1 Nʼọgwụgwụ afọ asaa ọbụla, ị ga-akagbu ụgwọ niile mmadụ ji gị.
In the seventh year thou shalt make a remission,
2 Otu a ka a ga-esi mee ya: Onye ọbụla e ji ụgwọ ga-akagbu ụgwọ niile onye Izrel ibe ya ji ya. Ọ gaghị elekwa anya na onye agbataobi ya maọbụ nwanna ya ga-akwụ ya ụgwọ ahụ, nʼihi na oge a na-ekwusa mgbaghara ụgwọ Onyenwe anyị eruola.
Which shall be celebrated in this order. He to whom any thing is owing from his friend or neighbour or brother, cannot demand it again, because it is the year of remission of the Lord,
3 Mgbaghara a erughị nʼebe ndị ọbịa nọ, ma ị ghaghị ịkagbu ụgwọ ọbụla nwanna gị ji gị.
Of the foreigner or stranger thou mayst exact it: of thy countryman and neighbour thou shalt not have power to demand it again.
4 Otu ọ dị, o kwesighị ka ndị ogbenye dịrị nʼetiti gị, nʼihi nʼala ahụ Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị na-enye gị ka inweta dịka ihe nketa gị, ọ ga-agọzi gị nke ukwuu,
And there shall be no poor nor beggar among you: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in the land which he will give thee in possession.
5 ma ọ bụrụ na i rube isi nye Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị, ma lezie anya debe iwu ndị a niile m na-enye gị taa.
Yet so if thou hear the voice of the Lord thy God, and keep all things that he hath ordained, and which I command thee this day, he will bless thee, as he hath promised.
6 Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ga-agọzi gị dịka o kwere na nkwa. Ị ga-agbazinye ọtụtụ mba ego, ị gaghị anọ nʼụkọ! Ị ga-achị ọtụtụ mba, ma ha agaghị achị gị.
Thou shalt lend to many nations, and thou shalt borrow of no man. Thou shalt have dominion over very many nations, and no one shall have dominion over thee.
7 Ma mgbe ị banyere nʼala ahụ Onyenwe anyị Chineke unu na-enye gị, a sị na e nwee onye ogbenye nʼetiti gị, nke bụ onye Izrel ibe gị, ị gaghị emechi obi gị maọbụ kechie aka gị megide ya,
If one of thy brethren that dwelleth within the gates of thy city in the land which the Lord thy God will give thee, come to poverty: thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor close thy hand,
8 ị ghaghị ịgbazinye ya ihe dị ka o si chọọ.
But shalt open it to the poor man, thou shalt lend him, that which thou perceivest he hath need of.
9 Lezie anya ka ị ghara inwe ụdị echiche ọjọọ a nʼobi gị sị, “Afọ mgbaghara ụgwọ na-abịa nso,” nʼihi ya, i kechie obi gị jụ ibinye nwanna gị nọ na mkpa ihe ọ chọrọ. Ọ bụrụ na onye ahụ nọ na mkpa akwaa akwa kpọkuo Onyenwe anyị, a ga-agụ gị dịka onye ikpe mmehie mara.
Beware lest perhaps a wicked thought steal in upon thee, and thou say in thy heart: The seventh year of remission draweth nigh; and thou turn away thy eyes from thy poor brother, denying to lend him that which he asketh: lest he cry against thee to the Lord, and it become a sin unto thee.
10 Ị ghaghị inye ha site nʼafọ ofufu, meekwa nke a na-enweghị obi ilu, mgbe ahụ, nʼihi nke a, Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke gị ga-agọzi gị nʼọrụ gị niile nakwa ihe niile nke ị tinyere aka na ya.
But thou shalt give to him: neither shalt thou do any thing craftily in relieving his necessities: that the Lord thy God may bless thee at all times, and in all things to which thou shalt put thy hand.
11 A ghaghị inwe ndị ogbenye nʼetiti unu, ọ bụ ya mere iwu a jiri dị mkpa. Gbasapụ aka nʼebe nwanna gị na nʼebe ndị ogbenye na ndị nọ na mkpa nọ.
There will not be wanting poor in the land of thy habitation: therefore I command thee to open thy hand to thy needy and poor brother, that liveth in the land.
12 Ọ bụrụ na onye Hibru ibe gị, ndị nwoke maọbụ ndị nwanyị, eresi gị onwe ha, gbakwaara gị odibo afọ isii, nʼafọ nke asaa, ị ghaghị ịhapụ ha ka ha nwere onwe ha.
When thy brother a Hebrew man, or Hebrew woman is sold to thee, and hath served thee six years, in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free:
13 Mgbe ọ hapụrụ ụlọ gị, ezipụkwala ya nʼaka efu!
And when thou sendest him out free, thou shalt not let him go away empty:
14 Ị ga-esite nʼigwe anụ ụlọ gị, na nʼebe ịzọcha ọka gị, na nʼebe ịzọcha vaịnị gị, nye ya onyinye pụrụ iche iji sị ya laa nʼudo. Nye ya onyinye a dịka Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị si gọzie gị.
But shalt give him for his way out of thy flocks, and out of thy barnfloor, and thy winepress, wherewith the Lord thy God shall bless thee.
15 Cheta na ị bụrị ohu nʼala Ijipt ma Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke gị gbapụtara gị. Ọ bụ nʼihi ya ka m ji na-enye gị iwu a taa.
Remember that thou also wast a bondservant in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God made thee free, and therefore I now command thee this.
16 Ma ọ bụrụ na ohu gị asị gị, “Achọghị m ịhapụ gị,” nʼihi na ọ hụrụ gị na ndị ụlọ gị nʼanya, hụkwa na ihe na-agara gị na ya nke ọma, mgbe gị na ya nọ.
But if he say: I will not depart: because he loveth thee, and thy house, and findeth that he is well with thee:
17 Were agịga kpọpuo ntị ya nʼọnụ ụzọ ụlọ gị. Ọ ga-abụkwara gị ohu ogologo ndụ ya niile. Otu aka ahụ kwa ka ị ga-eme ohu gị nwanyị.
Thou shalt take an awl, and bore through his ear in the door of thy house, and he shall serve thee for ever: thou shalt do in like manner to thy womanservant also.
18 Enwela obi mwute mgbe ọbụla ị na-ahapụ ohu gị ka o nwere onwe ya, nʼihi na ị ga-echeta na ọ rụụrụ gị ọrụ afọ isii, ihe i mefukwara erughị ọkara ihe ị gaara eji goo ndị ọrụ. Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ga-agọzikwa gị nʼihe niile ị na-eme.
Turn not away thy eyes from them when thou makest them tree: because he hath served thee six years according to the wages of a hireling: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the works that thou dost.
19 Nwa oke ehi ọbụla maọbụ nwa atụrụ ọbụla maọbụ nwa ewu ọbụla e bụ ụzọ mụọ nʼime igwe anụ ụlọ gị ka ị ga-edo nsọ nye Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị, ejila nwa mbụ nke ehi gị e buru ụzọ mụọ arụ ọrụ ubi, akpachakwala ajị nwa ewu maọbụ nwa atụrụ ọbụla e buru ụzọ mụọ dị nʼime igwe ewu na atụrụ gị.
Of the firstlings, that come of thy herds and thy sheep, thou shalt sanctify to the Lord thy God whatsoever is of the male sex. Thou shalt not work with the firstling of a bullock, and thou shalt not shear the firstlings of thy sheep.
20 Gị na ezinaụlọ gị ga-eri anụ ndị a nʼihu Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị afọ ọbụla nʼebe ọ họpụtara.
In the sight of the Lord thy God shalt thou eat them every year, in the place that the Lord shall choose, thou and thy house.
21 Ma ọ bụrụ na nwa anụ ọbụla e buru ụzọ mụọ nwere nkwarụ, dịka ngwụrọ maọbụ ìsì maọbụ nkwarụ ọbụla nke jọrọ njọ, ị gaghị eji ya achụ aja nye Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị.
But if it have a blemish, or be lame, or blind, or in any part disfigured or feeble, it shall not be sacrificed to the Lord thy God.
22 Kama, ka ọ bụrụ ihe oriri nye ezinaụlọ gị nʼime ụlọ gị. Onye ọbụla, ma ndị dị ọcha ma onye rụrụ arụ nʼoge ahụ ga-eri ya, dịka onye ọbụla pụrụ iri anụ ele maọbụ anụ mgbada.
But thou shalt eat it within the gates of thy city: the clean and the unclean shall eat them alike, as the roe and as the hart.
23 Ma erila ọbara ya. Wụsa ya nʼala dịka mmiri.
Only thou shalt take heed not to eat their blood, but pour it out on the earth as water.
