< 1 Timoti 1 >
1 Pọl, onyeozi Kraịst Jisọs site nʼiwu Chineke Onye nzọpụta anyị, na nke Kraịst Jisọs, onye bụ olileanya anyị,
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to a command of God our Saviour, and of the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,
2 Na-edegara gị bụ Timoti ezi nwa m nʼime okwukwe akwụkwọ a. Ka amara, na ebere na udo nke sitere na Chineke bụ Nna, na Kraịst Jisọs Onyenwe anyị dịrị gị.
to Timotheus — genuine child in faith: Grace, kindness, peace, from God our Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord,
3 Dị ka m gbara gị ume, mgbe m na-aga Masidonia, nọgide nʼEfesọs ka i nwee ike nye mmadụ ụfọdụ iwu ka ha ghara ịga nʼihu nʼizi ụkpụrụ dị iche.
according as I did exhort thee to remain in Ephesus — I going on to Macedonia — that thou mightest charge certain not to teach any other thing,
4 Mee ka ha kwụsị ịkọ ogologo akụkọ, na inyocha ihe gbasara usoro ọmụmụ dị iche iche nke na-adịghị agwụ agwụ. Nʼihi na ihe ndị a na-eweta ajụjụ na ịrụ ụka na-abaghị uru, kama inyere ndị mmadụ aka ịnabata ụzọ ahụ Chineke kwadoro site nʼokwukwe.
nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, that cause questions rather than the building up of God that is in faith: —
5 Ihe anyị bu nʼobi nye iwu a, bụ ka a kwalite ịhụnanya nke sitere nʼobi ọcha na ezi akọnuche, na okwukwe nke aghụghọ na-adịghị.
And the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned,
6 Ụfọdụ e sikwala nʼihe ndị a dapụ, jehie ụzọ, site nʼoke ịrụ ụka na-abaghị uru.
from which certain, having swerved, did turn aside to vain discourse,
7 Ha chọrọ ịbụ ndị ozizi iwu ma ha amaghị ihe ha na-ekwu maọbụ ihe ha na-akwadosi ike.
willing to be teachers of law, not understanding either the things they say, nor concerning what they asseverate,
8 Ma anyị maara na iwu dị mma, ma ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla ewere ya mee ihe a chọrọ ka e jiri ya mee.
and we have known that the law [is] good, if any one may use it lawfully;
9 Ma emeghị iwu nʼihi ndị ezi omume. Kama, e mere iwu nʼihi ndị ahụ na-emebi iwu na ndị na-enupu isi, ndị kpọrọ Chineke asị na ndị mmehie, ndị rụrụ arụ, ndị na-egbu nna ha na nne ha, na ndị na-egbu mmadụ ibe ha,
having known this, that for a righteous man law is not set, but for lawless and insubordinate persons, ungodly and sinners, impious and profane, parricides and matricides, men-slayers,
10 na ndị na-akwa iko na ndị ikom na-emerụ onwe ha nʼahụ ndị ikom ibe ha, ndị na-azụ ahịa ndị ohu, na ndị ụgha niile, na ndị na-agba ama ụgha, tinyere ihe ndị ahụ niile megidere ezi ozizi ahụ,
whoremongers, sodomites, men-stealers, liars, perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that to sound doctrine is adverse,
11 nke dabara nʼoziọma ahụ dị ebube, nke Chineke dị ngọzị, nke o nyefere m nʼaka na ntụkwasị obi ichebe.
according to the good news of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.
12 Ana m ekele Kraịst Jisọs Onyenwe anyị ekele, onye na-enye m ike, nʼihi na ọ gụrụ m dị ka onye e kwesiri ịtụkwasị obi mgbe ọ họpụtara m ijere ya ozi.
And I give thanks to him who enabled me — Christ Jesus our Lord — that he did reckon me stedfast, having put [me] to the ministration,
who before was speaking evil, and persecuting, and insulting, but I found kindness, because, being ignorant, I did [it] in unbelief,
14 Ma Onyenwe anyị wụkwasịrị m amara ya, nke babigara ụba oke, ya na okwukwe na ịhụnanya nʼime Kraịst Jisọs.
and exceedingly abound did the grace of our Lord, with faith and love that [is] in Christ Jesus:
15 Okwu a kwesiri ntụkwasị obi, kwesikwa ka anabata ya nke ọma: Kraịst Jisọs bịara nʼụwa ịzọpụta ndị mmehie, nke mụ onwe m bụ onyeisi ha.
stedfast [is] the word, and of all acceptation worthy, that Christ Jesus came to the world to save sinners — first of whom I am;
16 Ọ bụ nʼihi nke a ka e ji gosi m ebere, ka Kraịst Jisọs site nʼime m, bụ onye kachasị dị njọ, gosi enweghị ọgwụgwụ nke ntachiobi ya, ka m bụrụ ihe nlere anya nye ndị ahụ niile ga-ekwere na ya, ma nata ndụ ebighị ebi. (aiōnios )
but because of this I found kindness, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all long-suffering, for a pattern of those about to believe on him to life age-during: (aiōnios )
17 Ugbu a, ka enye Eze ahụ na-adị ruo mgbe niile, Onye na-adịghị anwụ anwụ, Onye a na-adịghị ahụ anya, Onye naanị ya bụ Chineke, nsọpụrụ na otuto ruo mgbe niile ebighị ebi. Amen. (aiōn )
and to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, [is] honour and glory — to the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn )
18 Ugbu a, Timoti nwa m, ana m enye gị ndụmọdụ a dị ka amụma ahụ e buru banyere gị nʼoge gara aga si dị. Ka ị site nʼịgbaso ya nwe ike ịlụ ezi ọgụ ahụ.
This charge I commit to thee, child Timotheus, according to the prophesies that went before upon thee, that thou mayest war in them the good warfare,
19 Jidesie okwukwe i nwere ike, ya na ezi akọnuche. Nʼihi na ụfọdụ ajụla ezi akọnuche ma si otu a dapụ nʼokwukwe.
having faith and a good conscience, which certain having thrust away, concerning the faith did make shipwreck,

of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I did deliver to the Adversary, that they might be instructed not to speak evil.
