< 1 Timoti 6 >
Let all who are servants under the yoke give all honour to their masters, so that no evil may be said against the name of God and his teaching.
2 Ndị nke nwere ndị kwere ekwe dịka ndị nwe ha ekwesighị ilelị ha anya nʼihi na ha bụ ụmụnna ha. Kama, ha kwesiri ijere ndị nwe ha ozi nke ọma karịa, nʼihi na ndị na-erite uru nʼọrụ ha bụ ndị kwere ekwe bụrụkwa ndị anyị hụrụ nʼanya. Ihe ndị a ka ị ga-akụziri ha, dụkwaa ha ọdụ banyere ime nke a.
And let those whose masters are of the faith have respect for them because they are brothers, working for them the more readily, because those who take part in the good work are of the faith and are dear. Give orders and teaching about these things.
3 Onye ọbụla na-ezi ihe ọzọ nke na-adabaghị nʼokwu ezi ntọala na-enye ndụ nke Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst, ya na ozizi nke ibi ndụ kwesiri onye nke Chineke,
If any man gives different teaching, not in agreement with the true words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the teaching which is in agreement with true religion,
He has an over-high opinion of himself; being without knowledge, having only an unhealthy love of questionings and wars of words, from which come envy, fighting, cruel words, evil thoughts,
Bitter talk of men who, being evil in mind and dead to what is true, take the faith to be a way of making profit.
6 Ma ikpere Chineke bara uru nke ukwuu nye onye nwere afọ ojuju nʼihe ọbụla o nwere.
But true faith, with peace of mind, is of great profit:
7 Nʼihi na o nweghị ihe anyị ji nʼaka mgbe anyị bịara nʼụwa, otu a kwa, o nweghị ihe anyị ga-ewerekwa mgbe anyị ga-esi nʼụwa pụọ.
For we came into the world with nothing, and we are not able to take anything out;
8 Ya mere, ọ bụrụ na anyị enwe ihe oriri na uwe anyị ji ekpuchi ọtọ anyị, afọ kwesiri iju anyị nʼihe anyị nwere.
But if we have food and a roof over us, let that be enough.
But those who have a desire for wealth are falling into danger, and are taken as in a net by a number of foolish and damaging desires, through which men are overtaken by death and destruction.
10 Nʼihi na ịhụ ego nʼanya bụ mgbọrọgwụ nke ime ihe ọjọọ niile dị iche iche. Ụfọdụ ndị hụrụ ego nʼanya, ndị na-achọsi ya ike, adapụla nʼokwukwe ha, si otu a tinye onwe ha nʼọtụtụ ọnọdụ na-ewetara ha obi ọjọọ na iru ụjụ.
For the love of money is a root of all evil: and some whose hearts were fixed on it have been turned away from the faith, and been wounded with unnumbered sorrows.
But you, O man of God, keep yourself from these things, and go after righteousness, religion, faith, love, a quiet mind, gentle behaviour.
12 Na-agbasi mgba ọma nke okwukwe gị ike, jidesiekwa ndụ ebighị ebi ahụ aka ike bụ nke a kpọrọ gị oku maka ya mgbe i mere ezi nkwupụta gị nʼihu ọtụtụ ndị akaebe. (aiōnios )
Be fighting the good fight of the faith; take for yourself the life eternal, for which you were marked out, and of which you gave witness in the eyes of all. (aiōnios )
13 Nʼihu Chineke, onye na-enye ihe niile ndụ, na nʼihu Kraịst Jisọs onye gbara ama nkwupụta ọma nʼihu Pọntiọs Pailet. Ana m enye gị iwu
I give you orders before God, the giver of life, and Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate gave witness to the faith,
14 ka i debezuo ihe niile e nyere nʼiwu na-enweghị ntụpọ ọbụla maọbụ ịta ụta ruo mgbe Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst ga-apụta ihe.
To keep the word untouched by evil, clear from all shame, till the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Nke a ga-emezu mgbe oge zuru site nʼike ya, Chineke, onye dị ngọzị na onye naanị ya na-achị, Eze kachasị eze niile, na Onyenwenụ kachasị ndị nwenụ niile.
Which at the right time he will make clear, who is the eternal and only Ruler, King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 Onye naanị ya na-adịghị anwụ anwụ. Onye na-ebikwa nʼime ìhè nke mmadụ ọbụla na-apụghị ịbịaru nso. Onye mmadụ ọbụla na-ahụbeghị anya mgbe ọbụla, onye a na-apụghịkwa ịhụ anya. Amen. (aiōnios )
Who only has life for ever, living in light to which no man may come near; whom no man has seen or is able to see: to whom be honour and power for ever. So be it. (aiōnios )
17 Nye ndị bụ ọgaranya nʼoge ugbu a iwu ka ha ghara ịnya isi, maọbụ tụkwasị obi ha nʼakụnụba, nke a na-ejighị aka. Kama ka ntụkwasị obi ha dịrị na Chineke onye na-enyezu anyị ihe niile site nʼakụ ya nʼihi ime anyị obi ụtọ. (aiōn )
Give orders to those who have money and goods in this life, not to be lifted up in their minds, or to put their hope in the uncertain chances of wealth, but in God who gives us in full measure all things for our use; (aiōn )
18 Gwa ha ka ha na-eme ezi ihe, ka ha bụrụ ọgaranya nʼọrụ ọma niile, ka ha nwee obiọma na inyere ndị ọzọ aka, dịkwa njikere ikenye ndị ọzọ ihe site nʼihe ha nwere.
And to do good, having wealth in good works, being quick to give, taking part with one another;
19 Nʼụzọ dị otu a, ha na-akpadoro onwe ha akụ nke ga-abụrụ ha ntọala siri ike nʼọgbọ dị nʼihu, nke a ga-eme ka ha rite ndụ ahụ nke bụ ezigbo ndụ nʼuru.
Making ready for themselves a safe place for the time to come, so that the true life may be theirs.
20 Timoti chebekwa ihe ndị ahụ e nyefere gị nʼaka, wezuga onwe gị site nʼokwu nzuzu nke rụrụ arụ, na ịrụ ụka nzuzu nke ha na-akpọ ihe ọmụma,
O Timothy, take good care of that which is given to you, turning away from the wrong and foolish talk and arguments of that knowledge which is falsely so named;
21 bụ nke ụfọdụ kwupụtara, ma na ime nke a, ha esitela nʼụzọ okwukwe kpafuo. Ka amara dịnyere gị. Amen.
Through which some, who gave their minds to it, have been turned away from the faith. Grace be with you.
