< 1 Timoti 4 >
1 Ma Mmụọ Nsọ agwagheela anyị ọnụ sị, na nʼoge ikpeazụ ụfọdụ mmadụ nʼime chọọchị ga-esite nʼokwukwe wezuga onwe ha, bụrụ ndị na-agbaso mmụọ nduhie nakwa ozizi ihe banyere mmụọ ọjọọ.
But the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,
2 Ozizi dị otu a na-esite nʼihu abụọ nke ndị ụgha, bụ ndị eji igwe ọkụ da nwụọ akọnuche ha.
through the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron,
3 Ndị dị otu a na-egbochi ịlụ dị na nwunye na iri ihe oriri ụfọdụ. Ma ọ bụ Chineke kere ihe oriri ndị a ka ndị kwere ekwe, ndị maara eziokwu ahụ jiri ekpere na ekele nara ha.
forbidding marriage and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
4 Ihe niile Chineke kere dị mma, ọ dịkwaghị ihe ọbụla a ga-ajụ ma ọ bụrụ na e jiri ekele nara ya,
For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.
5 nʼihi na-esitere nʼokwu Chineke na ekpere doo ya nsọ.
For it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.
6 Ọ bụrụ na ị mee ka ụmụnna mara ihe ndị a, ị ga-abụ ezi onyeozi Kraịst Jisọs, onye a zụlitere nke ọma site nʼeziokwu nke okwukwe, na ezi ozizi nke ị gbasoro.
If you instruct the brothers of these things, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine which you have followed.
7 Atụfula oge gị nʼịrụ ụka rụrụ arụ banyere akụkọ ifo nzuzu, na akụkọ na-abaghị uru nke ndị agadi nwanyị na-akọ. Kama zụọ onwe gị ka ị bụrụ onye nke na-asọpụrụ Chineke.
But refuse profane and old wives’ fables. Exercise yourself toward godliness.
8 Igwuri egwu nke anụ ahụ dị mma kama ịbụ onye nke Chineke bara uru karịa nʼụzọ ọbụla, nʼihi na nkwa dị nʼime ya bụ banyere ndụ dị ugbu a na ndụ dị nʼihu.
For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now and of that which is to come.
9 Okwu a kwesiri ntụkwasị obi, kwesikwa ka a nara ya nke ọma.
This saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance.
10 Anyị na-adọgbu onwe anyị nʼọrụ na-ahụjukwa anya maka na anyị tụkwasịrị olileanya anyị na Chineke dị ndụ, onye bụ Onye nzọpụta mmadụ niile, karịchasịa, nke ndị niile kwere ekwe.
For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we have set our trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.
11 Ndị a bụ ihe ndị ị ga-akụzi, kwudosie ike na-akụzi ha.
Command and teach these things.
Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.
13 Tutu ruo mgbe m ga-abịa nʼebe ahụ, na-agụpụta ma na-akọwakwara ndị chọọchị ihe e dere nʼime akwụkwọ nsọ. Na-ekwusakwa okwu Chineke.
Until I come, pay attention to reading, to exhortation, and to teaching.
14 Elelịla onyinye ime mmụọ nke i nwere anya, bụ nke e nyere gị site nʼibu amụma pụtara ihe mgbe ndị okenye bikwasịrị gị aka nʼisi.
Don’t neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the elders.
15 Jiri onyinye ndị a niile rụọ ọrụ, nọgidesie ike nʼọrụ gị, ka onye ọbụla mata, hụkwa na ị na-eme nke ọma.
Be diligent in these things. Give yourself wholly to them, that your progress may be revealed to all.
16 Na-elezi anya na ndụ gị, na ozizi gị. Nọgidesie ike nʼihe ndị a nʼihi na site na ha, ị ga-azọpụta onwe gị, zọpụtakwa ndị na-ege gị ntị.
Pay attention to yourself and to your teaching. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
