< 2 Ndị Kọrint 10 >

1 Ma mụ onwe m bụ Pọl, ji ịdị nwayọọ na obi umeala nke Kraịst na-arịọ unu. Mụ, onye na-adị umeala mgbe mụ na unu nọ nʼihu nʼihu, ma na-enwe mkwuwa okwu nʼebe unu nọ mgbe m na-anọghị nʼetiti unu.
Now I Paul, myself, appeal to you by the humble-heartedness and selflessness of Christ - Paul who "in your presence is humble, but bold enough when he is absent" -
2 Arịọ m unu, ka m ghara inwe obi ike mgbe m bịarutere dịka o kwesiri nʼebe ụfọdụ ndị nọ, site na iguzogide ndị ahụ na-eche na anyị na-eme ihe dị ka ndị ụwa si eme ya.
I beseech you, and I say, do not make me show my boldness, when I come in the boldness with which I think I shall show my courage against some who think that I am walking on the low level of the flesh.
3 Ọ bụ ezie na anyị na-ebi dịka mmadụ, ma anyị adịghị ebu agha dịka usoro anụ ahụ si dị.
Though I do walk on the low level of the flesh, I do not make war as the flesh does;
4 Nʼihi na ngwa agha anyị ji ebu agha, abụghị ngwa agha nke mmadụ nkịtị nke ụwa, kama ha nwere ike nke mmụọ ịla ebe niile e wusiri ike nʼiyi.
for the weapons of my warfare are not weapons of the flesh, but mighty for God, in pulling down all fortresses.
5 Anyị na-ala ịrụ ụka niile na okwu ụgha niile nʼiyi, nke na-egbochiri ụmụ mmadụ ụzọ e si amata Chineke, na-eme ka echiche niile hulata isi nʼokpuru Kraịst.
For I pull down imaginations and every crag that lifts itself against the knowledge of God. And I carry every thought away into captivity and subjection to Christ;
6 Anyị nọ na njikere ịta erubeghị isi niile ahụhụ, mgbe irube isi gị zuruoke.
and I am fully prepared to punish every act of disobedience, when once your submission has been put beyond question.
Look these facts in the face. If any man is fully persuaded as regards himself that he belongs to Christ, let him consider again with himself, that just as he is Christ’s, so also am I.
8 Ugbu a, ọ bụrụ na m anya isi banyere ikike ahụ Onyenwe anyị nyere m nʼebe unu nọ, ike ahụ o nyere m iji wulie unu elu, ọ bụghị iji wedaa unu ala, ihere agaghị eme m nʼihi nke a.
If, however, I were to boast more loudly concerning the authority which the Lord gave me (not to cast you down, but to build you up), I should have no cause for shame.
9 Achọghị ka ọ dịka m a ga-asị na m sitere nʼakwụkwọ ozi m na-emenye unu egwu.
Let it not seem as if I were overawing you with my letters.
"His letters indeed," says one, "are mighty and forcible, but his personality is weak, and his speech contemptible."
11 Ma ana m eme ka ndị dị otu a ghọta na ihe anyị na-ekwu site nʼakwụkwọ ozi mgbe anyị na-anọghị nʼetiti unu, ka anyị ga-eme ma anyị nọrọ nʼetiti unu.
Let such a man assure himself that my actions, when I am present, will be just like my words in my letters when I am absent.
12 Anyị enweghị anya ike ihazi ọnọdụ maọbụ were onwe anyị tụnyere ndị ụfọdụ na ndị ahụ nʼeto onwe ha.
I have not indeed the audacity to class myself among, or compare myself with, certain of the self-commenders; yet they are not wise in measuring themselves by one another and in comparing themselves with one another.
13 Ma anyị onwe anyị, adịghị anya isi banyere ihe ọbụla anyị na-enweghị ike ime. Kama anyị ga-anya isi nʼoke ọrụ ahụ Chineke kenyere anyị, ka anyị rụrụte ọ bụladị ruo nʼebe unu nọ.
I, however, will not indulge in undue boasting, but will confine it within the limits of the sphere to which God has assigned me - a sphere which reaches even to you.
14 Nʼihi na anyị adịghị ekwu okwu karịrị ọnụ anyị mgbe anyị na-etinye anya nʼihe gbasara unu, nʼihi na ọ bụ anyị buru ụzọ bịakwute unu, ikwusara unu oziọma gbasara Kraịst.
For I am not overstepping the limits of my authority, as though I reached you not; since I have already come even as far as Corinth to proclaim the gospel of Christ.
I am not "boasting beyond measure in the labors of others," but it is my hope that, as your faith goes on increasing among yourselves, by the enlargement of my appointed limits,
16 Nke a ga-eme ka anyị nwee ike zisaa oziọma ahụ na mba ndị ọzọ ndị dị nʼofe ala unu, ghara iji ọrụ arụrụ nʼebe ndị ọzọ na-arụ ọrụ na-etu ọnụ.
I may carry the gospel to countries beyond you; and not be boasting of work made ready to my hand within another man’s limit.
17 Ma, “Onye ọbụla na-anya isi, ya nyaa nʼime Onyenwe anyị.”
Meanwhile. Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.
For a man is proved worthy, not by his self-commendation, but when he is commended by the Lord.
