1 Solomọn nwa Devid mere onwe ya ka o guzosie ike nʼalaeze ya, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị Chineke ya nọnyeere ya, meekwa ka ọ dị ukwuu hie nne.
Solomon son of David was strengthened in his rule, and Yahweh his God was with him and made him very powerful.
2 Mgbe ahụ, Solomọn gwara ndị Izrel niile okwu, ya bụ, ndịisi agha na-achị ọtụtụ puku ndị agha, na ndịisi agha na-achị ọtụtụ narị ndị agha, na ndị ikpe, na ndị ndu niile nọ nʼIzrel, na ndịisi ezinaụlọ niile.
Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the heads of the fathers' houses.
3 Solomọn ya na ọgbakọ ahụ niile, gara nʼebe dị elu nke Gibiọn, nʼihi nʼebe ahụ ka ụlọ nzute Chineke dị, bụ nke Mosis onyeozi Onyenwe anyị wuru nʼọzara.
So Solomon and all the assembly with him went to the high place that was at Gibeon, for there was the tent of meeting of God, which Moses the servant of Yahweh, had made in the wilderness.
4 Ma Devid esitelarị na Kiriat Jearim buputa igbe ọgbụgba ndụ Chineke ahụ, bulaa ya nʼụlọ ikwu nke o wuru maka ya na Jerusalem.
But David had brought up the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim to the place that he had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.
5 Ebe ịchụ aja bronz ahụ Bezalel nwa Uri, nwa Hua wuru dịkwa na Gibiọn, nʼihu ụlọ nzute Onyenwe anyị. Solomọn na ọgbakọ ahụ na-ajụta ya ase nʼebe bronz ahụ.
In addition, the bronze altar made by Bezalel son of Uri son of Hur was there before the tabernacle of Yahweh; Solomon and the assembly went to it.
6 Solomọn jere nʼebe ịchụ aja ahụ e ji bronz kpụọ, nke dị nʼihu Onyenwe anyị, nʼime ụlọ nzute, jiri anụ ụlọ ọnụọgụgụ ha dị otu puku chụọ aja nsure ọkụ nʼelu ya.
Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before Yahweh, which was at the tent of meeting, and offered one thousand burnt offerings on it.
7 Nʼabalị ụbọchị ahụ na Gibiọn, Onyenwe anyị mere ka Solomọn hụ ya anya, sị ya, “Rịọọ ihe ọbụla ị chọrọ ka m nye gị.”
God appeared to Solomon that night and said to him, “Ask! What should I give you?”
8 Ma Solomọn zara Chineke, sị, “I gosila nna m bụ Devid obi ebere dị ukwuu. Ugbu a, i meekwala m eze nʼọnọdụ ya
Solomon said to God, “You have shown great covenant faithfulness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.
9 Ugbu a, Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke, ka nkwa gị nke i kwere nna m, bụ Devid, bụrụ ihe e mezuru, nʼihi na ị meela m eze ndị a bara ụba nʼọnụọgụgụ dịka aja nke ala.
Now, Yahweh God, let your promise to David my father be carried out, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.
10 Biko, nye m amamihe na nghọta, nke m ga-eji edu ndị a napụ na-abata, nʼihi na onye pụrụ ịchịkọta ndị gị a dị ukwuu?”
Now give me wisdom and knowledge, so that I may lead this people, for who can judge your people, who are so many in number?”
11 Chineke zara Solomọn sị ya, “Ebe ọ bụ na ị rịọghị m ka m nye gị akụnụba, maọbụ ogologo ndụ; ebe ọ bụkwa na ị rịọghị m ka m mee ka ndị kpọrọ gị asị nwụsịa, maọbụ ka m mee ka i nwee nsọpụrụ karịa, kama mkpa na-akpa gị bụ ka m nye gị amamihe na nghọta ị ga-eji duzie ndị m, nke m mere gị eze ha.
God said to Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and because you have not asked for riches, wealth, or honor, nor for the life of those who hate you, nor for long life for yourself, but you have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, so that you might rule my people, over whom I have made you king, and this is what I will do.
12 Ya mere, enyela gị amamihe na nghọta dịka ị rịọrọ. Aga m enyekwa gị akụnụba na nsọpụrụ dị ukwuu, nke eze ọbụla nke buru gị ụzọ na-enwebeghị. Ọ dịkwaghị onye nke ga-eso gị ga-enwe ụdị ya.”
I will now give you wisdom and knowledge. I will also give you riches, wealth, and honor, as none of the kings had before you, and none after you will have.”
13 Mgbe ahụ, Solomọn sitere nʼebe dị elu nke Gibiọn, site nʼihu ụlọ nzute ahụ, lọghachi na Jerusalem. Ọ chịrị dịka eze nʼIzrel.
So Solomon came to Jerusalem from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the tent of meeting; he reigned over Israel.

Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen, and he had 1,400 chariots and twelve thousand horsemen that he placed in the chariot cities, and with himself, the king in Jerusalem.

The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as the stones, and he made cedar wood as common as the sycamore trees that are in the lowlands.
16 A na-esite nʼIjipt nakwa ala Kue atụbatara Solomọn ịnyịnya. Ndị ahịa eze na-azụta ha site na Kue nʼọnụ ahịa a na-ere ha nʼoge ahụ.
As for the importation of horses from Egypt and Kue for Solomon, his merchants bought them from Kue at a price.
17 Ha sitere nʼIjipt tụbata otu ụgbọ agha nʼọnụ ahịa narị shekel ọlaọcha isii; jirikwa otu narị shekel na iri shekel ise zụta otu ịnyịnya. Ha zipụkwara ha nye ndị eze niile nke ndị Het na ndị Aram.
They imported a chariot from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for 150 shekels. They also exported them to the kings of the Hittites and the Arameans.
