< Esta 6 >
1 Nʼabalị ahụ, ụra abịaghị eze nʼanya ma ọlị. Nʼihi ya, o metụrụ ya nʼobi ịgụ akwụkwọ ihe ncheta. Ya mere, o nyere iwu ka e wetara ya akwụkwọ a na-edekọta ihe niile e mere nʼoge ọchịchị ya.
In that night the king could not sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
2 Nʼime ya, ọ gụtara ihe e dere banyere Mọdekai, otu o si kpughee izuzu ọjọọ Bigtan na Teresh, ndị onozi eze na-eche nche nʼọnụ ụzọ ụlọeze, gbara igbu eze Sekses.
And it was found written, that Mordecai had informed of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
3 Mgbe ahụ eze jụrụ ajụjụ sị, “Gịnị bụ ihe ọma e meerela Mọdekai nʼihi ihe a o mere?” Ndị ozi ya zara, “O nwebeghị ihe ọbụla e meere ya!”
And the king said, What honor and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered to him, There is nothing done for him.
4 Eze sịrị, “Onye nọ nʼogige?” Ma Heman ka batachara na mbata ogige ụlọeze, ịgwa eze banyere mkwugbu Mọdekai nʼelu osisi nke o guzobere nʼihi ya.
And the king said, Who [is] in the court? Now Haman had come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak to the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
5 Ndị na-ejere ya ozi zara, “Heman na-eguzo nʼogige.” Eze sịrị, “Kpọbata ya.”
And the king's servants said to him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
6 Mgbe Heman batara, eze jụrụ ya ajụjụ sị, “Gịnị bụ ugwu m kwesiri inye onye mere ihe na-atọ m ụtọ?” Heman chere nʼime onwe ya sị, “Oleekwanụ onye ọzọ eze ga-achọ inye ugwu karịa mụ onwe m?”
So Haman came in. And the king said to him, What shall be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honor? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honor more than to myself?
7 Ya mere ọ zara eze, “Banyere nwoke ahụ ọ masịrị eze ịkwanyere ugwu,
And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honor,
8 nye iwu ka e wepụta uwe gị, nke gị bụ eze yitụrụla, na ịnyịnya gị, nke eze gbaarala, nke e kpukwasịrị oyiyi okpueze nʼisi ya.
Let the royal apparel be brought which the king [useth] to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:
9 Ka enye uwe ahụ na ịnyịnya ahụ nʼaka otu onye kachasị nwee ugwu nʼime ụmụ eze, ka ha yikwasị nwoke ahụ nke eze chọrọ ịsọpụrụ uwe ahụ, ka ịnyịnya buru ya dịka ha dọkpụ ya na-ejegharị nʼokporoụzọ niile nʼobodo, na-ekwusa nʼihu ya na-asị, ‘Otu a ka a na-emere nwoke ahụ ọ masịrị eze inye nsọpụrụ!’”
And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man whom the king delighteth to honor, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honor.
10 Mgbe ahụ eze nyere Heman iwu, sị; “Ahaa! Ntụpụta gị dị mma nke ukwuu! Mee ngwangwa, were uwe ndị a, na ịnyịnya m, meekwara Mọdekai onye Juu ahụ na-anọdụ nʼọnụ ụzọ ama ụlọeze ihe niile ndị a i kwuru. Hụkwa na i mechasịrị ihe ndị a niile i kwuru.”
Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, [and] take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.
11 Ya mere, Heman chịịrị uwe eze ahụ yikwasị ya Mọdekai nʼahụ. O mekwara ka ọ nọdụ nʼelu ịnyịnya eze. Emesịa, o duuru ya jegharịa nʼakụkụ obodo ahụ niile na-eti mkpu na-asị, “Otu a ka eze ga-esi sọpụrụ nwoke ahụ ihe ya dị ya mma.”
Then Haman took the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honor.
12 Emesịa, Mọdekai lọghachiri nʼọnụ ụzọ ama eze. Ma Heman mere ngwangwa laa nʼụlọ ya, kpuchiekwa isi ya nʼiru ụjụ,
And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every [thing] that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife to him, If Mordecai [is] of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou wilt not prevail against him, but wilt surely fall before him.
14 Mgbe ha na ya nọ na-akparịta ụka, ndị onozi eze bịaruru duru Heman ngwangwa maka ịga nʼoriri ahụ Esta kwadoro.
And while they [were] yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
