< 2 Samuel 22 >
1 Devid buuru Onyenwe anyị okwu niile nke abụ a mgbe Onyenwe anyị napụtara ya site nʼaka ndị iro ya niile, nakwa nʼaka Sọl.
And David made a song to the Lord in these words, on the day when the Lord made him free from the hands of all his haters, and from the hand of Saul:
2 Ọ sịrị: “Onyenwe anyị bụ oke nkume m. Ọ bụ ebe mgbaba m e wusiri ike, na onye nnapụta m.
And he said, The Lord is my Rock, my walled town, and my saviour, even mine;
3 Chineke m bụ oke nkume m, onye m gbabara nʼime ya. Ọ bụ ọta m, na mpi nzọpụta m. Ya bụ oke nkume m nke onye ọbụla na-apụghị ịba nʼime ya, ebe mgbaba m, na onye nzọpụta m, site nʼaka ndị na-eme ihe ike.
My God, my Rock, in him will I put my faith; my breastplate, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my safe place; my saviour, who keeps me safe from the violent man.
4 “Akpọkuru m Onyenwe anyị; onye e kwesiri inye otuto. Azọpụtara m site nʼaka ndị iro m.
I will send up my cry to the Lord, who is to be praised; so will I be made safe from those who are against me.
5 Ebili mmiri nke ọnwụ gbara m gburugburu; Ịchị ọkụ nke mbibi ọjọọ kpuchiri m.
For the waves of death came round me, and the seas of evil put me in fear;
6 Ụdọ niile nke ili kere m agbụ, Ọnya nke ọnwụ guzogidere m. (Sheol )
The cords of hell were round me: the nets of death came on me. (Sheol )
7 “Nʼọnọdụ oke mkpagbu m, akpọkuru m Onyenwe anyị, akpọkuru m Chineke m. Akwa m ruru ya ntị. O sitekwara nʼụlọnsọ ukwu ya nụ olu m.
In my trouble my voice went up to the Lord, and my cry to my God: my voice came to his hearing in his holy Temple, and my prayer came to his ears.
8 Ụwa mere mkpọtụ maa jijiji, ntọala eluigwe makwara jijiji, ha mara jijiji nʼihi iwe nke na-ewe ya.
Then the earth was moved with a violent shock; the bases of heaven were moved and shaking, because he was angry.
9 Anwụrụ ọkụ sitere ya nʼimi pụta; Ọkụ na-erepịa erepịa sikwa nʼọnụ ya pụta. Icheku ọkụ na-ere ọkụ sitekwara nʼebe ahụ nwupụta.
There went up a smoke from his nose, and a fire of destruction from his mouth: coals were lighted by it.
10 O kewara mbara eluigwe, rịdata; oke igwe ojii dịkwa nʼokpuru ụkwụ ya.
The heavens were bent, so that he might come down; and it was dark under his feet.
11 Ọ nọkwasịrị nʼelu cherubim felie elu, O feliri elu nʼelu nku nke ifufe.
And he went through the air, seated on a storm-cloud: going quickly on the wings of the wind.
12 O mere ọchịchịrị ihe mkpuchi nke gbara ya gburugburu, bụ ọchịchịrị mmiri igwe ojii nke mbara eluigwe.
And he made the dark his tent round him, a mass of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
13 Site nʼìhè nke na-enwupụta nʼahụ ya, amụma egbe eluigwe nwupụtara ire ọkụ.
Before his shining light his dark clouds went past, raining ice and coals of fire.
14 Onyenwe anyị sitere nʼeluigwe bigbọọ. Olu Onye kachasị ihe niile elu dara ụda.
The Lord made thunder in the heavens, and the voice of the Highest was sounding out.
15 Ọ gbara àkụ ya, mee ka ndị iro gbasasịa. O jikwa oke amụma nke egbe eluigwe chụsaa ha.
And he sent out his arrows, driving them in all directions; by his flames of fire they were troubled.
16 E kpughere ala ala nke oke osimiri. Gbakwa ntọala niile nke ụwa ọtọ, site nʼịba mba nke Onyenwe anyị, na nkuume si nʼimi ya pụta.
Then the deep beds of the sea were seen, and the bases of the world were uncovered, because of the Lord's wrath, because of the breath of his mouth.
17 “O sitere nʼelu setịpụ aka ya, jidesie m aka ike, ọ dọpụtara m site nʼogbu mmiri niile.
He sent from on high, he took me, pulling me out of great waters.
18 Ọ napụtara m site nʼaka ndị iro m dị ike, bụ ndị kpọrọ m asị, ndị dịkwa ike karịa m.
He made me free from my strong hater, from those who were against me, because they were stronger than I.
19 Ha guzogidere m nʼụbọchị ihe ndakwasị m. Ma Onyenwe anyị bụrụ m ihe ndabere.
They came on me in the day of my trouble: but the Lord was my support.
20 Ọ kpọpụtara m gaa nʼebe sara mbara, Ọ napụtara m nʼihi na ihe m na-atọ ya ụtọ.
He took me out into a wide place; he was my saviour because he had delight in me.
21 “Onyenwe anyị mesoro m dịka ezi omume m si dị, Ọ kwụghachiri m dịka ịdị ọcha nke aka m si dị.
The Lord gives me the reward of my righteousness, because my hands are clean before him.
22 Nʼihi na edebezuola m ụzọ niile nke Onyenwe anyị; ikpe amaghị m nʼihi ịgbakụta Chineke azụ.
For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not been turned away in sin from my God.
23 Iwu ya niile dị nʼihu m, esibekwaghị m nʼụkpụrụ ya wezuga onwe m.
For all his decisions were before me, and I did not put away his laws from me.
24 Abụ m onye na-enweghị ịta ụta nʼihu ya, edebekwara m onwe m pụọ na mmehie.
And I was upright before him, and I kept myself from sin.
25 Onyenwe anyị kwụghachiri m dịka ezi omume m si dị, dịka ịdị ọcha m si dị nʼanya ya.
Because of this the Lord has given me the reward of my righteousness, because my hands are clean in his eyes.
26 “Nʼebe onye kwesiri ntụkwasị obi nọ, i na-egosi onwe gị onye kwesiri ntụkwasị obi, nʼebe onye zuruoke nọ, ị na-egosi onwe gị onye zuruoke.
On him who has mercy you will have mercy; to the upright you will be upright;
27 Nʼebe onye dị ọcha nọ, ị na-egosi onwe gị onye dị ọcha, ma nye ndị ụzọ ha na-ezighị ezi, Ị na-egosi onwe gị dịka onye dị aghụghọ.
He who is holy will see that you are holy; but to the man whose way is not straight you will be a hard judge.
28 Ị na-azọpụta ndị dị umeala nʼobi, ma anya gị dị nʼahụ ndị mpako, I mee ka ha dị ala.
For you are the saviour of those who are in trouble; but your eyes are on men of pride, to make them low.
29 Ọ bụ gị, Onyenwe anyị, bụ oriọna m, Onyenwe anyị na-eme ka ọchịchịrị m ghọọ ìhè.
For you are my light, O Lord; and the Lord will make the dark bright for me.
30 Site nʼinyeaka gị, apụrụ m ịlụso igwe ndị agha ọgụ; sitekwa na Chineke m apụkwara m ịwụfe mgbidi ọbụla.
By your help I have made a way through the wall which was shutting me in: by the help of my God I have gone over a wall.
31 “Ma banyere Chineke, ụzọ ya zuruoke; okwu ọnụ Onyenwe anyị bụ ihe a nụchara anụcha. Ọ bụ ọta nke onye ọbụla na-ezo onwe ya nʼokpuru ya.
As for God, his way is all good: the word of the Lord is tested; he is a safe cover for all those who put their faith in him.
32 Nʼihi na onye bụ Chineke, ma ọ bụghị naanị Onyenwe anyị? Onye bụkwa Oke Nkume ahụ, ma ọ bụghị naanị Chineke?
For who is God but the Lord? and who is a Rock but our God?
33 Ọ bụ Chineke na-enye m ike, na-echebekwa ụzọ m nʼizuoke.
God puts a strong band about me, guiding me in a straight way.
34 Ọ na-eme ka ụkwụ m dị gara gara, dịka nke nne ele Ọ na-emekwa ka m kwụrụ chịm nʼebe niile dị elu.
He makes my feet like roes' feet, and puts me on high places.
35 Ọ na-azụ aka m abụọ ibu agha, ogwe aka m abụọ pụrụ ịrọji ụta bronz.
He makes my hands expert in war, so that a bow of brass is bent by my arms.
36 Ị na-eme ka inyeaka nke nzọpụta gị bụrụ ọta m, inyeaka gị emeela m ka m dị ukwuu.
You have given me the breastplate of your salvation, and your mercy has made me great.
37 Ị na-edozi ụzọ sara mbara nye ụkwụ. Ka nkwonkwo ụkwụ m ghara ịgbụchapụ.
You have made my steps wide under me, so that my feet make no slip.
38 “Achụrụ m ndị iro m ọsọ, kpochapụ ha. Alaghachighị m azụ tutu ruo mgbe ha niile lara nʼiyi.
I go after my haters and overtake them; not turning back till they are all overcome.
39 Etidara m ha nʼala kpamkpam. Ha enwekwaghị ike ibilite. Ha dara nʼokpuru ụkwụ m abụọ.
I have sent destruction on them and given them wounds, so that they are not able to get up: they are stretched under my feet.
40 Ọ bụ gị nyere m ike ibu agha. I wedara ndị niile na-emegide m nʼala nʼihu m.
For I have been armed by you with strength for the fight: you have made low under me those who came out against me.
41 I meela ka ndị iro m tụgharịa gbalaga. Ebibiekwala m ha niile.
By you their backs are turned in flight, so that my haters are cut off.
42 Ha bere akwa maka enyemaka, ma ọ dịghị onye na-azọpụta ha. Ha kpọkuru Onyenwe anyị, ma ọ zaghị ha.
They were crying out, but there was no one to come to their help: even to the Lord, but he gave them no answer.
43 Egwepịara m ha nke ọma, mee ka ha dịrị ka ntụ nke ala. Asụrụ m ha akwụ, zọtọọ ha dịka apịtị nke okporoụzọ.
Then they were crushed as small as the dust of the earth, stamped down under my feet like the waste of the streets.
44 “Ị napụtala m site nʼaka ndị niile na-alụso m ọgụ. Ị chebere m dịka onyeisi nke ọtụtụ mba. Ndị m na-amaghị na mbụ na-ejekwara m ozi.
You have made me free from the fightings of my people; you have made me the head of the nations: a people of whom I had no knowledge will be my servants.
45 Ndị ala ọzọ na-ehulata nʼihu m nʼihi egwu, ngwangwa ha nụrụ olu m, ha na-erube isi nye m.
Men of other countries will, with false hearts, put themselves under my authority: from the time when my name comes to their ears, they will be ruled by me.
46 Obi na-ada ha mba. Ha na-ama jijiji mgbe ha na-esite nʼebe niile ha e wusiri ike na-apụta.
They will be wasted away, they will come out of their secret places shaking with fear.
47 “Onyenwe anyị na-adị ndụ. Otuto dịrị oke nkume m. Mbuli elu dịrị Chineke m, bụ oke nkume ahụ, Onye nzọpụta m.
The Lord is living; praise be to my Rock, and let the God of my salvation be honoured:
48 Ọ bụ Chineke ahụ, onye na-abọrọ m ọbọ. Onye na-emekwa ka mba dị iche iche nọrọ nʼokpuru m.
It is God who sends punishment on my haters, and puts peoples under my rule.
49 Onye na-anapụta m site nʼaka ndị iro m. I mere ka m dị elu karịa ndị iro m. Napụtakwa m site nʼaka nwoke na-eme ihe ike.
He makes me free from my haters: I am lifted up over those who come up against me: you have made me free from the violent man.
50 Nʼihi nke a, Onyenwe anyị, aga m eto gị nʼetiti mba niile dị iche iche. Aga m abụku aha gị abụ otuto.
Because of this I will give you praise, O Lord, among the nations, and will make a song of praise to your name.
51 “Chineke na-enye eze ya mmeri dị ukwuu. Ọ na-egosikwa onye ya o tere mmanụ obi ebere. Ihe ndị a ka ọ na-emere Devid na ụmụ ụmụ ya, ruo mgbe niile ebighị ebi.”
Great salvation does he give to his king; he has mercy on the king of his selection, David, and on his seed for ever.
