< 2 Ihe E Mere 13 >
1 Abija malitere ịbụ eze Juda, nʼafọ iri na asatọ nke ọchịchị eze Jeroboam.
In the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam Abia began to reign over Juda.
2 Ọ chịrị afọ atọ na Jerusalem. Aha nne ya bụ Maaka, otu nʼime ụmụ nwanyị Uriel, onye Gibea. Agha dịgidere nʼetiti Abija na Jeroboam.
He reigned three years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name [was] Maacha, daughter of Uriel of Gabaon. And there was war between Abia and Jeroboam.
3 Abija họpụtara ndị ya dị ike nʼagha bụ ndị ọnụọgụgụ ha dị narị puku anọ, ma Jeroboam eze Izrel họpụtara ndị agha ọnụọgụgụ ha dị narị puku asatọ doo ha nʼusoro.
And Abia set the battle in array with an army, with mighty men of war, [even] four hundred thousand mighty men: and Jeroboam set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand, [they were] mighty warriors of the host.
4 Abija guzoro nʼugwu Zemaraim nʼala ugwu ugwu Ifrem jiri oke olu sị “Jeroboam na ndị Izrel niile geenụ m ntị!
And Abia rose up from the mount Somoron, which is in mount Ephraim, and said, Hear you, Jeroboam, and all Israel:
5 Unu amataghị na Onyenwe anyị Chineke nke Izrel esitela nʼọgbụgba ndụ nnu nyefee ọchịchị ala Izrel niile nʼaka Devid na ụmụ ụmụ ya ruo ebighị ebi?
[Is it] not for you to know that the Lord God of Israel has given a king over Israel for ever to David, and to his sons, by a covenant of salt?
6 Ma Jeroboam, nwa Nebat, bụ onye ọrụ Solomọn nwa Devid, nupuru isi megide onyenwe ya.
But Jeroboam the [son] of Nabat, the servant of Solomon [the son] of David, is risen up, and has revolted from his master:
7 Ndị efu niile na-abaghị uru chịkọtara onwe ha gbaa ya gburugburu guzogide Rehoboam nwa Solomọn, mgbe ọ bụ nwantakịrị na onye na-enweghị ike inwe mkpebi, onye nʼadịghịkwa ike iguzogide ha.
and there are gathered to him pestilent men, transgressors, and he has risen up against Roboam the [son] of Solomon, while Roboam was young and fearful in heart, and he withstood him not.
8 “Ma ugbu a, unu ejikerela imegide alaeze Onyenwe anyị nke dị nʼaka ụmụ ụmụ Devid. Nʼezie, unu bu igwe ndị agha bara ụba, nʼetiti unu ka ụmụ ehi ọlaedo ahụ dịkwa, bụ nke Jeroboam mere ka ha buru chi unu.
And now you profess to resist the kingdom of the Lord in the hand of the sons of David; and you [are] a great multitude, and with you are golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods.
9 Ma unu achụpụghị ndị nchụaja Onyenwe anyị, bụ ụmụ Erọn, chụpụkwa ndị Livayị ma meere onwe unu ndị nchụaja dịka ndị mba ọzọ na-eme? Onye ọbụla ji nwa oke ehi na ebule asaa bịa ido onwe ya nsọ na-aghọrọ unu onye nchụaja nye ihe ndị ahụ na-abụghị chi.
Did you not cast out the priests of the Lord, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and make to yourselves priests of the people of any [other] land? whoever came to consecrate himself with a calf of the heard and seven rams, he forthwith became a priest to that which is no god.
10 “Ma banyere anyị, Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke anyị, anyị ahapụbeghị ya. Ndị nchụaja na-ejere Onyenwe anyị ozi bụ ụmụ Erọn, ndị Livayị bụkwa ndị na-enyere ha aka.
But we have not forsaken the Lord our God, and his priests, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, minister to the Lord; and in their daily courses
11 Ha na-achụ aja nye Onyenwe anyị kwa ụtụtụ na anyasị niile, na-esurekwa ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ; ma na-edobekwa achịcha edoro nsọ nʼelu tebul ahụ dị ọcha. Ha na-amụnyekwa ọkụ nʼiheọkụ ndị ahụ dị nʼelu ihe ịdọba oriọna ọlaedo kwa abalị niile. Nʼihi na anyị onwe anyị na-edebe iwu Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị; ma unu onwe unu ahapụla ya, gbakụta ya azụ.
they sacrifice to the Lord whole burnt offering, morning and evening, and compound incense, and [set] the show bread on the pure table; and [there is] the golden candlestick, and the lamps for burning, to light in the evening: for we keep the charge of the Lord God of our fathers; but you have forsaken him.
12 Chineke nọnyeere anyị. Ọ bụkwa onyendu anyị. Ndị nchụaja ya ga-eji ịfụ opi ike tie mkpu agha megide unu. Unu ndị Izrel, unu alụsokwala Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke nna unu ha ọgụ nʼihi na mmeri agaghị abụ nke unu!”
And, behold, the Lord and his priests are with us at our head, and the signal trumpets to sound an alarm over us. Children of Israel, fight not against the Lord God of our fathers; for you shall not prosper.
13 Ma Jeroboam ezipụlarị ụfọdụ ndị agha ya ka ha ga ndị agha Juda nʼazụ. Mgbe Jeroboam nọ nʼihu ndị Juda, ụfọdụ ndị agha ya nọkwa ndị Juda nʼazụ.
Now Jeroboam had caused an ambush to come round upon him from behind: and he [himself] was before Juda, and the ambush behind.
14 Mgbe ndị agha Juda tụgharịrị hụ na agha dị ha nʼihu dịkwa nʼazụ, ha tikuru Onyenwe anyị mkpu nzọpụta, ndị nchụaja fụkwara opi ike ha.
And Juda looked back, and, behold, the battle [was] against them before and behind: and they cried to the Lord, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.
15 Ndị Juda tiri oke mkpu agha. Mgbe ha na-eti mkpu a, Chineke mere ka Abija na ndị Juda merie Jeroboam na ndị Izrel.
And the men of Juda shouted: and it came to pass, when the men of Juda shouted, that the Lord struck Jeroboam and Israel before Abia and Juda.
16 Ndị agha Izrel gbara ọsọ nʼihu ndị Juda, Chineke nyefere ha nʼaka ndị Juda.
And the children of Israel fled from before Juda; and the Lord delivered them into their hands.
17 Abija na ndị agha ya gburu narị puku ndị Izrel ise nʼụbọchị ahụ.
And Abia and his people struck them with a great slaughter: and there fell slain of Israel five hundred thousand mighty men.
18 Ya mere, ntụkwasị obi nke Juda nwere nʼime Onyenwe anyị Chineke nna ha mere ka ha merie Jeroboam na ndị Izrel.
So the children of Israel were brought low in that day, and the children of Juda prevailed, because they trusted on the Lord God of their fathers.
19 Abija chụkwara Jeroboam na ndị agha ya ọsọ dọta obodo ndị a nʼagha: Betel, na Jeshana, na Efrọn, na obodo niile gbara ha gburugburu.
And Abia pursued after Jeroboam, and he took from him the cities, Baethel and her towns, and Jesyna and her towns, and Ephron and her towns.
20 Jeroboam enwetakwaghị ike ya ọzọ oge niile Abija nọ dịka eze. Ma ọ dịghị anya Onyenwe anyị tidara ya tigbuo ya.
And Jeroboam did not recover strength again all the days of Abia: and the Lord struck him, and he died.
21 Ma Abija gara nʼihu bụrụ onye dị ike, ọ lụrụ nwunye iri na anọ, mụọ iri ụmụ nwoke abụọ na abụọ, na ụmụ ndị nwanyị iri na isii.
But Abia strengthened himself, and took to himself fourteen wives, and he begot twenty-two sons, and sixteen daughters.
22 Akụkọ niile banyere ọchịchị Abija, ihe o mere na ihe o kwuru, dị nʼakwụkwọ akụkọ nke Ido onye amụma dere.
And the rest of the acts of Abia, and his deeds, and his sayings, are written in the book of the prophet Addo.
