1 Ndị Tesalonaịka 3

Therefore no longer containing, we delighted to be left alone at Athens;

and we sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God in the gospel of Christ, in order to establish you, and exhort you concerning your faith;

that no one should be shaken in these tribulations. For you know that for this we are appointed.
4 Nʼihi na mgbe anyị na unu nọ, anyị buru ụzọ gbaara unu ama na ihe ndị a aghaghị ịbịakwasị unu. Ugbu a, ihe niile emezuola dị ka unu matakwara.
For indeed, when we were with you, we foretold you that we are about to suffer tribulation; as indeed took place, and you know it.
5 Nʼihi nke a, mgbe m hụrụ na m apụghị ịnagide ihe ndị ahụ, eziri m ozi, ka a chọpụta maka okwukwe unu. Nʼihi na ụjọ m bụ ma eleghị anya o nweela ụzọ onye ọnwụnwa ọjọọ ahụ si nwaa unu ọnwụnwa nʼoge a, mee ka ndọgbu niile anyị dọgburu onwe anyị nʼọrụ nʼetiti unu bụrụ ihe lara nʼiyi.
Therefore I indeed, no longer containing, sent that I might know your faith, lest perhaps the tempter tempted you, and our labor may be in vain.

But Timothy, having already come to us from you, and proclaimed to us the good news of your faith and your divine love, and that you always have a good mention of us, longing to see us, as we do to see you;

therefore we were comforted, brethren, over you in all our distress and tribulation on account of your faith;
8 Ugbu a anyị ga-adị ndụ, ma ọ bụrụ na unu eguzosie ike nʼime Onyenwe anyị.
because we now live, if you stand in the Lord.
9 Olee ụdị ekele anyị pụrụ ikele Chineke nʼihi akụkọ nyere anyị ọṅụ nʼihu Chineke anyị nʼihi unu.
For what thanks are we able to render unto God in your behalf, for all the joy with which we rejoice on account of you before our God;
10 Ehihie na abalị niile, anyị na-arịọ ka anyị hụ unu ihu na ihu, ka anyị nwee ike tinyezuo ihe fọdụrụ nʼokwukwe unu.
night and day praying incessantly that we may see your face, and perfect the deficiencies of your faith?
11 Ugbu a, ka Chineke Nna anyị na Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst megheere anyị ụzọ ịbịakwute unu.
But God himself, even our Father, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way unto you:
12 Ka Onyenwe anyị meekwa ka unu baa ụba, ka unu babiga ụba oke nʼịhụnanya unu nwere nye ibe unu, na ndị ọzọkwa, dị ka ịhụnanya anyị si dị ukwuu nʼebe unu nọ.
and the Lord fill you and cause you to superabound in divine love toward one another, and toward all, even as we also do towards you;
13 Ka ọ mee ka obi unu guzosie ike nʼịdị nsọ, na-enweghị ịta ụta ọbụla, nʼihu Chineke na Nna anyị, nʼọbịbịa nke Onyenwe anyị Jisọs ya na ndị nsọ ya niile.
in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness in the presence of God even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints: amen.
