< Izikiel 21 >
1 Mgbe ahụ, okwu Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
A message from the Lord came to me, saying,
2 “Nwa nke mmadụ, chee ihu gị nʼụzọ Jerusalem, buo amụma megide ụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ. Bukwaa amụma megide ala Izrel
“Son of man, face towards Jerusalem and condemn their places of worship. Prophesy against the people living in Israel
3 sị ala Izrel otu a, ‘Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu, Mụ onwe m na-emegide gị. Aga m esite nʼọbọ mịpụta mma agha m, site na gị gbuchapụ ma onye ezi omume na onye ajọ omume.
and tell them that this is what the Lord says: Watch out, because I'm going to attack you! I'm going to take out my sword and destroy you, both the good and the bad.
4 Nʼihi na m na-aga igbuchapụ ndị ezi omume na ndị ajọ omume, mma agha m ga-esite nʼọbọ ya pụta megide onye ọbụla site nʼugwu ruo na ndịda.
Because I'm going to destroy both the good and the bad, I will attack everyone from the north to the south.
5 Mgbe ahụ, mmadụ niile ga-amata na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị amịpụtala mma agha m site nʼọbọ ya, ọ gaghị amịghachi baa nʼọbọ ọzọ.’
Then the whole world will know that I, the Lord, have taken out my sword, and won't put it back again.
6 “Nʼihi ya, sụọ ude, nwa nke mmadụ, sụọ ude nʼihu ha nʼọnọdụ oke mwute na obi mgbawa.
You, son of man, you are to groan. Groan as if you're broken up inside, showing terrible sadness while they watch you.
7 Mgbe ha jụrụ gị, ‘Gịnị kpatara i ji asụ ude?’ Ị ga-asị, ‘Nʼihi ozi nke na-abịa. Obi niile ga-agbaze site nʼegwu, aka niile ga-akụdakwa; mmụọ niile ga-ada mba, ikpere niile ga-ede mmiri site nʼamịrị.’ Ọ na-abịa, ọ ghaghị imezu, otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.”
When they ask, ‘What are you groaning for?’ you are to tell them, ‘Because of the news that's coming. All of you will lose your courage and you'll be paralyzed with fear. All of you will be weak with worry—you won't be able to stand up!’ Watch out, because it's coming! It's going to happen! declares the Lord God.”
8 Ọzọkwa, okwu Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
Another message from the Lord came to me, saying,
9 “Nwa nke mmadụ buo amụma sị, ‘Ihe a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru: “‘Lee, mma agha, lee, mma agha, a mụọla ya, hichakwaa ya.
“Son of man, prophesy! Tell them this is what the Lord says: There's a sword, a sword that's being sharpened and polished.
10 Amụọla ya nʼihi oke ogbugbu nke gaje ịdị, hichakwaa ya nke ọma ka ọ na-egbu dịka amụma. “‘Anyị ọ ga-aṅụrị ọṅụ na mkpara eze nwa m nwoke Juda? Mma agha na-elelị mkpara niile dị otu a anya.
It's sharpened for killing and polished so it will flash like lightning! (Are we to be happy, saying, ‘The scepter of my son despises every other stick’?)
11 “‘E nyere iwu ka e hichazie mma agha ahụ, ka e jidekwa ya nʼaka. A mụọla ya, hichazie ya. E doziela ya maka onye ahụ ga-eji ya laa ndụ nʼiyi.
The sword is being polished right now, ready to be used. It's sharp and polished, ready to be handed over to the killer.
12 Nwa nke mmadụ, tie mkpu akwa ma kwasie akwa ike, nʼihi na ọ bụ megide ndị m ọ bụkwa megide ndịisi Izrel niile. A na-atụnyere ha mma agha ga-egbu ha, ha na ndị m. Nʼihi ya, tie aka gị nʼobi gị.
Weep and wail, son of man, and slap your thigh in grief, for the sword is going to be used to attack my people, to attack all the leaders of Israel! They will be thrown away, killed by the sword along with my people.
13 “‘Ọnwụnwa aghaghị ịbịa. Ma gịnị ga-eme, ma ọ bụrụ na mkpara eze nke mma agha na-elelị anya, agaghị nʼihu na-adịgide? Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.’
They will be tested. What if the scepter that despises others doesn't continue? declares the Lord God.
14 “Nʼihi ya, buo amụma, nwa nke mmadụ. Kụkọọ ọbụ aka gị abụọ, ka mma agha gbuo ugboro abụọ e, ọ bụladị ugboro atọ. Ọ bụ mma agha e debere maka ogbugbu, nke e debere maka oke ogbugbu nke ga-abịachibido ha gburugburu.
So son of man, prophesy and clap your hands. The sword will attack twice, and then a third time. It is a sword of death, killing many people by coming at them from every direction.
15 Ka obi ha gbazee site nʼegwu, ka ndị na-ada ada hie nne, nʼihi na edoziela m mma agha ahụ nʼọnụ ụzọ ama ha niile maka oke ogbugbu. Lee, mma agha ahụ na-egbu amụma, etinyela ya nʼaka onye ga-egbu oke ogbugbu.
I have placed a sword at all the gates of their city so that they may lose their courage, and many may fall. Oh no! It's made to flash like lightning and used to kill.
16 Gị mma agha, ebe ọbụla ị chọrọ, ebe ọbụla i nwere ike, gbuo onye ọbụla, ma ọ nọ gị nʼaka nri ma ọ nọ gị nʼaka ekpe.
Slash right and left, whichever way you're facing.
17 Mụ onwe m ga-akụkọtakwa ọbụ aka m, ime ka iwe m jụrụ. Mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị ekwuola.”
I will also clap my hands, and then my anger will be over. I, the Lord, have spoken.”
18 Okwu nke Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
Another message from the Lord came to me, saying,
19 “Nwa nke mmadụ mee ụzọ abụọ nke mma agha eze Babilọn ga-eso. Ka ụzọ abụọ ndị a malite nʼotu obodo. Dee ihe ngosi manye ha nʼebe ahụ ụzọ wara abụọ.
“Son of man, mark the two roads that the king of Babylon's army could take, beginning from the same country. Make a signpost where the road forks, leading to two different cities.
20 Mee ka otu nʼime ụzọ ndị ahụ bụrụ ebe mma agha ga-esi bịa megide Raba nke Amọn, ka nke ọzọ megide Juda na Jerusalem, bụ ebe e wusiri ike.
Have one sign point down the road for an attack on the Ammonite city of Rabbah, and another to attack Judah and the fortified city of Jerusalem.
21 Nʼihi na eze Babilọn ga-abịa guzo nʼebe ahụ ụzọ wara abụọ, nʼisi ụzọ abụọ ahụ ịchọ ihe ama. Ọ ga-esite nʼịgba àkụ nke ife nza, jụọ ase site nʼaka arụsị ya niile, nyochakwaa umeju ahụ.
The king of Babylon is standing at the fork in the road where the two roads meet looking for a prophetic sign: he casts lots using arrows, he asks advice from idols, and he examines the liver of sacrificial animals.
22 Nʼụzọ dị nʼaka nri, ka ihe ịjụ ase banyere Jerusalem ga-esi bịa. Nʼebe ahụ ka ọ ga-ewu ihe niile ha ji etida mgbidi obodo ahụ. Nʼebe ahụ ka ọ ga-anọ nye iwu maka igbuchapụ ndị niile, na iwu ido ihe e ji etipu mgbidi nʼọnụ ụzọ ama niile, na iwu a ga-eji wuo nkwasa agha na mgbidi e ji ebuso ya agha.
He holds the sign for Jerusalem in his right hand. This is where he is going to set up battering rams, to give the command to attack, to shout the war-cry. There he will order the battering rams to smash the gates, set up an attack ramp, and build a siege wall.
To those who have sworn to be loyal to Nebuchadnezzar this will look like a false sign, but it will reveal their guilt and they will be taken prisoner.
24 “Nʼihi ya, ihe ndị a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru. ‘Ebe ọ bụ na unu esitela na nnupu isi unu mee ka e cheta ajọ omume unu, si otu a na-ekpughe mmehie unu nʼihe niile unu na-eme. Ebe ọ bụ na unu emeela ihe dị otu a, a ghaghị ịdọta unu nʼagha.
So this is what the Lord God says: Because you have revealed your guilt and demonstrated your rebellion, showing your sins in everything you've done, now that you've made all this clear, you will be taken prisoner.
25 “‘Gị onye rụrụ arụ, onye na-emebi iwu, gị nwa eze nʼIzrel, gị onye ụbọchị ahụhụ ya rurula,
As for you, you unclean, wicked prince of Israel, the time has come to complete your punishment.
A ga-ebuli ndị dị ala, wedata ndị dị elu.
This is what the Lord God says: Take off your turban, and your crown. Things won't continue as they were. Give power to the common people and bring down the powerful!
27 Mbibi, mbibi. Aga m eme ka ọ ghọọ ihe e bibiri ebibi. A gaghị eweghachikwa ya ọzọ tutu ruo mgbe onye ahụ o ruuru nʼizi ezi bịara. Ya ka m ga-enyefe ya nʼaka.’
I'm going to destroy everything, make it all a ruin! It won't be restored until its owner arrives, the one I've given the authority to judge.
28 “Ma gị onwe gị, Nwa nke mmadụ, buo amụma kwuo, ‘Ihe ndị a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru megide ndị Amọn nʼihi ịkwa emo ha: “‘Lee mma agha, lee mma agha, nke a mịpụtara maka oke ogbugbu. E hichaziela ya mee ka ọ dị nkọ iripịa, ka ọ na-egbu amụma dịka amụma egbe eluigwe.
Prophesy, son of man, and announce that this is what the Lord God says about the Ammonites and their insults: A sword! A sword is ready for killing, polished to destroy, to flash like lightning,
29 Nʼagbanyeghị ọhụ ụgha nke a na-ahụ banyere unu, na a jụtakwala ase ụgha banyere unu, a ga-etinye ya nʼolu ndị mmebi iwu ahụ a gaje igbu egbu, bụ ndị ụbọchị ha rurula, ndị oge ịta ahụhụ ha zukwara.
even as your prophets give you false visions and prophecies that are lies. This sword will cut the necks of the wicked, killing them—those whose day has come for their punishment to be completed.
30 “‘Mịghachinụ ya nʼọbọ ya. Nʼebe ahụ e kere unu nʼala nna nna unu ha, Aga m ekpe unu ikpe.
Sword, go back to where you came from! I'm going to judge you right where you were created, in your homeland.
31 Aga m awụkwasị unu ọnụma m, kukwasịkwa unu ikuku nke oke iwe m. Aga m ewere unu nyefee nʼaka ndị na-eme ihe ike, ndị bụ ọka na ịla mmadụ nʼiyi.
I will deal with you in my anger; I will breathe my fire of anger on you; I will hand you over to cruel men who are experts in destruction.
32 Unu ga-aghọkwa mmanụ a na-awụnye nʼọkụ. A ga-awụsịkwa ọbara unu nʼala unu. Ọ dịkwaghị onye ga-echeta unu ọzọ, nʼihi na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị ekwuola.’”
You will be burned up like firewood. Your blood will be shed where you live. You will be forgotten, for I, the Lord, have spoken.”
