< 2 Ndị Eze 19 >
1 Mgbe eze Hezekaya, nụrụ nke a, ọ dọwara uwe ya, yikwasị akwa mkpe, baa nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwu Onyenwe anyị.
And when King Hezekiah heard it, he rent his clothes and put on sackecloth, and came into the house of the Lord,
2 O zipụrụ Eliakịm onye nlekọta ụlọeze, Shebna ode akwụkwọ eze na ndị okenye nʼetiti ndị nchụaja, bụ ndị yikwa akwa mkpe, ka ha jekwuru Aịzaya onye amụma, nwa Emọz.
And sent Eliakim which was the stewarde of the house, and Shebnah the chanceller, and the Elders of the Priestes clothed in sackecloth to Isaiah the Prophet the sonne of Amoz.
And they said vnto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of tribulation and of rebuke, and blasphemie: for the childre are come to the birth, and there is no strength to bring foorth.
4 Ma eleghị anya Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị, ga-anụ okwu ahụ niile nke Rabashaka bụ ọchịagha, onye nna ya ukwu bụ eze Asịrịa, zitere ịkwa Chineke dị ndụ emo. Eleghị anya Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ga-abara ya mba nʼihi okwu ndị a niile o kwuru, bụ ndị ọ nụrụ. Ya mere, kpeere anyị ekpere, anyị bụ ndị fọdụrụ ndụ.”
If so be the Lord thy God hath heard all the wordes of Rabshakeh, whome the King of Asshur his master hath sent to raile on the liuing God, and to reproch him with wordes which the Lord thy God hath heard, then lift thou vp thy prayer for the remnant that are left.
5 Mgbe ndị ozi eze Hezekaya bịakwutere Aịzaya,
So the seruants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
6 ọ sịrị ha, “Otu a ka unu ga-asị nna unu ukwu, ‘Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, Atụla egwu nʼihi okwu niile nke ị nụrụ, bụ nke ndị na-ejere eze Asịrịa ozi ji kwuluo m.
And Isaiah said vnto them, So shall ye say to your master, Thus sayeth the Lord, Be not afraide of the words which thou hast heard, wherewith the seruants of the king of Asshur haue blasphemed me.
7 Gee ntị, mgbe ọ nụrụ akụkọ dị aṅaa, aga m eme ka ọ chọọ ịlaghachi nʼobodo nke aka ya. Nʼebe ahụ ka m ga-emekwa ka e jiri mma agha gbuo ya.’”
Beholde, I will sende a blast vpon him, and he shall heare a noyse, and returne to his owne lande: and I will cause him to fall by the sworde in his owne lande.
8 Mgbe ọchịagha ahụ nụrụ na eze Asịrịa e sitela nʼobodo Lakish pụa, ọ laghachiri hụ na eze Asịrịa na-ebuso obodo Libna agha.
So Rabshakeh returned, and founde the King of Asshur fighting against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.
He heard also men say of Tirhakah King of Ethiopia, Beholde, he is come out to fight against thee: he therefore departed and sent other messengers vnto Hezekiah, saying,
10 “Gwanụ Hezekaya, eze Juda, Ekwela ka Chineke onye ị na-atụkwasị obi duhie gị, mgbe ọ na-asị, ‘Agaghị enyefe Jerusalem nʼaka eze Asịrịa.’
Thus shall ye speake to Hezekiah King of Iudah, and say, Let not thy God deceiue thee in whome thou trustest, saying, Ierusalem shall not be deliuered into the hande of the King of Asshur.
Beholde, thou hast heard what the Kings of Asshur haue done to all landes, how they haue destroyed them: and shalt thou be deliuered?
12 Chi niile nke mba niile ndị ahụ nna nna m ha lara nʼiyi, ha napụtara ha, bụ chi ndị Gozan, Haran, Rezef na nke ndị Eden, ndị nọ na Tel Asa?
Haue the gods of the heathen deliuered them which my fathers haue destroyed? as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden, which were in Thelasar?
13 Olee ebe eze ndị Hamat maọbụ eze Apad nọ? Olee ebe eze obodo Lair, Sefavaim, Hena na Iva nọkwa?”
Where is the King of Hamath, and the King of Arpad, and the King of the citie of Shepharuaim, Hena and Iuah?
14 Mgbe Hezekaya natara akwụkwọ ozi a site nʼaka ndị ozi ahụ, gụọ ya, o weere ya gaa nʼime ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị, gbasaa ya nʼihu Onyenwe anyị.
So Hezekiah receiued the letter of the hande of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went vp into the house of the Lord, and Hezekiah spread it before the Lord.
15 Hezekaya kpere ekpere nye Onyenwe anyị, sị, “O, Onyenwe anyị, Chineke nke Izrel, onye ocheeze ya dị nʼetiti ndị cherubim, naanị gị bụ Chineke na-achị alaeze niile nke ụwa. Ọ bụkwa naanị gị kere eluigwe na ụwa.
And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and saide, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest betweene the Cherubims, thou art very God alone ouer all the kingdomes of the earth: thou hast made the heauen and the earth.
16 Tọọ ntị gị nʼala, o Onyenwe anyị ma nụrụ; meghee anya gị abụọ Onyenwe anyị, ka ịhụ; gee ntị nụkwa okwu ndị ahụ Senakerib zitere, nke o ji ekwulu Chineke dị ndụ.
Lord, bow downe thine eare, and heare: Lord open thine eyes and behold, and heare the wordes of Saneherib, who hath sent to blaspheme the liuing God.
17 “Nʼeziokwu, Onyenwe anyị, ndị eze Asịrịa alala mba niile a dị iche iche na ala ha nʼiyi, mee ka ha tọgbọrọ nʼefu.
Trueth it is, Lord, that the Kings of Asshur haue destroyed the nations and their landes,
18 Ha atụnyekwala chi ha niile nʼime ọkụ, repịakwa ha, nʼihi na ọ bụghị chi ka ha bụ, kama ha bụ naanị ihe a kpụrụ akpụ, nke mmadụ ji osisi na nkume pịa.
And haue set fire on their gods: for they were no gods, but the worke of mans hands, euen wood and stone: therefore they destroyed them.
19 Ugbu a, Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị, biko, zọpụta anyị site nʼaka ya, ka alaeze niile nke ụwa mata na naanị gị Onyenwe anyị, naanị, bụ Chineke.”
Nowe therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, saue thou vs out of his hande, that all the kingdomes of the earth may knowe, that thou, O Lord, art onely God.
20 Mgbe ahụ Aịzaya nwa Emọz zigaara Hezekaya ozi sị, “Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Chineke Izrel sịrị, Anụla m ekpere i kpere banyere Senakerib, eze Asịrịa.
Then Isaiah the sonne of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I haue heard that which thou hast prayed me, concerning Saneherib King of Asshur.
21 Nke a bụ okwu nke Onyenwe anyị kwuru megide ya: “‘Nwaagbọghọ na-amaghị nwoke, bụ Ada Zayọn na-elelị gị anya, ma jirikwa gị na-eme ihe ọchị. Nwaada Jerusalem na-efufekwa isi ya mgbe ị na-agbapụ ọsọ
This is the worde that the Lord hath spoken against him, O Virgine, daughter of Zion, he hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorne: O daughter of Ierusalem, he hath shaken his head at thee.

I haue digged, and drunke the waters of others, and with the plant of my feete haue I dried all the floods closed in.
Hast thou not heard, howe I haue of olde time made it, and haue formed it long ago? and should I nowe bring it, that it should be destroyed, and laid on ruinous heapes, as cities defensed?

And because thou ragest against me, and thy tumult is come vp to mine eares, I will put mine hooke in thy nostrels, and my bridle in thy lippes, and will bring thee backe againe the same way thou camest.
29 “Ma nke a ga-abụ ihe ịrịbama, nye gị, Hezekaya: “Nʼafọ a unu ga-eri ihe na-epu nʼonwe ya, nʼafọ nke abụọ unu ga-eri ihe ubi si na nke ahụ pupụta. Ma nʼafọ nke atọ ghaanụ mkpụrụ ubi, weenụ ihe ubi; kụọ vaịnị nʼubi vaịnị, riekwanụ mkpụrụ ha.
And this shalbe a signe vnto thee, O Hezekiah, Thou shalt eate this yeere such things as growe of them selues, and the next yeere such as growe without sowing, and the third yeere sowe ye and reape, and plant vineyardes, and eate the fruites thereof.
30 Ọzọkwa, ndị fọdụrụ nʼalaeze Juda ga-agba mgbọrọgwụ nʼokpuru ala, mịkwaa mkpụrụ nʼelu.
And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Iudah, shall againe take roote downewarde, and beare fruite vpwarde.
31 Nʼihi na ọ bụ site na Jerusalem ka ndị fọdụrụ ga-esi pụta; otu ndị fọdụrụ ndụ ga-esitekwa nʼugwu Zayọn pụta. “Ọ bụ site nʼịnụ ọkụ nʼobi nke Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile ga-emezu nke a.

32 “Ya mere, nke a bụ ihe Onyenwe anyị kwuru banyere eze Asịrịa, sị, “‘Ọ gaghị azọbata ụkwụ ya nʼime obodo a maọbụ gbaa ọ bụladị otu àkụ nʼebe a. Ọ gaghị eji ọta jegharịa nʼọnụ ụzọ ama ya, maọbụ wuo mgbidi nnọchibido megide ya.

For I will defende this citie to saue it for mine owne sake, and for Dauid my seruants sake.
35 Nʼabalị ahụ, mmụọ ozi Onyenwe anyị pụrụ gaa tigbuo otu puku narị na puku iri asatọ na ise nʼụlọ ikwu ndị Asịrịa. Mgbe ndị mmadụ tetara nʼisi ụtụtụ, lee, ozu ka ha jupụtara ebe niile.
And the same night the Angell of the Lord went out and smote in the campe of Asshur an hundreth foure score and fiue thousande: so when they rose earely in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
36 Ya mere, Senakerib, eze Asịrịa biliri ije, laghachi nʼala ya. Ọ laghachiri biri nʼobodo Ninive.
So Saneherib King of Asshur departed, and went his way, and returned, and dwelt in Nineueh.

And as he was in the Temple worshipping Nisroch his god, Adramelech and Sharezer his sonnes slewe him with the sworde: and they escaped into the land of Ararat, and Esarhaddon his sonne reigned in his steade.
