< Izikiel 24 >

1 O ruo nʼafọ nke itoolu, nʼọnwa nke iri, nʼụbọchị nke iri, okwu nke Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
And the word of the Lord came unto me in the ninth year, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, saying,
2 “Nwa nke mmadụ, detuo ụbọchị taa nʼakwụkwọ, nʼihi na ọ bụ taa ka eze Babilọn gbara Jerusalem gburugburu.
Son of man, write thee down the name of this day, of this same day: the king of Babylon hath advanced against Jerusalem on this same day.
3 Ugbu a, tụọrọ ndị a na-enupu isi ilu a, gwa ha: ‘Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru: “‘Sikwasịnụ ite ahụ nʼọkụ; sikwasị ya kunyekwanụ mmiri nʼime ya.
And speak concerning the rebellious family a parable, and say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Set on the pot, set it on, and also pour water into it;
4 Tinyenụ anụ a bọrọ abọ nʼime ya. Tinye anụ dị mma, apata ya na aka ya. Tinyekwa ọkpụkpụ ndị ahụ dị mma nʼime ya.
Gather the proper pieces into it, every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it up with the choice bones.
5 Werenụ naanị ndị kachasị mma na ndị ahọpụtara site nʼigwe ewu na atụrụ, kwajuokwa nkụ nʼokpuru ya maka ọkpụkpụ ndị ahụ, mee ya ka ọ gbọọ nke ọma, sie ọkpụkpụ ndị ahụ nʼime ya.
Take the choice of the flock, and make also a fire for the bones under it: cause it to seethe well, that even the bones therein may be fully boiled through.
6 “‘Nʼihi na Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị sịrị, “‘Ahụhụ dịrị obodo ahụ a na-awụsi ọbara nʼime ya. E, ahụhụ dịrị ite ahụ nchara dị nʼime ya, nke a na-apụghị ịsachapụ nchara ya. Wepụtasịanụ ha nʼotu nʼotu. Ka a hapụ ifekwa nza mgbe a na-eme nke a.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Woe to the city of blood-guiltiness, to the pot the scum of which is yet in it, and the scum of which is not gone out of it! one of its pieces after the other take out from it: no lot is cast for it.
7 “‘Nʼihi na ọbara ọ wụsiri dị nʼetiti ya. Ọ bụkwa nʼelu nkume ka a wụsiri ya. Ọ bụghị nʼelu ala efu, ebe e nwere ike jiri aja kpochie ya.
For her blood was in the midst of her; on the naked rock did she place it: she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it over with dust.
8 Ọ bụ nʼihi ikpali ọnụma na ịbọ ọbọ ka m ji hapụ ọbara ahụ nʼelu nkume, ebe a na-apụghị iji aja kpochie ya.
To cause my fury to arise to take vengeance, do I place her blood upon the naked rock, so that it shall not be covered up.
9 “‘Ya mere, ihe a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu, “‘Ahụhụ dịrị gị obodo ahụ na-awụsi ọbara. Mụ onwe m ga-akwanyekwa nkụ dị ukwuu nʼọkụ.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Woe to the city of blood-guiltiness! I also will myself build up a large burning pile,
10 Chịkọtaanụ nkụ dị ukwuu, mụnyekwanụ ọkụ. Jirinụ ụda dị iche iche sizie anụ ahụ nke ọma; surekwaanụ ọkpụkpụ ya ọkụ.
Heaping on the wood, kindling the fire, thoroughly boiling the flesh, and stirring the mixture, that the bones may be scorched.
11 Sinyekwanụ ite ahụ ihe na-adịghị nʼime ya nʼọkụ, tutu ruo mgbe ọ nụrụ ọkụ, chagharịa, gbazee ihe niile na-abụghị ọla dị nʼime ya ga-asọpụtasị, nchara ya ga-agwụsịkwa.
Then will I set it empty upon its coals, in order that it may become hot, and its copper be made to glow, and its uncleanness may be molten in it, that its scum may be consumed.
12 Ndọgbu nʼọrụ niile a emeghị ka nchara ahụ pụọ. Ọ bụladị ọkụ dị ukwuu ahụ a kwanyere nʼokpuru ya emeghị ka ọ gbazee.
With fraud hath she wearied [the poor]; therefore shall not go forth from her the greatness of her scum: through fire shall her scum [be removed].
13 “‘Ugbu a, adịghị ọcha gị sitere na ndụ ọjọọ nke ịkwa iko gị. Nʼihi na m agbalịala ime ka ị dị ọcha, ma i kweghị adị ọcha site na mmerụ gị, ị gaghị adịkwa ọcha ọzọ tutu ruo mgbe ọnụma m megide gị zuruoke.
In thy uncleanness is [thy] incest; because I endeavored to cleanse thee, and thou wouldst not be clean, thou shalt not be cleansed from thy uncleanness any more, until I have assuaged my fury on thee.
14 “‘Mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị ekwuola ya. Oge m ji emezu ihe m kwuru eruola. Agaghị m ahapụ imezu ya. Agaghị m eme ebere maọbụ weghachi aka m azụ. A ga-ekpe gị ikpe dịka omume na obibi ndụ gị si dị. Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.’”
I the Lord have spoken it; it cometh to pass, and I will do it; I will not recall my decree, and I will not have pity, nor will I repent: according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall men judge thee, saith the Lord Eternal.
15 Okwu Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
16 “Nwa nke mmadụ, ana m aga iwere ihe otiti napụ gị onye ahụ ihe ya na-atọ gị ụtọ. Ma mgbe o mere, ị gaghị eti aka nʼobi maọbụ kwaa akwa. Anya mmiri agakwaghị esi gị nʼanya pụta.
Son of man, behold, I will take away from thee the desire of thy eyes by a sudden death; but thou shalt neither mourn nor weep, nor shalt thou shed a tear.
17 I nwere ike sụọ ude, ma asụsila ya ike. Ị gaghị eru uju nʼihi onye nwụrụ anwụ. Kechie isi gị, yirikwa akpụkpọụkwụ gị, ekpuchila egbugbere ọnụ gị, maọbụ rie nri ndị na-eru ụjụ na-eri.”
Sigh in silence, make no mourning for the deceased, thy bonnet bind around thy head, and thy shoes put on thy feet, and cover not thyself to thy upper lip, and eat not the bread of [other] men.
18 Agwara m ndị mmadụ okwu a nʼụtụtụ, ma nʼanyasị nwunye m nwụrụ. Nʼụtụtụ echi ya, emere m ihe niile dịka e siri nye m ya nʼiwu.
And when I had spoken unto the people in the morning, my wife died at evening: and I did in the morning as I had been commanded.
19 Mgbe ahụ, ndị mmadụ sịrị m, “Ị gaghị agwa anyị ihe ihe ndị a pụtara? Gịnị mere iji eme omume dị otu a?”
And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things mean for us, that thou doest so?
20 Ya mere a sịrị m ha, “Okwu nke Onyenwe anyị bịakwutere m,
And I said unto them, The word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
21 Gwa ụlọ Izrel, ‘Ihe ndị a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu: Ana m aga ime ka ebe nsọ m ghara ị dị nsọ, bụ ebe e wusiri ike nke unu ji na-anya isi, ihe na-amasị anya unu, nke ihe banyere ya na-atọ obi unu ụtọ. Ụmụ unu ndị ikom na ndị inyom, ndị unu hapụrụ ga-ada site na mma agha.
Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and the darling of your soul: and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left behind shall fall by the sword.
22 Mgbe ahụ, unu ga-eme dịka m mere. Unu agaghị ekpuchi egbugbere ọnụ unu, maọbụ rie nri ndị na-eru ụjụ kwesiri iri.
And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover yourselves to your upper lip, and the bread of other men shall ye not eat.
23 Ihe ikechi isi unu ga-adịgide nʼisi unu, akpụkpọụkwụ unu ga-adịkwa nʼụkwụ unu. Unu agaghị akwa akwa maọbụ tie aka nʼobi, kama unu ga-ata ahụ nʼihi mmehie unu, sụkwaa ude nʼetiti onwe unu.
And your bonnets shall be around your heads, and your shoes shall be on your feet: ye shall not mourn nor shall ye weep; but ye shall pine away in your iniquities, and groan, looking one at the other.
24 Izikiel ga-abụrụ unu ihe ịmaatụ. Unu ga-emekwa dịka o mere mgbe ihe ndị a mezuru. Unu ga-amata nʼezie na mụ onwe m bụ Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị.’
Thus shall Ezekiel be unto you for a token; in accordance with all that he hath done shall ye do: when this cometh, then shall ye know that I am the Lord Eternal.
25 “Ma gị, nwa nke mmadụ, nʼụbọchị ahụ m napụrụ ha ebe ha siri ike, nke bụ ọṅụ ha na ebube ha, na ihe anya ha na-achọsi ike; na ihe na-atọ obi ha ụtọ, na ụmụ ha ndị ikom na ụmụ ha ndị inyom,
Also, thou son of man, behold, on the day when I take from them their stronghold, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and the coveted object of their soul, their sons and their daughters, —
26 nʼụbọchị ahụ, ọ bụ onye na-agba ọsọ ndụ ga-agbakwute gị ịkọrọ gị ihe mere.
On that day there shall come one that hath escaped unto thee, and announce it to thy ears.
On that day shall thy mouth be opened through him that hath escaped, and thou shalt speak, and thou shalt not be silenced any more: and thou shalt be a token unto them, and they shall know that I am the Lord.
