< 2 Ihe E Mere 26 >
1 Mgbe ahụ, ndị Juda mere Ụzaya eze nʼọnọdụ Amazaya nna ya, mgbe ọ dị naanị afọ iri na isii.
All the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the place of his father Amaziah.
2 Ọ bụ Ụzaya wugharịrị obodo Elat, nwetaghachi ya nye Juda mgbe eze bụ Amazaya sooro ndị nna nna ya dinaa nʼọnwụ.
He built Eilat, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.
3 Ụzaya dị afọ iri na isii mgbe ọ malitere ịchị dịka eze. Ọ chịrị iri afọ ise na abụọ na Jerusalem.
Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Jecoliah, of Jerusalem.
4 O soro nzọ ụkwụ nna ya bụ Amazaya mee ihe ziri ezi nʼanya Onyenwe anyị.
He did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.
5 Ụzaya chọsịrị Chineke ike ụbọchị niile nke Zekaraya na-adị ndụ, bụ onye mere ka ọ ghọta ịtụ egwu Chineke. Mgbe niile, dịka ọ na-achọ Onyenwe anyị, Chineke nyere ya ọganihu.
He set himself to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the fear of God, and as long as he sought Jehovah, God made him to prosper.
He went forth and warred against the Philistines, and broke down the wall of Gath, and the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of Ashdod; and he built cities in the country of Ashdod, and among the Philistines.
7 Chineke nọnyeere ya nʼọgụ niile ọ lụsoro ndị Filistia, na ndị Arab bi na Gua Baal na ndị Meunim.
God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians who lived in Gur Baal, and the Meunites.
8 Ndị Amọn na-atụtara ya ụtụ afọ niile, ude aha ya ruru ọ bụladị ala Ijipt nʼihi na ọ ghọrọ onye dị ike nke ukwuu.
The Meunites gave tribute to Uzziah, and his name spread abroad even to the entrance of Egypt; for he grew exceeding strong.
9 O wuru ọtụtụ ụlọ elu nche na Jerusalem na nkuku Ọnụ Ụzọ Ama, nʼỌnụ Ụzọ Ama Ndagwurugwu, na nkuku mgbidi, wusie ha ike.
Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate, and at the Valley Gate, and at the turning of the wall, and fortified them.
10 O wukwara ọtụtụ ụlọ elu nche siri ike nʼọzara, gwuokwa ọtụtụ olulu mmiri nʼihi na o nwere ọtụtụ anụ ụlọ na ndagwurugwu, na nʼala dị larịị. Ọ hụrụ ịrụ ọrụ ubi nʼanya, nʼihi ya, o nwere ọtụtụ ndị na-arụ ọrụ nʼubi na ubi vaịnị ya dị nʼala ugwu ugwu, na nʼala ndị dị na ndagwurugwu.
He built towers in the wilderness, and dug out many cisterns, for he had many cattle; in the Shephelah and in the plain he had farmers, and vinedressers in the hills and in the fertile fields, for he loved the land.
11 Ụzaya nwere ndị agha ọnụọgụgụ ha dị ukwuu, ndị a zụziri azụzi, na ndị nọ na njikere mgbe niile ịpụ ibu agha dịka ọnụọgụgụ e kewapụtara ha si dị. Ọ bụ Jeiel, ode akwụkwọ na Maaseia, onyeisi ozi nọ nʼokpuru Hananaya, otu nʼime ndịisi ozi eze, ka ọ dị nʼaka ịgụpụta ndị agha ga-apụ ibu agha.
Moreover Uzziah had an army of fighting men, who went out to war by bands, according to the number of their reckoning made by Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the officer, under the hand of Hananiah, one of the king's captains.
12 Ndị agha a nwekwara puku ndịisi agha abụọ na narị isii, ya bụ 2,600.
The whole number of the heads of ancestral houses, even the mighty men of valor, was two thousand and six hundred.
Under their hand was an army, three hundred thousand and seven thousand and five hundred, who made war with mighty power, to help the king against the enemy.
14 Ụzaya nyere ndị agha niile, ọta, na ùbe, na uwe agha, na okpu igwe, na uwe agha igwe, ụta na nkume na-akwọ mụrụmụrụ, nke ndị na-atụ iche ji alụ ọgụ.
Uzziah prepared for them, even for all the army, shields, and spears, and helmets, and coats of mail, and bows, and stones for slinging.
15 O mepụtakwara ihe nchepụta ọhụrụ na Jerusalem, nke ndị nwere amamihe chepụtara, bụ nke a ga-eguzobe nʼụlọ elu nche nakwa nʼelu nkuku mgbidi, ka ndị agha nwee ike jiri ha gbaa àkụ maọbụ tụọ nkume ukwu site nʼelu mgbidi ahụ niile. Ude aha ya gbasara ruo ebe dị anya, nʼihi na-enyeere ya aka nʼụzọ dị ukwuu ruo mgbe ọ ghọrọ onye dị ike.
He made in Jerusalem engines, invented by skillful men, to be on the towers and on the battlements, with which to shoot arrows and great stones. His name spread far abroad; for he was marvelously helped, until he was strong.
16 Ma mgbe Ụzaya ghọrọ onye dị ike, nganga wetaara ya ọdịda. Ọ bụ onye na-ekwesighị ntụkwasị obi nye Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke ya, ọ banyere nʼime ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị ka ọ chụọ aja ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja.
But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up, so that he did corruptly, and he trespassed against Jehovah his God; for he went into Jehovah's temple to burn incense on the altar of incense.
17 Azaraya onye nchụaja na ndị nchụaja Onyenwe anyị iri asatọ ọzọ bụ dimkpa jekwuru ya nʼebe ahụ.
Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him eighty priests of Jehovah, who were valiant men:
18 Ha guzogidere eze bụ Ụzaya, sị ya, “Ụzaya, i kwesighị ịbata nʼebe a jiri aka gị suree ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ nye Onyenwe anyị. Nke a bụ ọrụ dịrị naanị ndị nchụaja ndị bụ ụmụ Erọn, ndị a họpụtara doo iche maka ọrụ a. Site nʼebe nsọ a pụọ, nʼihi na i gosila onwe gị dịka onye na-ekwesighị ntụkwasị obi. Ọzọ ị gaghị enwekwa nsọpụrụ site nʼaka Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị.”
and they resisted Uzziah the king, and said to him, "It isn't for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to Jehovah, but for the priests the descendants of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Go out of the sanctuary; for you have trespassed; neither shall it be for your honor from Jehovah God."
19 Ụzaya onye ji ihe ịgụ ọkụ nke e ji esure ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ ahụ nʼaka, were iwe nke ukwu megide ndị nchụaja ahụ. Mgbe ọ nọ na-abara ndị nchụaja mba nʼihu ebe ịchụ aja nke dị nʼụlọnsọ ukwu Onyenwe anyị, lee ekpenta pụtara ya nʼegedege ihu.
Then Uzziah was angry; and he had a censer in his hand to burn incense; and while he was angry with the priests, the leprosy broke forth in his forehead before the priests in the house of Jehovah, beside the altar of incense.
Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked on him, and look, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out quickly from there; yes, himself hurried also to go out, because Jehovah had struck him.
21 Eze Ụzaya bụ onye ekpenta ruo ụbọchị ọnwụ ya. O biri nʼụlọ ewupụrụ iche, ebe ọ bụ onye ekpenta, na onye amapụrụ site nʼụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị. Jotam nwa ya ghọrọ onye nlekọta ụlọeze, na-achịkwa ndị ala ahụ.
Uzziah the king was a leper to the day of his death, and lived in a separate house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of Jehovah: and Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.
22 Ihe ndị ọzọ niile mere nʼoge ọchịchị Ụzaya, site na mmalite ruo ọgwụgwụ, onye amụma Aịzaya nwa Emọz deturu ha nʼakwụkwọ.
Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, wrote.
23 Ụzaya soro ndị nna nna ya dina nʼọnwụ, e lie ya nso nʼọhịa ebe a na-eli ozu nke dịịrị ndị eze, maka na ndị mmadụ sịrị, “Ọ bụ onye ekpenta.” Jotam nwa ya, ghọrọ eze nʼọnọdụ ya.
So Uzziah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the field of burial which belonged to the kings; for they said, "He is a leper." Jotham his son reigned in his place.
