< Daniel 10 >
1 Nʼafọ atọ nke ọchịchị Sairọs eze Peshịa, e nyere Daniel (onye aha ya bụkwa Belteshaza mkpughe). Ozi ahụ bụ eziokwu, ọ gbasakwara oke ọgbaaghara. Ọ ghọtara ozi ahụ, nwetakwa nkọwa banyere ọhụ ahụ.
In the third year of Cyrus, king of Persia, a matter, was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and faithful was the matter, but [concerned] a great warfare, and he marked the word, and had understanding in the revelation.
2 Nʼoge ahụ, mụ onwe m, bụ Daniel, ruru ụjụ izu ụka atọ.
In those days, I, Daniel, was mourning three sevens of days:
3 Erighị m nri ọma ọbụla, erikwaghị m anụ, aṅụkwaghị m mmanya, eteghị m mmanụ otite ọbụla nʼahụ m nʼime izu ụka atọ a niile.
food to delight in, did I not eat, neither flesh nor wine, came into my mouth, nor did I so much as, anoint, myself, —until were fulfilled three sevens of days.
4 Nʼụbọchị nke iri abụọ na anọ nke ọnwa mbụ nʼafọ, eguzo m nʼakụkụ osimiri ukwu ahụ, bụ Taịgris,
And, on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, —when, I, was by the side of the great river, the same, is Tigris,
5 eleliri m anya m elu, hụ nʼihu m otu nwoke yi uwe akwa ọcha, onye e kekwasịrị belịt e ji ọlaedo sitere Ụfaz mee nʼukwu ya.
then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and lo! a man, clothed in linen, —whose loins, were girded with the bright gold of Uphaz;
whose body, was like Tarshish-stone, and, his face, like the appearance of lightning, and, his eyes, were like torches of fire, and, his arms and his feet, like the look of bronze burnished, —and, the sound of his words, was like the sound of a multitude.
7 Ọ bụ naanị m Daniel hụrụ ọhụ a. Ndị mụ na ha nọ ahụghị ya, kama na mberede, e mere ka oke egwu tụọ ha, nke mere ka ha gbara ọsọ gaa zoo onwe ha.
And, I, Daniel, alone, beheld the revelation, and, the men who were with me, beheld not the revelation, —in truth, a great terror, had fallen upon them, and they had fled while hiding themselves.
8 Ọ bụkwa naanị m nọ, mgbe m hụrụ oke ọhụ a. Mgbe m hụkwara ya, ike niile dị m nʼahụ si m nʼahụ pụọ. Ihu m gbanwere nke ukwuu, ike afọdụkwaghị m nʼahụ.
I, therefore, was left alone, and beheld this great revelation, and there remained in me no strength, —but, my freshness, was turned upon me into disfigurement, and I retained no strength.
9 Mgbe ahụ, anụrụ m ụda olu ya, ma mgbe m nụrụ ụda olu ya, adara m nʼala kpudo ihu nʼala nʼọnọdụ ịda nʼoke ụra.
So then I heard the sound of his words, —and, when I heard the sound of his words, then, I myself, came to be in a deep sleep upon my face, with, my face, to the earth.
10 Ma otu aka metụrụ m, welite m mee ka m maa jijiji nʼelu ikpere m na aka m abụọ.
And lo! a hand, touched me; and roused me up on my knees and the palms of my hands.
11 Ọ sịrị m, “Daniel, gị onye a hụrụ nʼanya nke ukwuu. Gee ntị tuleekwa nke ọma okwu niile m na-agwa gị ugbu a. Guzo nʼụkwụ gị abụọ, nʼihi na e zitere m ịbịakwute gị.” Mgbe ọ na-agwa m okwu a, eguzooro m ọtọ, na-ama jijiji.
Then said he unto me, O Daniel! man greatly delighted in! have understanding in the words which, I, am about to speak unto thee, and stand up where thou art, for, now, have I been sent unto thee. And, when he had spoken with me this word, I stood up trembling.
12 Ọ sịrị m, “Egwu atụla gị, Daniel. Nʼihi na site nʼụbọchị mbụ i kpebiri inwe nghọta na iweda onwe gị ala nʼihu Chineke gị, ka a nụrụ okwu gị niile, a bịakwara m nʼihi ọsịsa ha.
Then said he unto me, Do not fear, Daniel, for, from the first day that thou didst set thy heart to understand and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words were heard; and, I, am come, by reason of thy words.
13 Ma onyeisi ndị na-achị alaeze Peshịa gbochiri m, kemgbe iri ụbọchị abụọ na otu. Ya mere, Maikel, otu nʼime ndịisi ọchịchị bịara nyere m aka, nʼihi na mụ onwe m fọdụrụ nʼebe ahụ mụ na eze Peshịa.
But, the ruler of the kingdom of Persia, withstood me twenty-one days, but lo! Michael, one of the chief rulers, came in to help me, —and, I, left him there, beside the kings of Persia.
14 Ugbu a, abịala m ime ka ị ghọta ihe ga-adakwasị ndị gị nʼoge ikpeazụ nʼụbọchị dị nʼihu. Nʼihi na ọhụ ndị a dịrị oge ndị na-abịa nʼihu.”
So then I am come to let thee understand that which shall befall thy people in the afterpart of the days, —for yet is the vision for [those] days.
15 Mgbe ọ na-agwa m okwu ndị a, ekpunyere m ihu m nʼala enwekwaghị m ike ikwu okwu ọbụla.
And, when he had spoken with me such words as these, —I set my face towards the earth, and was dumb.
16 Mgbe ahụ, otu onye, nke yiri mmadụ, bịara metụ egbugbere ọnụ m aka, mee ka m nwee ike ikwukwa okwu ọzọ. Mgbe ahụ agwara m onye ahụ nke guzo m nʼihu, “Anọ m nʼoke ihe mgbu; Onyenwe m, enwekwaghị m ike ọbụla, nʼihi ọhụ m hụrụ.
Then lo! like the similitude of the sons of men, one was touching my lips, —so I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him who was standing before me, O my lord! By the revelation, my pains have seized me, and I retain no strength.
17 Olee otu mụ bụ ohu gị ga-esi gwa gị okwu, Onyenwe m? Nʼihi na ike adịghịkwa nʼime m, enwekwaghị m ike iku ume.”
How then can the servant of this my lord speak with this my lord, —seeing that, as for me—henceforth, there remaineth in me no strength, and no, spirit, is left in me?
18 Mgbe ahụ, otu onye yiri mmadụ bịara metụkwa m aka ọzọ nye m ike.
Then again there touched me one like in appearance to a son of earth, and he strengthened me.
19 Ọ sịrị, “Onye a hụrụ nʼanya nke ukwu, atụkwala ụjọ, udo dịrị gị, ya mere dịrị ike, obi sie gị ike.” Mgbe ọ gwara m okwu a, ike m lọghachitere, asịrị m, “Ka onyenwe m kwuo okwu, ebe i nyeghachila m ike.”
And he said, Do not fear, O man greatly delighted in! peace to thee, be strong, yea be strong! And, as he spake with me, I gained strength, and said, Let my lord speak, for thou hast strengthened me.
20 Mgbe ahụ, ọ sịrị, “Ị maara ihe mere m ji bịakwute gị? Aga m alaghachi azụ ịlụso onyeisi na-achị alaeze Peshịa ọgụ, mgbe mụ ga-apụ, eze na-achị Griis ga-abịa;
And he said, Knowest thou wherefore I am come unto thee? But, now, must I return to fight with the ruler of Persia; I, therefore am going forth, and lo! the ruler of Greece, is coming.
21 ma otu ọ dị, aga m agwa gị ihe e dere nʼakwụkwọ nke eziokwu. (Ọ dịghị onye na-enyere m aka imegide ha ma ọ bụghị naanị Maikel onyeisi unu.
Howbeit I will tell thee that which is inscribed in the writing of truth, —but there is no one who holdeth strongly with me concerning these things, save Michael your ruler.
