1 Okwu Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2 “Nwa nke mmadụ, buo amụma megide ndị ọzụzụ atụrụ Izrel niile, buo amụma sị ha, ‘Ihe a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru: Ahụhụ na-adịrị unu ndị ọzụzụ atụrụ Izrel, ndị na-enyeju naanị onwe ha afọ. Ọ kwesighị ka onye ọzụzụ atụrụ lekọtazie igwe atụrụ e tinyere nʼaka ya anya?
“Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy, and tell them, even the shepherds, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Shouldn’t the shepherds feed the sheep?
3 Unu na-eri abụba ha niile, unu na-eyi uwe ajị anụ, na-egbu anụ ndị mara abụba nʼagbanyeghị na unu adịghị elekọta igwe ewu na atụrụ m ndị a.
You eat the fat. You clothe yourself with the wool. You kill the fatlings, but you don’t feed the sheep.
4 Unu anaghị eme ka ndị na-adịghị ike dị ike, maọbụ gwọọ ndị na-arịa ọrịa, maọbụ kechie ọnya ndị merụrụ ahụ. Unu adịghị akpọghachite ndị kpafuru akpafu, maọbụ pụọ ịchọ ndị furu efu. Kama naanị aka ike ka unu ji na-achị ha.
You haven’t strengthened the diseased. You haven’t healed that which was sick. You haven’t bound up that which was broken. You haven’t brought back that which was driven away. You haven’t sought that which was lost, but you have ruled over them with force and with rigor.
They were scattered, because there was no shepherd. They became food to all the animals of the field, and were scattered.
6 Igwe ewu na atụrụ nke m na-awagharị nʼugwu niile, na nʼelu ugwu nta niile. Ọ bụkwa nʼelu ụwa niile ka ha gbasara. Ọ dịkwaghị onye na-ajụ ajụjụ banyere ha. Ọ dịkwaghị onye na-elenye anya nʼebe ha nọ.
My sheep wandered through all the mountains and on every high hill. Yes, my sheep were scattered on all the surface of the earth. There was no one who searched or sought.”
7 “‘Nʼihi nke a, unu ndị ọzụzụ atụrụ, nụrụnụ okwu nke Onyenwe anyị:
“‘Therefore, you shepherds, hear the LORD’s word:
8 Dịka mụ onwe m na-adị ndụ, ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, ebe unu hapụrụ igwe atụrụ m na-enweghị onye ọzụzụ atụrụ, mee ka ha ghọọrọ anụ ọhịa ihe oriri, ebe unu na-achọgharịghị ha, kama unu nọ na-enyeju onwe unu afọ, ma hapụ igwe atụrụ m ka agụụ gbuo ha,
“As I live,” says the Lord GOD, “surely because my sheep became a prey, and my sheep became food to all the animals of the field, because there was no shepherd, and my shepherds didn’t search for my sheep, but the shepherds fed themselves, and didn’t feed my sheep,
9 nʼihi ya, unu ndị ọzụzụ atụrụ, nụrụnụ okwu nke Onyenwe anyị:
therefore, you shepherds, hear the LORD’s word!”
10 Ihe ndị a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru, Ana m edo onwe m megide ndị ọzụzụ atụrụ niile. Ọ bụkwa nʼaka ha ka m ga-ajụta ihe banyere igwe ewu na atụrụ m. Aga m eme ka ha kwụsị ị bụ ndị na-azụ igwe ewu na atụrụ m, ka ndị ọzụzụ atụrụ ndị a ghara ịzụ onwe ha nri ọzọ. Aga m esite nʼọnụ ha napụta igwe ewu na atụrụ m, ha agaghị abụkwara ha nri ọzọ.
The Lord GOD says: “Behold, I am against the shepherds. I will require my sheep at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the sheep. The shepherds won’t feed themselves any more. I will deliver my sheep from their mouth, that they may not be food for them.”
11 “‘Nʼihi na Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị sịrị, mụ onwe m ga-eji aka m pụọ gaa chọgharịa igwe atụrụ m. Mụ onwe m kwa ga-elekọta ha.
“‘For the Lord GOD says: “Behold, I myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them out.
As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so I will seek out my sheep. I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
13 Aga m esite nʼobodo niile, na mba niile ha nọ kpọghachi ha nʼala nke ha. Aga m azụ ha nri nʼelu ugwu niile nke Izrel, na nʼakụkụ mmiri niile, ebe ala na-ewepụta nri nke ọma.
I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land. I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
14 Aga m azụ ha nʼebe ịta ahịhịa mara mma, na nʼelu ugwu niile nke Izrel. Nʼebe ahụ ka ha ga-amakpukwa nʼudo. Ha ga-ata nri nʼebe ịta ahịhịa mara mma nke elu ugwu Izrel.
I will feed them with good pasture, and their fold will be on the mountains of the height of Israel. There they will lie down in a good fold. They will feed on rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.
I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will cause them to lie down,” says the Lord GOD.
“I will seek that which was lost, and will bring back that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong. I will feed them in justice.”’
17 “‘Ma unu onwe unu, ụmụ igwe anụ ụlọ m, otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru, aga m ekpe ikpe nʼetiti atụrụ na atụrụ, ebule na mkpi.
“As for you, O my flock, the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I judge between sheep and sheep, the rams and the male goats.
18 Ọ bụ unu ihe nta nʼanya na unu na-ata nri kachasị mma? Unu ga-ejikwa ụkwụ zọtọsịa nke fọdụrụ? Ọ bụ unu ihe nta nʼanya na unu na-aṅụ mmiri nke kachasị mma? Unu ga-ejikwa ụkwụ unu na-agbarụ nke fọdụrụ?
Does it seem a small thing to you to have fed on the good pasture, but you must tread down with your feet the residue of your pasture? And to have drunk of the clear waters, but must you foul the residue with your feet?
19 Ọ bụ ihe kwesiri ekwesi na igwe atụrụ m ga-ata nri unu zọtọrọ azọtọ, ma ṅụọkwa mmiri unu gbarụrụ agbarụ?
As for my sheep, they eat that which you have trodden with your feet, and they drink that which you have fouled with your feet.’
20 “‘Nʼihi ya, nke a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị sịrị ha, nʼezie, mụ onwe m ga-ekpe ikpe nʼetiti atụrụ ndị gbara abụba, na atụrụ ndị a tara ahụ.
“Therefore the Lord GOD says to them: ‘Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.
21 Nʼihi na unu ji akụkụ ahụ unu, na ubu aka unu na-enupu ha. Unu jikwa mpi unu na-enupu ndị na-adịghị ike, tutu ruo mgbe unu chụsachara ha.
Because you thrust with side and with shoulder, and push all the diseased with your horns, until you have scattered them abroad,
therefore I will save my flock, and they will no more be a prey. I will judge between sheep and sheep.
I will set up one shepherd over them, and he will feed them, even my servant David. He will feed them, and he will be their shepherd.
I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David prince among them. I, the LORD, have spoken it.
25 “‘Mụ na ha ga-agba ndụ udo. Aga m achụpụkwa anụ ọjọọ niile nʼala ha, ka ndị m nwee ike ibi nʼudo nʼọzara, ma rahụkwa ụra ọ bụladị nʼetiti oke ọhịa nʼenweghị nsogbu.
“‘I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause evil animals to cease out of the land. They will dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
26 Aga m agọzi ndị m, gọziekwa ebe obibi ha na ihe niile gbara ugwu nta m gburugburu. Aga m ezite mmiri ozuzo nʼoge ya, nʼezie, ngọzị ga-ezoro ha dịka mmiri.
I will make them and the places around my hill a blessing. I will cause the shower to come down in its season. There will be showers of blessing.
27 Osisi ọhịa ga-amị mkpụrụ ya, ala ga-eme ihe omume ya. Ndị m ga-anọkwa nʼudo nʼala ha na-atụghị ụjọ. Ha ga-amatakwa na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị, mgbe m tijasịrị mkpọrọ yoku niile ha, napụta ha site nʼaka ndị na-akpagbu ha.
The tree of the field will yield its fruit, and the earth will yield its increase, and they will be secure in their land. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bars of their yoke, and have delivered them out of the hand of those who made slaves of them.
28 Ha agaghị abụkwa mba ndị ọzọ na-apụnara ihe ha nwere, maọbụ ndị anụ ọhịa ga-adọgbu. Ha ga-ebi na-atụghị ụjọ, ọ dịkwaghị onye ga-eme ka ha tụọ egwu.
They will no more be a prey to the nations, neither will the animals of the earth devour them; but they will dwell securely, and no one will make them afraid.
29 Aga m enye ha ala nke amaara nke ọma nʼihi ihe na-epupụta nʼime ya, ha agaghị abụkwa ndị ụnwụ mekpara ahụ nʼala ahụ ọzọ, maọbụ ihe a na-akwa emo nke mba dị iche iche.
I will raise up to them a plantation for renown, and they will no more be consumed with famine in the land, and not bear the shame of the nations any more.
30 Ha ga-amata na mụ onwe m, bụ Onyenwe anyị Chineke ha, na m na-anọnyere ha, na ha onwe ha kwa, bụ ụlọ Izrel, bụ ndị m, otu a ka Onyenwe anyị Chineke kwupụtara.
They will know that I, the LORD, their God am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, says the Lord GOD.
31 Unu bụ igwe ewu na atụrụ m, atụrụ nke ebe ịta nri m, mụ onwe m bụkwa Chineke unu. Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.’”
You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are men, and I am your God,’ says the Lord GOD.”
