1 Achụrụla Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke gị ehi maọbụ atụrụ nwere nkwarụ ọbụla maọbụ ntụpọ. Onyinye dị otu a bụ ihe arụ nʼebe ọ nọ.
You shall not sacrifice to the Lord your God a calf or a sheep, in which there is a blemish, [or] any evil thing; for it is an abomination to the Lord your God.
2 Ọ bụrụ na ị nụ na onye ọbụla nʼime obodo ndị ahụ Onyenwe anyị nyere gị, nwoke maọbụ nwanyị na-eme ihe dị njọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ime ihe megidere ọgbụgba ndụ ya,
And if there should be found in any one of your cities, which the Lord your God gives you, a man or a woman who shall do that which is evil before the Lord your God, so as to transgress his covenant,
3 ọ bụrụ na onye ahụ efee chi ndị ọzọ, maọbụ kpọọ isiala nye ha, maọbụ fee anwụ, maọbụ ọnwa, maọbụ kpakpando nke mbara eluigwe bụ ihe m na-enyeghị nʼiwu,
and they should go and serve other gods, and worship them, the sun, or the moon, or any of the host of heaven, which he commanded you not to do,
4 ọ bụrụ na e mere ka ị maara nʼihe dị otu a dị maọbụ ị nụ ya, ị ghaghị ịjụ ase, nyochaa ya nke ọma. Ọ bụrụ na ihe ị nụrụ bụ eziokwu, ọ bụrụ nʼezie na e mere ihe arụ dị otu a nʼala Izrel,
and it be told you, and you shall have enquired diligently, and, behold, the thing really took place, this abomination has been done in Israel;
5 kpọrọ nwoke maọbụ nwanyị ahụ mere ihe ọjọọ dị otu a, kpọpụta ya nʼọnụ ụzọ ama obodo, tụọ ya nkume, tugbuo ya.
then shall you bring out that man, or that woman, and you shall stone them with stones, and they shall die.
6 Ma otu o si dị, a gaghị eme ka onye ahụ nwụọ site naanị nʼama otu mmadụ, kama ọ ga-anwụ site nʼama mmadụ abụọ maọbụ atọ gbara.
He shall die on the testimony of two or three witnesses; a man who is put to death shall not be put to death for one witness.
7 Ndị ahụ gbara akaebe nʼisi ya ga-eburu ụzọ tụọ ya nkume, tupu mmadụ niile esoro tugbuo ya. Site nʼụzọ dị otu a, unu ga-ekpochapụ ihe ọjọọ site nʼetiti gị.
And the hand of the witnesses shall be upon him among the first to put him to death, and the hand of the people at the last; so shall you remove the evil one from among yourselves.
8 Ọ bụrụ na unu enwee okwu siri ike na mkpebi, dịka igbu ọchụ, maọbụ okwu na ụka metụtara mmadụ, maọbụ ịlụ ọgụ nke mmerụ ahụ dapụtara nʼime ya, ihe unu ga-eme bụ iweta ikpe ahụ nʼebe obibi Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị họpụtara,
And if a matter shall be too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood, and between cause and cause, and between stroke and stroke, and between contradiction and contradiction, matters of judgment in your cities;
9 nʼihu ndị nchụaja, bụ ndị Livayị na onye nọ nʼoche ikpe nʼoge ahụ ka ha gbubie ikpe ahụ.
then you shall arise and go up to the place which the Lord your God shall choose, and you shall come to the priests the Levites, and to the judge who shall be in those days, and they shall search out [the matter] and report the judgment to you.
10 Ị ga-emekwa dịka mkpebi ha nyere gị nʼebe ahụ Onyenwe anyị ga-ahọpụta. Lezie anya hụ na i mezuru ihe niile dịka ha si tụziere gị aka.
And you shall act according to the thing which they shall report to you out of the place which the Lord your God shall choose, and you shall observe to do all whatever shall have been by law appointed to you.
11 Mee dịka iwu ha ziri gị si dị, na dịka mkpebi ha nyere gị si dị. Ewezugala onwe gị site nʼokwu ha nyere gị nʼụzọ ọbụla
You shall do according to the law and to the judgment which they shall declare to you: you shall not swerve to the right hand or to the left from any sentence which they shall report to you.
12 Ma onye ahụ ledara onye nchụaja na onye ikpe ahụ a họpụtara ije ozi nye Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ga-anwụ. Unu ga-esi nʼala Izrel wezuga ihe ọjọọ dị otu ahụ.
And the man whoever shall act in haughtiness, so as not to listen to the priest who stands to minister in the name of the Lord your God, or the judge who shall preside in those days, that man shall die, and you shall remove the evil one out of Israel.
13 Nʼụzọ dị otu a, mmadụ niile ga-anụ ihe mere onye ahụ nupuru isi, ha ga-atụ egwu ghara ịbụ ndị mpako.
And all the people shall hear and fear, and shall no more commit impiety.
14 Mgbe ị banyere nʼala ahụ Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị na-enye gị, merie ndị bi nʼime ya, biri nʼime ya, i nwere ike malite iche nʼobi gị sị, “Anyị kwesiri inwe eze dịka mba ndị ọzọ niile dị anyị gburugburu.”
And when you shall enter into the land which the Lord your God gives you, and shall inherit it and dwell in it, and shall say, I will set a ruler over me, as also the other nations round about me;
15 O si otu a dịrị, lezie anya hụ na onye ị ga-eme eze bụ onye ahụ Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ga-ahọpụta. Onye ahụ aghaghị ịbụ onye Izrel nʼihi na i kwesighị ime onye mba ọzọ eze ka ọ chịa gị.
you shall surely set over you the ruler whom the Lord God shall choose: of your brethren you shall set over you a ruler; you shall not have power to set over you a stranger, because he is not your brother.
16 Hụ na eze ahụ ị họpụtara enweghị ọtụtụ ịnyịnya. Eze ahụ ekwesịkwaghị izipụ ndị ga-aga Ijipt ịzụpụtara ya ọtụtụ ịnyịnya ọzọ, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị agwala gị sị, “Ị gaghị alaghachi Ijipt ọzọ.”
For he shall not multiply to himself horses, and he shall by no means turn the people back to Egypt, lest he should multiply to himself horses; for the Lord said, You shall not any more turn back by that way.
17 Eze ahụ agaghị enwe ọtụtụ nwunye, nʼihi na nke a ga-eme ka obi ya si nʼebe Onyenwe anyị nọ pụọ. Ọ gakwaghị ababiga ụba ọlaọcha na ọlaedo oke.
And he shall not multiply to himself wives, lest his heart turn away; and he shall not greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
18 Mgbe ọ nọkwasịrị nʼocheeze dịka eze, ọ ga-esite nʼakwụkwọ iwu a ndị nchụaja bụ ndị Livayị na-edebe, depụtara onwe ya iwu a metụtara obibi ndụ ndị eze.
And when he shall be established in his government, then shall he write for himself this repetition of the law into a book by the hands of the priests the Levites;
19 Ihe ahụ o depụtara ka ọ ga-agụ mgbe niile na ndụ ya. Nke a ga-eme ka ọ mụta ịtụ egwu Onyenwe anyị Chineke ya, na ịgbaso ihe niile dị nʼiwu na ụkpụrụ ndị a.
and it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord your God, and to keep all these commandments, and to observe these ordinances:
20 Ịgụ akwụkwọ iwu a mgbe niile ga-eme ka ọ mata na o nweghị ụzọ o si dị elu karịa ụmụnna ya. Ọ ga-emekwa ka ọ ghara iwezuga onwe ya site nʼiwu a nʼụzọ ọbụla. Mgbe ahụ, ya onwe ya, na ụmụ ụmụ ya ga-achị alaeze Izrel ogologo oge.
that his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, that he depart not from the commandments on the right hand or on the left; that he and his sons may reign long in his dominion among the children of Israel.
