1 Eze bụ Ahasuerọs na-anakọta ụtụ site nʼaka ndị niile bi nʼalaeze ya tutu ruo nʼọnụ mmiri osimiri ebe alaeze ahụ sọtụrụ.

And the King Ahashuerosh layd a tribute vpon the land, and vpon the yles of the sea.

2 Ma ọrụ ukwu na ọrụ niile ọ rụrụ, ya na ihe niile gbasara ịdị ukwuu nke Mọdekai, na ugwu niile eze nyere ya, ha niile ka e dere nʼime akwụkwọ akụkọ ihe ndị eze Midia na Peshịa mere nʼoge ọchịchị ha.

And all the actes of his power, and of his might, and the declaration of the dignitie of Mordecai, wherwith the King magnified him, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Media and Persia?

3 Mọdekai, onye Juu, bụ onye na-esote eze Ahasuerọs nʼọkwa. Ọ bụ onye dị ukwuu nʼetiti ndị Juu, na onye ndị Juu ibe ya na-asọpụkwara, nʼihi na ọ na-elenye anya nʼihe gbasara udo ndị Juu. Ọ bụkwa onye na-ekwuchite ọnụ nʼihe banyere ọdịmma nke ndị Juu niile.

For Mordecai the Iewe was the second vnto King Ahashuerosh, and great among the Iewes, and accepted among the multitude of his brethren, who procured the wealth of his people, and spake peaceably to all his seede.
