1 Ndị ala ahụ kpọọrọ Jehoahaz, nwa nwoke Josaya mee ya eze na Jerusalem, nʼọnọdụ nna ya.
And the people of the land took Jehoachaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father's stead in Jerusalem.
2 Jehoahaz gbara iri afọ abụọ na atọ mgbe o bidoro ịchị, ma ọ chịrị na Jerusalem ọnwa atọ.
Twenty and three years old was Joachaz when he became king, and three months did he reign in Jerusalem.
3 Eze Ijipt chụdara ya site nʼọchịchị na Jerusalem, kwagide ndị Juda ka ha tụọra ya ụtụ narị talenti ọlaọcha na otu talenti ọlaedo.
And the king of Egypt deposed him at Jerusalem, and imposed a fine on the land of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.
4 Eze Ijipt mere Eliakịm, otu nwanne Jehoahaz, eze ndị Juda na Jerusalem. Ọ gụgharịrị aha Eliakịm ka ọ bụrụ Jehoiakim. Ma Neko duuru Jehoahaz nwanne nwoke Eliakịm gaa Ijipt.
And the king of Egypt made Elyakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoyakim. And Joachaz his brother did Necho take away, and bring him to Egypt.
5 Jehoiakim gbara iri afọ abụọ na ise mgbe ọ malitere ịbụ eze. Ọ chịrị afọ iri na otu na Jerusalem. O mere ihe dị njọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị Chineke ya.
Twenty and five years old was Jehoyakim when he became king, and eleven years did he reign in Jerusalem: and he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord his God.
6 Nebukadneza eze Babilọn busoro ya agha, jiri ụdọ bronz kee ya agbụ, nʼihi i duru ya gaa Babilọn.
Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and he bound him with fetters, to carry him away to Babylon.
7 Nebukadneza bukọkwaara efere na iko ọlaedo dị nʼụlọnsọ ukwu Onyenwe anyị, buru ha gaa buba ha nʼụlọeze ya dị na Babilọn.
And some of the vessels of the house of the Lord did Nebuchadnezzar carry to Babylon, and he placed them in his temple at Babylon.
8 Akụkọ ọzọ niile gbasara ọchịchị Jehoiakim, na banyere ihe arụ niile o mere, na ihe niile a chọpụtara megide ya, ka e dere nʼakwụkwọ akụkọ ndị eze Izrel na Juda. Jehoiakin nwa ya ghọrọ eze nʼọnọdụ ya.
And the rest of the acts of Jehoyakim, and his abominable deeds which he did, and that which was found concerning him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. And Jehoyachin his son became king in his stead.
9 Jehoiakin gbara afọ iri na asatọ mgbe ọ malitere ịbụ eze, ọ chịrị naanị ọnwa atọ na abalị iri na Jerusalem. O mere ihe jọrọ njọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị.
Eight years old was Jehoyachin when he became king, and three months and ten days did he reign in Jerusalem: and he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord.
10 Emesịa, nʼafọ nke ọzọ ya, Nebukadneza ziri ozi mee ka akpọrọ ya, na ọtụtụ ihe ndị dị oke ọnụahịa sitere nʼụlọnsọ ukwu Onyenwe anyị, bulaa ha Babilọn nʼoge a. O mere nwanne nna Jehoiakin bụ Zedekaya, eze Juda na Jerusalem.
And with the expiration of the year did king Nebuchadnezzar send and had him brought to Babylon, with the costly vessels of the house of the Lord: and he made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem,
11 Zedekaya gbara iri afọ abụọ na otu mgbe e mere ya eze. Ọ chịrị afọ iri na otu na Jerusalem.
Twenty and one years old was Zedekiah when he became king, and eleven years did he reign in Jerusalem.
12 O mere ihe jọrọ njọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị Chineke ya, o wedaghị onwe ya ala nara ndụmọdụ Jeremaya bụ onye amụma, onye na-ekwu okwu nke Onyenwe anyị.
And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord his God: he humbled himself not before Jeremiah the prophet, according to the order of the Lord.
13 Ọzọkwa, o nupuru isi megide eze Nebukadneza, onye mere ka ọ ṅụọ iyi nʼaha Chineke. Ọ ghọrọ onye isiike, onye mechiri obi ya, jụ ichigharịkwute Onyenwe anyị, Chineke Izrel.
And also against king Nebuchadnezzar did he rebel, who had made him swear by God; but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart so as not to return unto the Lord the God of Israel.
14 Nʼime ka ihe dị njọ karịa, mmadụ niile, tinyere ndị ndu nʼetiti ndị nchụaja, nọgidere bụrụ ndị na-ekwesighị ntụkwasị obi, site nʼịgbaso omenaala rụrụ arụ nke mba niile gbara ha gburugburu. Ha merụrụ ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị, nke o doro nsọ nʼime Jerusalem.
Also all the chiefs of the priests and the people committed manifold trespasses, like all the abominable acts of the [foreign] nations: and they defiled the house of the Lord which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.
15 Onyenwe anyị, Chineke nna nna ha, sitere nʼọnụ ndị amụma ya gwa ha okwu mgbe na mgbe, ịdọ ha aka na ntị. O mere nke a nʼihi na o nwere obi ebere nʼebe ha nọ, na nʼebe ụlọnsọ ukwu ya dị.
And the Lord the God of their fathers sent to them by means of his messengers, making [them] rise early, and sending [them]: because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling-place;
16 Ma ha kwara ndị amụma Chineke ndị a emo, lelịa okwu Chineke ha wetara anya, chịa amụma ha buru ọchị, tutu ruo mgbe ha kpasuru ọnụma Onyenwe anyị megide ndị ya, ruo mgbe ihe ọbụla na-adịghịkwa nke pụrụ igbochi ngosipụta oke ọnụma a.
But they mocked at the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scorned his prophets, until the fury of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
17 Ya mere, o welitara eze Kaldịa imegide ha, bụ onye ji mma agha gbuchapụ ụmụ okorobịa ha nʼụlọ ebe nsọ ha. O nweghịkwa ọmịiko nʼebe ụmụ okorobịa, maọbụ ụmụ agbọghọ dị, ndị okenye maọbụ ndị nrịa nrịa. Chineke weere ha niile nyefee ha nʼaka Nebukadneza.
And he brought over them the king of the Chaldeans, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or virgin, the old man, and the aged: all did he give up into his hand.
18 O sitere nʼụlọnsọ ukwu Chineke kpokọrọ ihe niile dị nʼime ya, ma ihe ukwu ma ihe nta, tinyere akụ niile dị nʼime ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị, na nʼụlọeze, na nʼụlọ ndịisi ozi eze buru ha gaa Babilọn.
And all the vessels of the house of God, the great and the small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, —all these did he carry to Babylon.
19 Ha sunyere ụlọnsọ Chineke ọkụ, kwatukwa mgbidi Jerusalem. Ha sunyere ụlọeze niile ọkụ, mebikwaa ihe niile ndị bara uru dị nʼime ya.
And they burnt the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and all her palaces they burnt with fire, and all her costly vessels they gave up to destruction.
20 Ha buuru ndị fọdụrụ, bụ ndị niile gbanarịrị mma agha, gaa Babilọn, ha ghọrọ ya, ghọkwara ụmụ ya ndị nọchiri anya ya, ndị ohu, tutu ruo mgbe ehiwere alaeze Peshịa.
And those that had escaped from the sword did he carry into exile to Babylon: and they were servants to him and to his sons until the kingdom of Persia came to the government:
21 Ala ahụ nwere ụbọchị izuike niile kwesiri ya nʼebe o zuruoke, nʼoge niile nke ịtọgbọ nʼefu ya, o zuru ike, ruo mgbe iri afọ asaa ahụ zuru, nʼimezu okwu Onyenwe anyị kwuru site nʼọnụ Jeremaya onye amụma.
To fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had satisfied its sabbaths: all the days of its desolation it rested, till seventy years were completed.
22 Ma nʼafọ mbụ nke ọchịchị Sairọs eze Peshịa, ime ka okwu Onyenwe anyị nke sitere nʼọnụ Jeremaya mezuo, Onyenwe anyị kpaliri mmụọ Sairọs, eze Peshịa ka o mee mkpọsa nʼalaeze ya niile, ma denyekwa ya nʼakwụkwọ iwu, sị,
And in the first year of Cyrus the king of Persia, at the completion of the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, did the Lord stir up the spirit of Cyrus the king of Persia, so that he caused a proclamation to be made throughout all his kingdom, and also by means of writing, saying,
23 “Otu a ka Sairọs, eze Peshịa kwuru: “‘Onyenwe anyị, Chineke nke eluigwe, e nyela m alaeze niile nke dị nʼụwa. O nyekwala m ọrụ iwuru ya ụlọnsọ na Jerusalem, nke dị na Juda. Ya mere, onye ya ọbụla nʼetiti ndị ya nwere ike ịga, ka Onyenwe anyị Chineke ha nọnyekwara ha.’”
Thus hath said Cyrus the king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord the God of heaven given me, and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all his people, may the Lord his God be with him, and let him go up.
