị nʼelu ọkpụkpụ ndị ahụ, akpụkpọ ahụ kpuchikwara elu ha. Ma nʼoge a ume ọbụla adịghị nʼime ha.
While I was looking, I saw tendons fastening to them and flesh covering them, and then skin covered the flesh, but they did not breathe.
9 Mgbe ahụ, ọ sịrị m, “Buo amụma nye ifufe; buo amụma, nwa nke mmadụ, sị ifufe, ‘Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru: site nʼakụkụ anọ nke ụwa bịa, gị ume na-enye ndụ, kukwasị ndị a e gburu egbu ka ha dịkwa ndụ ọzọ.’”
Then he said to me, “You human, prophesy to the wind. Say to the wind, ‘Wind [APO], Yahweh says to you, blow from all four directions. Breathe into these people who have been killed, in order that they can become alive again!’”
10 Ya mere, eburu m amụma dịka o si nye m nʼiwu. Ume ndụ banyekwara nʼime ha. Ha niile dịịrị ndụ, bilie ọtọ, guzo nʼụkwụ ha, ghọọ usuu ndị agha dị ukwuu nʼọnụọgụgụ.
So I said what he commanded me to say, and then breath entered them. They became alive and stood up, like a huge army.
11 Mgbe ahụ, ọ gwara m, “Nwa nke mmadụ, ọkpụkpụ ndị a nọchiri anya ụlọ Izrel niile. Ha na-asị, ‘Anyị aghọọla ọkpụkpụ kpọrọ nkụ, olileanya niile agwụkwala, anyị abụrụla ndị e bipụrụ.’
Then he said to me, “You human, these bones represent all the Israeli people [MTY]. The people say, ‘[It is as though] our bones are dried up; there are no more good things that we can (hope for/confidently expect to happen to us); our nation is destroyed/finished.’
So prophesy and say to them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: My people, [it will be as though] I will open your graves and cause your corpses to become alive again. I will bring you back to Israel.
13 Nʼikpeazụ, mgbe m meghere ili unu mee ka unu si nʼime ya pụta, unu bụ ndị m ga-amata na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị.
Then, what that happens, you my people will know that I, Yahweh the Lord, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
I will put my Spirit in you, and [it will be as though] you will become alive again, and I will enable you to live in your own land again. Then you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who said [that it would happen] and who has caused it to happen. That is what I, Yahweh, declare.’”
15 Okwu Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
Yahweh gave me [another] message. He said,
“You human, take a piece of wood and write on it, ‘This represents Judah and all the tribes of Judah.’ Then take another piece of wood and write on it, ‘This represents Israel and all the tribes of Israel.’
17 Jidekọtaa osisi abụọ ndị a ọnụ, mee ka ha bụrụ otu osisi nʼaka gị.
Then join them together to become [as though they were] one piece of wood in your hand.
18 “Mgbe ndị gị jụrụ gị, ‘Ị gaghị egosi anyị ihe nke a pụtara?’
When your fellow Israelis ask you, ‘What does (this action/what you just did) mean?’,
19 gwa ha, sị, ‘Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu: Lee, agaje m iwere osisi Josef, nke dị Ifrem nʼaka, nke bụkwa ihe nọchiri anya ebo ụfọdụ ndị Izrel, jidekọtaa ya na osisi nọchiri anya Juda, mee ha ka ha ghọọ otu osisi, bụrụkwa otu nʼaka m.’
tell them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: One of the pieces of wood in my hand represents Israel and all the tribes of Israel. I am joining it to the piece of wood that represents Judah, to form one piece of wood in his hand.’
20 Were mkpirisi osisi ndị ahụ i dere ihe nke dị nʼaka gị, gosi ha,
Then, [you human], hold up the pieces of wood that you have written on, in order that the people can see them.
21 ma gwakwa ha, ‘Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu: Aga m esite na mba niile ndị Izrel jere biri kpọpụta ha. Aga m achịkọtakwa ha site nʼakụkụ niile, kpọbata ha nʼala nke aka ha.
Say to the people, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: I will take you Israeli people out of the countries to which you have been forced to go. I will gather you from all those nations and bring you back to your own land.
22 Aga m eme ha ka ha bụrụ otu mba nʼala ahụ, nʼugwu niile nke Izrel. Ha ga-enwe naanị otu eze nke ga-achị ha niile. Ha agaghị abụkwa mba abụọ maọbụ alaeze abụọ ọzọ.
And I will cause you to again be one nation in that land, on the mountains in Israel. And there will be one king to rule over all of you. Never again will you be two nations or divided into two kingdoms.
23 Ha agaghị ejikwa arụsị ha niile, maọbụ ihe a pịrị apị rụrụ arụ, maọbụ jiri ihe ọjọọ ndị ọzọ dị iche iche merụọ onwe ha ọzọ. Nʼihi na aga m azọpụta ha site na ịlaghachi azụ nʼụzọ mmehie ha niile, meekwa ka ha dị ọcha. Ha ga-abụ ndị m, mụ onwe m ga-abụkwa Chineke ha.
No longer will you (defile yourselves/make yourselves unacceptable to me) by [worshiping] idols and disgusting statues [of your gods], because I will enable you to quit your sinful behavior and to stop rejecting me. You will be my people, and I will be your God.
24 “‘Ohu m, Devid, ga-abụ eze ga-achị ha, ha ga-enwekwa otu onye ọzụzụ atụrụ. Ha ga-edebezu iwu m niile, na ụkpụrụ m niile.
[Someone who will be like] [MET] [King] David who served [me well] will be the king [of your descendants], and [it will be as though] [MET] he will be their shepherd. They will carefully obey all my laws [DOU].
They will live in the land that I gave to Jacob, who also served [me well]; they will live in the land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their grandchildren will live there forever, and [the one who will be like] [MET] [King] David will be their king forever.
26 Mụ na ha ga-agba ndụ udo, ọgbụgba ndụ nke ga-adị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. Aga m agọzi ha, mee ka ha baa ụba. Nʼetiti ha kwa ka ụlọnsọ m ga-adị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
I will make a peace agreement with them; it will be an agreement that will endure forever. I will again give them that land and cause their population to increase. And I will put my temple among them forever.
27 Ebe obibi m ga-abụkwa nʼetiti ha. E, aga m abụ Chineke ha, ha ga-abụkwa ndị m.
The place where I will live will be among them; I will be their God and they will be my people.
28 Mgbe ụlọnsọ m ga-adị nʼetiti ha ruo ebighị ebi, mba niile ga-amata na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị na-edo Izrel nsọ.’”
Then, when my temple is forever there among them, the people of other nations will know that I, Yahweh, have caused the Israeli people to be set apart [to belong to me].’”
