< 1 Ndị Eze 22 >

1 Agha ọzọ adaghị nʼetiti Aram na Izrel afọ atọ.
And he rested three years, and there was no war between Syria and Israel.
2 Ma nʼafọ nke atọ, Jehoshafat, eze Juda, gara ileta Ehab eze Izrel.
And it came to pass in the third year, that Josaphat king of Juda went down to the king of Israel.
3 Eze Izrel sịrị ndị ozi ya, “Unu amaghị na ala Ramọt Gilead bụ nke anyị, ma lee na anyị gbara nkịtị ịga napụta ya site nʼaka eze Aram?”
And the king of Israel said to his servants, Know you that Remmath Galaad [is] ours, and we are slow to take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?
And the king of Israel said to Josaphat, Will you go up with us to Remmath Galaad to battle?
5 Ma Jehoshafat gwakwara eze Izrel, sị, “Buru ụzọ chọpụta ihe bụ ntụziaka Onyenwe anyị.”
And Josaphat said, As I [am], so [are] you also; as my people, [so is] your people; as my horses, [so are] your horses. And Josaphat king of Juda said to the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray you, of the Lord today.
6 Ya mere, eze Izrel kpọkọtara ndị amụma, ọnụọgụgụ ha ruru narị ndị ikom anọ, jụọ ha sị, “Ọ bụ m gaa buso Ramọt Gilead agha, ka ọ bụ m hapụ ịga?” Ha zara, “Gaa, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị ga-enyefe ha nʼaka eze.”
And the king of Israel gathered all the prophets together, about four hundred men; and the king said to them, Shall I go up to Remmath Galaad to battle, or shall I forbear? and they said, Go up, and the Lord will surely give [it] into the hands of the king.
7 Ma Jehoshafat jụrụ, “Ọ bụ na e nwekwaghị onye amụma Onyenwe anyị nọ nʼebe a, onye anyị nwere ike ịjụta ase nʼaka ya?”
And Josaphat said to the king of Israel, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord, that we may enquire of the Lord by him?
8 Eze Izrel zaghachiri Jehoshafat, sị, “A ka nwere otu onye amụma, onye anyị nwere ike isite nʼaka ya jụọ Onyenwe anyị ase, ọ bụ Maikaya nwa Imla, ma akpọrọ m ya asị, nʼihi na o nweghị oge ọ na-ebu amụma ihe ọma nʼebe m nọ, kama ọ bụ naanị nke ọjọọ.” Jehoshafat sịrị, “Eze ekwesighị ikwu okwu dị otu a.”
And the king of Israel said to Josaphat, There is one man here [for us] to enquire of the Lord by; but I hate him, for he does not speak good of me, but only evil; Michaias son of Jemblaa. And Josaphat king of Juda said, Let not the king say so.
9 Mgbe ahụ, eze Izrel kpọrọ otu onye na-ejere ya ozi sị ya, “Mee ọsịịsọ kpọta Maikaya nwa Imla nʼebe a.”
And the king of Israel called a eunuch and said, [Bring hither] quickly Michaias son of Jemblaa.
10 Ehab eze Izrel na Jehoshafat eze Juda, onye ọbụla yi uwe eze ya, na-anọkwasị nʼocheeze ya nʼebe ịzọcha ọka nʼọnụ ụzọ ama e si abata obodo Sameria. Ndị amụma ahụ niile nọkwa na-ebu amụma nʼihu ha.
And the king of Israel and Josaphat king of Juda sat, each on his throne, armed in the gates of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
11 Zedekaya nwa Kenaana, mere mpi igwe, ọ kwupụtara sị, “Nke a bụ ihe Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu, ‘Ihe ndị a ka ị ga-eji sọgide ndị Aram, ruo mgbe a ga-ala ha nʼiyi.’”
And Sedekias son of Chanaan made for himself iron horns, and said, Thus says the Lord, With these you shall push Syria, until it be consumed.
12 Ndị amụma ndị ọzọ niile na-ebu otu ihe ahụ nʼamụma, na-asị, “Gaa, busoo Ramọt Gilead agha, ị ga-enwekwa mmeri, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị ga-enyefe ya nʼaka eze.”
And all the prophets prophesied in like manner, saying, Go up to Remmath Galaad, and [the thing] shall prosper, and the Lord shall deliver it and the king of Syria into your hands.
13 Onyeozi ahụ nke gara ịkpọ Maikaya sịrị ya, “Lee, ndị amụma ndị ọzọ na-agụpụghị onye ọbụla na-ebu amụma ọganihu nye eze. Mee ka okwu gị na ha dakọta. Kwuokwa ihe ga-adị eze mma.”
And the messenger that went to call Michaias spoke to him, saying, Behold now, all the prophets speak with one mouth good concerning the king, let now your words be like the words of one of them, and speak good things.
14 Ma Maikaya sịrị, “Dịka Onyenwe anyị na-adị ndụ, aga m agwa ya naanị ihe Onyenwe anyị gwara m.”
And Michaias said, [As] the Lord lives, whatever the Lord shall say to me, that will I speak.
15 Mgbe ọ bịarutere, eze jụrụ ya, “Maikaya, ọ bụ anyị gaa buso Ramọt Gilead agha, ka ọ bụ anyị hapụ?” Ọ zara, “Gaa, ma nwekwa mmeri, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị ga-enyefe ya nʼaka eze.”
And he came to the king: and the king said to him, Michaias, shall I go up to Remmath Galaad to battle, or shall I forbear? and he said, Go up, and the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
16 Eze sịrị ya, “Ugboro ole ka m ga-eme ka ị ṅụọ iyi na ị gaghị agwa m ihe ọzọ, karịa naanị eziokwu nʼaha Onyenwe anyị?”
And the king said to him, How often shall I adjure you, that you speak to me truth in the name of the Lord?
17 Mgbe ahụ Mikaya zara, “Ahụrụ m Izrel niile ka ha gbasasịrị nʼelu ọtụtụ ugwu dịka atụrụ na-enweghị onye ọzụzụ atụrụ, ma Onyenwe anyị sịrị, ‘Ndị a enweghị onyendu. Ka onye ọbụla laghachi nʼụlọ ya nʼudo.’”
And he said, Not so. I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains as a flock without a shepherd: and the Lord said, [Is] not God lord of these? let each one return to his home in peace.
18 Eze Izrel, sịrị Jehoshafat, “Ọ bụ na m agwaghị gị na ọ dịghị mgbe ọ na-ebu amụma ihe ọma banyere m, kama naanị ihe ọjọọ?”
And the king of Israel said to Josaphat king of Juda, Did I not say to you that this man does not prophesy good to me, for [he speaks] nothing but evil?
And Michaias said, Not so, [it is] not I: hear the word of the Lord; [it is] not so. I saw the God of Israel sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven stood about him on his right hand and on his left.
20 Onyenwe anyị sịrị, ‘Onye ga-aga rafuo Ehab ka ọ gaa buso Ramọt Gilead agha, gaa nwụọ nʼebe ahụ?’ “Otu onye tụpụtara aro nke a, ebe onye ọzọ tụpụtara nke ọzọ.
And the Lord said, Who will deceive Achaab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall in Remmath Galaad? and one spoke one way, and another another way.
21 Nʼikpeazụ otu mmụọ pụtara, guzo nʼihu Onyenwe anyị sị, ‘Mụ onwe m ga-arafu ya.’
And there came forth a spirit and stood before the Lord, and said, I will deceive him.
22 “‘Onyenwe anyị jụrụ sị, Olee otu ị ga-esi mee nke a?’ “‘Aga m apụ gaa bụrụ mmụọ nrafu nʼọnụ ndị amụma ya niile,’ ka ọ zara. “Onyenwe anyị sịrị, ‘Ị ga-enwe ike ịrafu ya. Gaa mee otu a.’
And the Lord said to him, Whereby? And he said, I will go forth, and will be a false spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, You shall deceive him, yes, and shall prevail: go forth, and do so.
23 “Ma ugbu a, Onyenwe anyị etinyela mmụọ okwu ụgha nʼọnụ ndị amụma gị niile ndị a. Onyenwe anyị ekwubiela nʼihe ọjọọ ga-adakwasị gị.”
And now, behold, the Lord has put a false spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets, and the Lord has spoken evil against you.
24 Mgbe ahụ, Zedekaya nwa Kenaana, gara nso, maa Maikaya aka na nti, jụọ ya, “Olee ụzọ ka mmụọ ahụ sitere na Onyenwe anyị gara, mgbe ọ hapụrụ m bịa ịgwa gị okwu?”
And Sedekias the son of Chanaan came near and struck Michaias on the cheek, and said, What sort of a spirit of the Lord [has] spoken in you?
25 Maikaya zaghachiri, “Ị ga-achọpụta nke a nʼụbọchị ị ga-agbaba nʼime ime ụlọ izo onwe gị.”
And Michaias said, Behold, you shall see in that day, when you shall go into an innermost chamber to hide yourself there.
26 Mgbe ahụ, eze Izrel nyere iwu sị, “Jidenụ Maikaya kpụgara ya Amọn onye na-achị obodo a, na Joash nwa eze
And the king of Israel said, Take Michaias, and convey him away to Semer the keeper of the city;
27 ị ga-asịkwa, ‘Otu a ka eze sịrị: Tinye nwoke a nʼụlọ mkpọrọ, nye ya naanị achịcha na mmiri ọṅụṅụ tutu ruo mgbe m lọghachiri nʼudo.’”
and tell Joas the king's son to put this [fellow] in prison, and to feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction until I return in peace.
28 Maikaya kwupụtara sị, “Ọ bụrụ na ị lọghachi nʼudo, ọ pụtara na ọ bụghị Onyenwe anyị si nʼọnụ m kwuo okwu.” O kwukwara sị, “Unu niile hụbakwanụ okwu m ndị a niile ama!”
And Michaias said, If you return at all in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me.
So the king of Israel went up, and Josaphat king of Juda with him to Remmath Galaad.
30 Eze Izrel gwara Jehoshafat, sị, “Aga m ejikere onwe m dịka m bụ onye ọzọ banye nʼọgbọ agha, ma gị onwe gị yiri uwe eze gị.” Ya mere, eze Izrel nwogharịrị onwe ya ka onye ọzọ baa nʼọgbọ agha.
And the king of Israel said to Josaphat king of Juda, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle, and do you put on my raiment. So the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.
31 Ma eze Aram enyelarị ndị ọchịagha ndị na-agba ụgbọ agha, ọnụọgụgụ ha dị iri atọ na abụọ, iwu sị, “Unu ebusola onye ọbụla agha, maọbụ onye ukwu maọbụ onye nta, karịakwa naanị eze Izrel.”
And the king of Syria had charged the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, Fight not [against] small or great, but against the king of Israel only.
And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Josaphat king of Juda, that they said, this seems [to be] the king of Israel. And they compassed him about to fight [against] him; and Josaphat cried out.
33 ndị ọchịagha, na-achị ndị na-agba ụgbọ agha hụrụ na ọ bụghị eze Izrel, ma kwụsị ịchụso ya.
And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw that this was not the king of Israel, that they returned from him.
34 Ma otu onye dọrọ ụta ya gbapụ ya na-ebughị onye ọbụla nʼobi, gbata ya eze Izrel nʼetiti njikọ nke uwe agha ya. Eze gwara onye ọkwọ ụgbọ agha ya, sị, “Tụgharịa, si nʼebe a bupụ m, nʼihi na emerụọla m ahụ.”
And one drew a bow with a good aim, and struck the king of Israel between the lungs and the breast-plate: and he said to his charioteer, Turn your hands, and carry me away out of the battle, for I am wounded.
35 Agha ahụ siri ike nʼụbọchị ahụ niile, e ji ihe mee ka eze kwụrụ ọtọ nʼime ụgbọ agha ya na-eche ndị Aram ihu. Ọbara si nʼọnya ahụ sọjuru nʼala ụgbọ agha ahụ, ọ nwụrụ nʼuhuruchi ụbọchị ahụ.
And the war was turned in that day, and the king was standing on the chariot, against Syria from morning till evening; and he shed the blood out of his wound, into the bottom of the chariot, and died at even, and the blood ran out of the wound into the bottom of the chariot.
36 Mgbe anyanwụ na-ada, e tiri mkpu nke gazuru nʼọgbọ agha ndị Izrel, sị, “Nwoke ọbụla laa nʼobodo ya, onye ọbụla laakwa nʼala nke aka ya!”
And the herald of the army stood at sunset, saying, Let every man go to his own city and his own land,
37 Ya mere, eze nwụrụ, e buta ozu ya nʼobodo Sameria, ebe a nọ lie ya.
for the king is dead. And they came to Samaria, and buried the king in Samaria.
38 Ha sachara ụgbọ agha ya nʼọdọ mmiri dị na Sameria (ebe ndị akwụna na-asa ahụ). Ụmụ nkịta rachara ọbara ya, dịka okwu Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
And they washed the chariot at the fountain of Samaria; and the swine and the dogs licked up the blood, and the harlots washed themselves in the blood, according to the word of the Lord which he spoke.
And the rest of the acts of Achaab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he built, and all the cities which he built, behold, [are] not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
And Achaab slept with his fathers, and Ochozias his son reigned in his stead.
41 Jehoshafat nwa Asa ghọrọ eze Juda, nʼafọ nke anọ, nke ọchịchị Ehab eze Izrel.
And Josaphat the son of Asa reigned over Juda: in the fourth year of Achaab king of Israel began Josaphat to reign.
42 Jehoshafat gbara iri afọ atọ na ise mgbe ọ malitere ịbụ eze. Ọ chịrị iri afọ abụọ na ise na Jerusalem. Aha nne ya bụ Azuba, nwa Shilhi.
Thirty and five years old [was he] when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name [was] Azuba daughter of Salai.
And he walked in all the way of Asa his father: he turned not from it, even from doing that which was right in the eyes of the Lord. Only he took not away [any] of the high places: the people still sacrificed and burnt incense on the high places.
And Josaphat was at peace with the king of Israel.
45 Ma banyere ihe ndị ọzọ niile mere nʼoge ọchịchị Jehoshafat, ihe niile ndị ọ rụpụtara, ike ọ kpara nʼọtụtụ agha nke o buru, ọ bụ na e deghị ha nʼakwụkwọ akụkọ ihe mere nʼoge ndị eze Juda?
And the rest of the acts of Josaphat, and his mighty deeds, whatever he did, behold, [are] not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Juda?
46 O kpochapụrụ ndị ikom akwụna ụlọ arụsị, bụ ndị nke fọdụrụ, mgbe nna ya bụ Asa chịchara ọchịchị.
47 Nʼoge a, eze adịghị nʼala Edọm, kama ọ bụ onye nnọchite anya eze bụ onye na-achị.

And Josaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried by his fathers in the city of David his father, and Joram his son reigned in his stead.
51 Ahazaya nwa Ehab, malitere ịbụ eze Izrel na Sameria, nʼafọ iri na asaa nke ọchịchị Jehoshafat, eze Juda. Ma ọ chịrị Izrel naanị afọ abụọ.
And Ochozias son of Achaab reigned over Israel in Samaria: in the seventeenth year of Josaphat king of Juda, Ochozias son of Achaab reigned over Israel in Samaria two years.
52 O mere ihe dị njọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị, nʼihi na o sooro ụzọ ọjọọ niile nke nna na nne ya, na ụzọ ọjọọ nke Jeroboam nwa Nebat, onye mere ka Izrel mee mmehie.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of Achaab his father, and in the way of Jezabel his mother, and in the sins of the house of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who caused Israel to sin.
53 Ọ fekwara arụsị Baal ofufe, kpọọkwa isiala nye ya, si otu a kpasuo Onyenwe anyị, Chineke Izrel iwe, dịka nna ya mere.
And he served Baalim, and worshipped them, and provoked the Lord God of Israel, according to all that had been done before him.
