< 2 Ndị Eze 23 >

1 Mgbe ahụ, eze zigara ozi kpọkọta ndị okenye Juda na Jerusalem.
And the king sent, and they gathered to him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.
And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD.
And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all [their] heart and all [their] soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.
4 Eze nyere Hilkaya onyeisi nchụaja na ndị nchụaja na-esote nʼọkwa, na ndị na-eche ọnụ ụzọ mbata, iwu ka ha site nʼụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị kwapụtasịa ngwongwo niile e mere nye Baal, na Ashera, na usuu ihe niile nke mbara eluigwe. O sunyere ha niile ọkụ nʼazụ Jerusalem, nʼọhịa dị na Ndagwurugwu Kidrọn, buru ntụ ha bulaa Betel.
And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them to Beth-el.
5 Ọ chụdara ndị nchụaja arụsị ndị ahụ niile, bụ ndị eze Juda họpụtara isure ihe na-esi isi ụtọ nʼelu ebe dị elu nke obodo Juda nakwa ebe dị ọkụ. Nʼihi na ndị nchụaja ndị a achụọla aja, surekwaa ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ nʼebe ịchụ aja dị nʼelu ugwu niile dị nʼobodo dị iche iche na Juda, nakwa ndị dị gburugburu Jerusalem. Ha bụ ndị surere ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ nye Baal, na anyanwụ, ọnwa na kpakpando, nyekwa usuu niile nke mbara eluigwe.
And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places around Jerusalem; them also that burned incense to Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.
6 O sikwa nʼụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị bupụ ogidi chi Ashera, wezuga ya nʼazụ Jerusalem, na Ndagwurugwu Kidrọn. Ebe ahụ ka ọ nọ suo ya ọkụ, supịa ya ka ọ ghọọ ntụ, fesaa ya nʼebe a na-eli ndị mmadụ efu.
And he brought out the grove from the house of the LORD, without Jerusalem, to the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped [it] small to powder, and cast the powder of it upon the graves of the children of the people.
7 Ọ kwadakwara ụlọ obibi ụmụ ndị ikom na-agba akwụna dị nọ nʼụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị. Nʼebe ndị inyom na-anọ na-akpara Ashera akwa.
And he broke down the houses of the sodomites that [were] by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.
8 O mere ka ndị nchụaja niile site nʼobodo Juda niile bịa, o merụkwara ebe ịchụ aja niile nke dị elu, site na Geba ruo Bịasheba, ebe ndị nchụaja ndị a nọrọ suree ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ. Ọ kwatụrụ ọnụ ụzọ ama nke dị nʼebe ọnụ ụzọ ama Joshua, onye bụ gọvanọ obodo, nke dị nʼakụkụ aka ekpe nke ọnụ ụzọ ama obodo.
And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burnt incense, from Geba to Beer-sheba, and broke down the high places of the gates that [were] in the entrance of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which [were] on a man's left hand at the gate of the city.
9 Ma e kweghị ka ndị nchụaja ahụ jee ozi nʼụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị dị na Jerusalem, ma o nyere ha ike iso ndị nchụaja ndị ọzọ rie achịcha a na-ejighị ihe na-eko achịcha mee.
Nevertheless, the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, but they ate of the unleavened bread among their brethren.
10 Josaya merụrụ Tofet, laa ya nʼiyi. Tofet bụ ebe ịchụ aja dị na Ndagwurugwu nke Ben Hinom. O mere nke a igbochi mmadụ ọbụla iji nwa ya nwoke, maọbụ nwa ya nwanyị chụọrọ chi Molek aja nsure ọkụ.
And he defiled Topheth, which [is] in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.
11 O sitere nʼọnụ ụzọ ụlọnsọ ukwu Onyenwe anyị wepụ ịnyịnya ndị ahụ ndị eze Juda doro nsọ nye anyanwụ. Ịnyịnya ndị a dị nʼogige ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị nʼebe dị nso nʼụlọ onyeozi aha ya bụ Netan-Melek. Josaya kpọrọ ụgbọ agha ndị a niile e doro nsọ nye anyanwụ ọkụ.
And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entrance of the house of the LORD, by the chamber of Nathan-melech the chamberlain, which [was] in the suburbs, and burned the chariots of the sun with fire.
12 Josaya kwadara ebe ịchụ aja niile nke ndị eze Juda wukwasịrị nʼelu ụlọeze, nʼelu elu ụlọ Ehaz. Ọ kwadakwara ebe ịchụ aja niile nke Manase wuru nʼime ogige abụọ nke ụlọnsọ ukwu Onyenwe anyị, kporo ha kpofuo nʼime Ndagwurugwu Kidrọn.
And the altars that [were] on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the LORD, did the king beat down, and broke [them] down from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brook Kidron.
13 Eze merụkwara ebe ịchụ aja niile dị nʼakụkụ ọwụwa anyanwụ obodo Jerusalem nʼakụkụ ndịda nke Ugwu Mbibi, nke Solomọn eze Izrel wuru nye chi Ashtọret, ihe arụ ndị Saịdọn, na chi Kemosh, ihe arụ ndị Moab, na chi Molek, ihe arụ ụmụ Amọn.
And the high places that [were] before Jerusalem, which [were] on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile.
14 Josaya kwadakwara ogidi nkume niile, gbutuo ihe arụsị Ashera niile, werekwa ọkpụkpụ ndị mmadụ wụsa nʼelu ala ahụ niile.
And he broke in pieces the images, and cut down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men.
15 Josaya kwadakwara ogidi niile dị na Betel, nke Jeroboam nwa Nebat wuru mgbe o dubara ndị Izrel na mmehie. Ọ kwadara ebe ịchụ aja dị nʼebe ahụ, kụjisie nkume e doro nʼebe ahụ, gwerie ha dịka ntụ. Ọ kpọkwara arụsị Ashera ọkụ.
Moreover, the altar that [was] at Beth-el, [and] the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he broke down, and burned the high place, [and] stamped [it] small to powder, and burned the grove.
16 Josaya legharịkwara anya gburugburu hụ ọtụtụ ili dị nʼelu ugwu. O ziri ndị ohu ya ka ha gaa chịpụtasịa ọkpụkpụ dị nʼili ahụ niile, kpọọ ha ọkụ nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja imerụ ya, dịka okwu Onyenwe anyị si dị, nke onye nke Chineke kwupụtara mgbe o buru amụma banyere ihe ndị a.
And as Josiah turned himself, he espied the sepulchers that [were] there on the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchers, and burned [them] upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.
17 Josaya jụrụ ndị guzo nʼebe ahụ ajụjụ sị, “Ọ bụ ili onye bụ nke a?” Ndị ikom obodo ahụ zara sị, “Ọ bụ ili onye nke Chineke ahụ si Juda bịa buo amụma megide ebe ịchụ aja Betel. O buru amụma na ihe ndị a ị na-eme ebe ịchụ aja a ga-emezu.”
Then he said, What title [is] that which I see? And the men of the city told him, [It is] the sepulcher of the man of God, who came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Beth-el.
And he said, Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.
19 Dịka o mere na Betel, otu a ka Josaya wepụrụ ma merụkwaa ebe ịchụ aja niile dị nʼebe niile dị elu nke ndị eze Izrel wuru nʼobodo niile nke Sameria, bụ ebe ịchụ aja kpasuru Onyenwe anyị iwe.
And all the houses also of the high places that [were] in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke [the LORD] to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Beth-el.
Mgbe o mesịrị ihe ndị a, ọ laghachiri na Jerusalem.
And he slew all the priests of the high places, that [were] there upon the altars, and burnt men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.
21 Eze nyere ndị Juda niile iwu sị ha, “Meerenụ Onyenwe anyị Chineke unu Mmemme Ngabiga, dịka e dere ya nʼakwụkwọ ọgbụgba ndụ a.”
And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover to the LORD your God, as [it is] written in the book of this covenant.
22 O nwebeghị mgbe e mere ụdị Mmemme Ngabiga dịka nke a nʼoge ọbụla, site nʼụbọchị ndị ikpe bụ ndị duru Izrel maọbụ nʼụbọchị ndị eze Izrel na eze niile chịrị Juda, ọ dịghị nke yiri Mmemme Ngabiga a.
Surely there was not held such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah.
23 Ma ọ bụ nʼafọ nke iri na asatọ nke ọchịchị eze Josaya, nʼime Jerusalem ka a nọ mee Mmemme Ngabiga a nye Onyenwe anyị.
But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, [in which] this passover was held to the LORD in Jerusalem.
24 Ọzọkwa, Josaya gara nʼihu kpochapụ ndị niile na-ajụta mmụọ ọjọọ ase, na ndị dibịa afa, na arụsị ezinaụlọ dị iche iche, na arụsị a pịrị apị, na ihe arụ niile nke a hụrụ nʼime Juda na Jerusalem niile. O mere nke a ka e mezuo ihe niile e dere nʼime akwụkwọ ahụ Hilkaya onye nchụaja chọtara nʼụlọ Onyenwe anyị.
Moreover the [workers with] familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.
And like him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there [any] like him.
26 Ma ihe ndị a emeghị ka iwe ọkụ Onyenwe anyị na-ewe megide Juda dajụọ, bụ iwe a kpasuru ya nʼihi ihe ọjọọ niile nke Manase mere.
Notwithstanding, the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, with which his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations by which Manasseh had provoked him.
27 Ya mere, Onyenwe anyị sịrị, “Aga m ekpochapụ Juda niile site nʼihu m, dịka m si kpochapụ Izrel niile. Aga m ajụkwa obodo ahụ m họpụtara, bụ Jerusalem, jụkwa ụlọnsọ ukwu a nke m kwuru banyere ya sị, ‘Nʼime ya ka Aha m ga-adị.’”
And the LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will reject this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.
28 Ma banyere ihe ndị ọzọ niile mere nʼoge ọchịchị Josaya na ihe niile o mere, ọ bụ na e deghị ha nʼakwụkwọ akụkọ ihe mere nʼoge ndị eze Juda?
Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
In his days Pharaoh-nechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.
And his servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own sepulcher. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah and anointed him, and made him king in his father's stead.
Aha nne ya bụ Hamutal, nwa Jeremaya onye Libna.
Jehoahaz [was] twenty and three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. And his mother's name [was] Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
32 O mere ihe dị njọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị dịka ndị eze buru ya ụzọ.
And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.
And Pharaoh-nechoh put him in bands at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and subjected the land to a tribute of a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.
34 Fero Neko mere Eliakịm nwa nwoke Josaya, eze, nʼọnọdụ Josaya bụ nna ya. Ọ gụgharịrị aha Eliakịm ka ọ bụrụ Jehoiakim. Ma o duuru Jehoahaz gaa Ijipt, ebe ọ nọ nwụọ.
And Pharaoh-nechoh made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the room of Josiah his father, and turned his name to Jehoiakim, and took Jehoahaz away: and he came to Egypt and died there.
And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold from the people of the land, from every one according to his taxation, to give [it] to Pharaoh-nechoh.
36 Jehoiakim gbara iri afọ abụọ na ise mgbe ọ malitere ịbụ eze. Ọ chịrị afọ iri na otu na Jerusalem. Aha nne ya bụ Zebida nwa Pedaya, onye Ruma.
Jehoiakim [was] twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name [was] Zebudah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.
And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.
