This letter comes from Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians who belong to God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Ka amara na udo nke sitere na Chineke Nna anyị, na Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst dịrị unu.
May you have grace and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Ụmụnna, anyị aghaghị ikele Chineke ekele mgbe niile banyere unu. O kwesiri ka anyị mee otu a, nʼihi okwukwe unu na-abawanye. Ịhụnanya onye ọbụla nʼime unu nwere nʼebe ibe ya nọ na-abawanyekwa.
We keep on thanking God for you, brothers and sisters—we just have to! This is the right thing to do because your trust in God is growing in leaps and bounds, and the love you all have for each other increases more and more.
4 Nʼihi nke a, anyị na-eji unu na-anya isi nʼetiti nzukọ Chineke niile. Anyị na-akọrọ ha otu unu si jiri ntachiobi nọgidesie ike nʼime nsogbu niile dakwasịrị unu, na otu unu si nwee okwukwe dị ukwuu, ọ bụladị nʼetiti oke mkpagbu a na-akpagbu unu.
We speak so proudly of you among the churches of God because of your patient courage and trust in God during all the persecution and trouble you're going through.
5 Ihe ndị a niile na-egosi na ikpe Chineke bụ nke ziri ezi, nke e ji eme unu ndị kwesiri alaeze Chineke, nke unu na-ata ahụhụ nʼihi ya.
For this is evidence that God is right in the decisions he makes, and that you deserve the kingdom of God for which you are suffering.
6 Chineke bụ onye ezi omume nʼezie. Ọ ga-eji mkpagbu kwụghachi ndị na-akpagbu unu.
Since God does what's right he will deal appropriately with those who cause you trouble.
7 Ọ ga-enyekwa unu bụ ndị a na-akpagbu na anyị onwe anyị ezumike. Ọ ga-eme nke a mgbe a ga-eme ka Onyenwe anyị Jisọs ya na ndị mmụọ ozi si nʼeluigwe pụta ìhè.
He will free you from your suffering—and us too—when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels,
8 Ọ ga-abịa nʼụdị ire ọkụ taa ndị ahụ na-amaghị Chineke ahụhụ na ndị jụrụ ịnabata oziọma nke Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst.
bringing judgment on those who reject God and refuse to accept the good news of our Lord Jesus.
9 Ndị a ga-ata ahụhụ mbibi ruo ebighị ebi, ebe ha na-agaghị ahụ ihu Onyenwe anyị na ebube nke ike ya, (aiōnios )
They will rightly experience the consequence of eternal loss, separated from the presence of the Lord and his glorious power, (aiōnios )
10 nʼụbọchị ahụ ọ ga-abịa ịnara ịja mma na otuto, nʼime ndị nsọ ya, ya na ka ọ bụrụ ihe ịtụnanya nʼebe ndị kweerenụ nọ, nʼihi na unu kwenyere ama nke oziọma ahụ anyị gbaara unu.
on the day when he comes to receive glory from his people, admired by all those who trust in him. This includes you because you were convinced about what we told you.
11 Nʼihi nke a, anyị na-anọgide nʼekpere nʼihi unu, na-arịọ ka Chineke gụọ unu dịka ndị kwesiri ọkpụkpọ ọ kpọrọ unu, na-arịọkwa ka o site nʼike ya mee ka unu mezuo ebumnobi nke ihe dị mma, na ezi ọrụ niile nke okwukwe.
That's why we continue to pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of what he's called us to do. May God powerfully fulfill every desire you have to do good and every action that comes from trusting him
12 Ka e nye aha Onyenwe anyị Jisọs otuto nʼime unu, unu onwe unu nʼime ya kwa, dị ka amara nke Chineke anyị na nke Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst si dị.
so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be honored by what you do—and in turn you are honored by him through the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
