Aftir many daies the word of the Lord was maad to Elie, in the thridde yeer, and seide, Go, and schewe thee to Achab, that Y yyue reyn on the face of erthe.
2 Ya mere, Ịlaịja pụrụ gaa igosi Ehab onwe ya. Ma ụnwụ dị na Sameria nʼoge a siri nnọọ ike.
Therfor Elie yede to schewe hym silf to Achab; forsothe greet hungur was in Samarie.
3 O nwere otu nwoke na-elekọta ihe dị nʼezinaụlọ Ehab. Aha ya bụ Ọbadaya. (Ọ bụ nwoke ji obi ya niile kwere na Onyenwe anyị.
And Achab clepide Abdie, dispendere, ether stiward, of his hows; forsothe Abdie dredde greetli the Lord God of Israel.
4 Mgbe eze nwanyị bụ Jezebel na-egbu ndị amụma Onyenwe anyị chọọ igbuchapụ ha, ọ bụ Ọbadaya zoro narị ndị amụma nʼime ha nʼime ọgba nkume. O zoro iri ndị amụma ise nʼotu ọgba nkume, zookwa iri ndị amụma ise fọdụrụ nʼime ọgba nkume ọzọ. Emesịa, ọ na-ewegara ha nri na mmiri nʼebe ahụ.)
For whanne Jezabel killide the prophetis of the Lord, he took an hundrid prophetis, and hidde hem, bi fifties and fifties, in dennes, and fedde hem with breed and watir.
5 Ehab kpọrọ Ọbadaya sị ya, “Jegharịa nʼala a niile nyochapụta na ndagwurugwu na isi iyi niile, ebe ahịhịa ndụ dị. Gbutere ịnyịnya na ịnyịnya muul m ahịhịa ahụ ka ha taa ghara ịnwụ, ka anyị gharakwa igbu ha.”
Therfor Achab seide to Abdie, Go thou in to the lond, to alle wellis of watris, and in to alle valeis, if in hap we moun fynde gras, and saue horsis and mulis; and werk beestis perische not outirli.
6 Ha kere ala ahụ nʼetiti onwe ha. Ehab sitere otu akụkụ, ma Ọbadaya sitere akụkụ nke ọzọ.
Therfor thei departiden the cuntreis to hem silf, that thei schulden cumpasse tho; Achab yede bi o weye, and Abdie yede bi another weie, `bi hym silf.
7 Ọ dịghị anya, na mberede, Ọbadaya hụrụ Ịlaịja ka ọ na-abịa izute ya. Ọbadaya matara na ọ bụ ya. Nʼihi ya, ọ dara nʼala kpuo ihu ya nʼala sị, “Ọ bụ gị ka m hụrụ nʼezie, onyenwe m, Ịlaịja?”
And whanne Abdie was in the weie, Elie mette hym; and whanne he hadde knowe Elie, he felde on his face, and seide, Whethir thou art my lord Elie?
8 Ịlaịja zara sị ya, “E, ọ bụ m. Ugbu a gaa gwa onyenwe gị, ‘mụ bụ Ịlaịja nọ nʼebe a.’”
To whom he answeride, Y am. And Elie seide, Go thou, and seie to thi lord, Elie is present.
9 Mgbe ahụ, Ọbadaya jụrụ Ịlaịja sị, “Gịnị bụ ihe m mejọrọ, nke mere i ji na-achọ inyefe ohu gị nʼaka Ehab ka o gbuo ya?
And Abdie seide, What `synnede Y, for thou bitakist me in the hond of Achab, that he sle me?
10 Dịka Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị sị adị ndụ, o nwebeghị mba maọbụ alaeze dị nke nna m ukwu na-ezigaghị mmadụ ịchọ gị. Ebe ọbụla ọ gara a na-akọrọ ya na Ịlaịja anọghị nʼebe ahụ. Ehab na-eme ka eze obodo ahụ ṅụọ iyi na ihe ọ na-ekwu bụ eziokwu.
Thi Lord God lyueth, for no folk ethir rewme is, whidur my lord, sekynge thee, sente not; and whanne alle men answeriden, He is not here, he chargide greetli alle rewmes and folkis, for thou were not foundun; and now thou seist to me,
11 Ma ugbu a, ị na-asị m gaa gwa Onyenwe m na, ‘Ịlaịja nọ nʼebe a.’
Go, and seie to thi lord, Elie is present.
12 Ọ bụrụkwanụ na m esite nʼebe a pụọ, onye ma ebe Mmụọ Onyenwe anyị ga-ebuga gị. Mgbe ahụ, ọ bụrụ na Ehab abịa hapụ ịhụ gị, ọ ga-egbu m. Nʼihi na mụ bụ ohu gị bụ onye na-efe Onyenwe anyị ofufe siterị na mgbe m bụ okorobịa.
And whanne Y schal departe fro thee, the Spirit of the Lord schal bere thee awey in to a place which Y knowe not; and Y schal entre, and `Y schal telle to Achab, and he schal not fynde thee, and he schal sle me; forsothe thi seruaunt dredith the Lord fro his yong childhod.
13 Ọ bụ na onyenwe m anụghị ihe m mere mgbe Jezebel nọ na-egbu ndị amụma Onyenwe anyị? E zoro narị ndị amụma Onyenwe anyị nʼime ọgba nkume abụọ, iri ise nʼime otu ọgba nkume, iri ise nʼime otu ọgba nkume ka m zoro ha, jirikwa nri na mmiri ọṅụṅụ zụọ ha.
Whether it is not schewid to thee, my lord, what Y dide, whanne Jesabel killide the prophetis of the Lord, that Y hidde of the prophetis of the Lord an hundrid men, bi fifty and bi fifti, in dennes, and Y fedde hem with breed and watir?
14 Ma ugbu a i na-agwa m sị m, ‘Gaa gwa onyenwe gị na Ịlaịja abịala.’ Ọ ga-egbukwa m!”
And now thou seist, Go, and seie to thi lord, Elie is present, that he sle me.
15 Ma Ịlaịja zara sị ya, “Dịka Onyenwe anyị Chineke Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile na-adị ndụ, onye m na-ejere ozi, ana m agwa gị na agaghị m esi nʼebe a pụọ tutu ruo mgbe m gosiri Ehab onwe m taa.”
And Elie seide, The Lord of oostis lyueth, bifor whos siyt Y stonde, for to dai Y schal appere to hym.
16 Mgbe ahụ, Ọbadaya pụrụ gaa kọọrọ Ehab na Ịlaịja abịala. Emesịa, Ehab pụtara izute Ịlaịja.
Therfor Abdie yede in to the metyng of Achab, and schewide to hym; and Achab cam in to the meetyng of Elie.
17 Mgbe ọ hụrụ Ịlaịja, Ehab sịrị ya, “Ọ bụ gị onwe gị bụ nke a, gị onye na-emekpa Izrel ahụ?”
And whanne he hadde seyn Elie, he seide, Whether thou art he, that disturblist Israel?
18 Ịlaịja zara sị Ehab, “O nweghị mgbe m ji butere Izrel nsogbu. Ọ bụ gị onwe gị na ezinaụlọ nna gị na-ebutere Izrel nsogbu. Unu agbakụtala iwu Onyenwe anyị azụ, gbasoro chi Baal dị iche iche.
And he seide, Not Y disturble Israel, but thou, and the hows of thi fadir, whiche han forsake the comaundementis of the Lord, and sueden Baalym, `disturbliden Israel.

Netheles now sende thou, and gadere to me al Israel, in the hil of Carmele, and foure hundrid and fifti prophetis of Baal, and foure hundrid prophetis of woodis, that eten of the table of Jezabel.

Forsothe Elie neiyede to al the puple of Israel, and seide, Hou long halten ye in to twey partis? If the Lord is God, sue ye hym; forsothe if Baal is God, sue ye hym. And the puple answeride not o word to hym.
22 Mgbe ahụ Ịlaịja sịrị ha, “Leenụ! Ọ bụ mụ onwe m, naanị m, bụ onye amụma Onyenwe anyị fọdụrụ, ma ndị amụma Baal dị narị anọ na iri ise nʼọnụọgụgụ.
And Elie seide eft to the puple, Y dwellide aloone a prophete of the Lord; sotheli the prophetis of Baal ben foure hundrid and fifti, and the prophetis of woodis ben foure hundrid men.
23 Ugbu a wetanụ oke ehi abụọ ka ndị amụma Baal họrọ otu oke ehi, nke ha chọrọ. Ha ga-egbujasị ya, tụkwasị ya nʼelu nkụ dị nʼebe ịchụ aja, ma ha agaghị amụnye ọkụ ọbụla nʼokpuru ya. Mụ onwe m ga-akwado oke ehi nke ọzọ tụkwasị ya nʼelu nkụ ma agaghị m amụnyekwa ọkụ nʼokpuru ya.
Tweyne oxis be youun to us; and chese thei oon oxe, and thei schulen kitte in to gobetis, and schulen putte on trees, but putte thei not fier vndur; and Y schal make the tother oxe in to sacrifice, and Y schal putte on the trees, and Y schal not putte fier vnder.
24 Emesịa, unu ga-akpọku chi Baal unu, mụ onwe m kwa ga-akpọku aha Onyenwe anyị. Ọ ga-erukwa na chi ga-eji ọkụ za, chi ahụ bụ Chineke.” Ndị Izrel niile zara sị, “Okwu gị dị mma.”
Clepe ye the name of youre goddis, and Y schal clepe the name of my God; and the God that herith bi fier, be he God. And al the puple answeride, and seide, The resoun is best, `which resoun Elie spak.
25 Ịlaịja gwara ndị amụma Baal, sị, “Ebe unu dị ọtụtụ, burunu ụzọ họrọ otu oke ehi nʼime ehi abụọ a dozie ya. Unu amụnyekwala ya ọkụ nʼokpuru, kama kpọkuonụ chi unu.”
Therfor Elie seide to the prophetis of Baal, Chese ye oon oxe to you, and make ye first, for ye ben the mo; and clepe ye the names of youre goddis, and putte ye not fier vnder.
26 Ya mere, ndị amụma Baal weere oke ehi ahụ e nyere ha doziekwa ya. Mgbe ahụ, ha kpọkuru aha Baal, chi ha. And whanne thei hadden take the oxe, whom Elie yaf to hem, thei maden sacrifice, and clepiden the name of Baal, fro the morewtid `til to myddai, and seiden, Baal, here vs! And no vois was, nether ony that answerd; and thei skippiden ouer the auter, which thei hadden maad.
27 Nʼihe dị ka nʼetiti ehihie, Ịlaịja malitere ịchị ha ọchị, na ịkwa ha emo. Ọ gwara ha okwu sị ha, “Tisienụ mkpu ike ka Baal nwe ike ịnụ arịrịọ unu. Nʼezie, ọ bụ chi! Ma eleghị anya ọ nọ nʼoke echiche, maọbụ o ji ọrụ nʼaka, maọbụ ọ gara njem. Ma eleghị anya ọ na-arahụ ụra. Ọ chọrọ onye ga-akpọte ya.”
And whanne it was thanne myddai, Elie scornede hem, and seide, Crie ye with gretter vois, for Baal is youre god, and in hap he spekith with an other, ethir he is in a herborgerie, ether in weie, ether certis he slepith, that he be reisid.

29 Ma mgbe etiti ehihie gasịrị, ha nọgidekwara na-ebu amụma ruo mgbe oge ịchụ aja uhuruchi ruru, ma o nweghị onye zara ha, o nwekwaghị olu a nụrụ. Ọ dịkwaghị onye ṅara ha ntị.
Sotheli after that mydday passide, and while thei prophesieden, the tyme cam, in which the sacrifice is wont to be offrid, nether vois was herd `of her goddis, nether ony answeride, nether perceyuede hem preiynge.
30 Mgbe ahụ, Ịlaịja kpọrọ ndị Izrel sị ha, “Bịaruenụ m nso.” Ha niile bịaruru ya nso, o doziri ebe ịchụ aja Onyenwe anyị, bụ ndị ahụ a kwaturu nʼala na mbụ.
Elie seide to al the puple, Come ye to me. And whanne the puple cam to him, he arrayede the auter of the Lord, that was distried.
31 Ịlaịja chịịrị nkume iri na abụọ, nke otu nʼime ha nọchiri anya otu ebo Jekọb, onye okwu Onyenwe anyị rutere si ya, “Aha gị ga-abụ Izrel.”
And he took twelue stonys, bi the noumbre of lynagis of sones of Jacob, to which Jacob the word of the Lord was maad, and seide, Israel schal be thi name.
32 O ji nkume ndị a wuzie ebe ịchụ aja Onyenwe anyị. Emesịa, o gwuru olulu miri emi, nke gbara ebe ịchụ aja ahụ gburugburu.
And he bildide an auter of stonys, in the name of the Lord, and he made a ledyng to of watir, `ether a dich, as bi twei litle dichis in the cumpas of the auter.
33 Ọ tụkwasịrị nkụ nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja ahụ, tụkwasịkwa otu oke ehi o gbujasịrị nʼelu nkụ ndị ahụ. Emesịa, o nyere ndị nọ nʼebe ahụ iwu sị ha, “Gbajuonụ ite anọ mmiri. Butekwanụ mmiri ahụ bịa wụkwasị ya nʼelu aja nsure ọkụ a, na nʼelu nkụ ndị a.” Mgbe ha mesiri nke a, Ịlaịja gwara ha okwu sị,
And he dresside trees, and he departide the oxe bi membris, and puttide on the trees,
34 “Gbajukwaanụ ite mmiri ndị ahụ, bute ha bịa wụkwasị mmiri ahụ nke ugboro abụọ nʼelu aja nsure ọkụ a.” Ha mere dịka Ịlaịja kwuru. Ịlaịja nyekwara ha iwu sị, “Gbajukwaanụ ya nke ugboro atọ, bịa wụkwasị ya.” Ha mekwara otu a.
and seide, Fille ye foure pottis with watir, and schede ye on the brent sacrifice, and on the trees. And eft he seide, Also the secounde tyme do ye this. `And thei diden the secounde tyme. And he seide, Do ye the same thing the thridde tyme; and thei diden the thridde tyme.
35 Mmiri jupụtakwara nʼebe ịchụ aja ahụ, na olulu ahụ dị ya gburugburu.
And the watris runnen aboute the auter, and the dich of ledyng to `of watir was fillid.
36 Mgbe oge e ji achụ aja anyasị ruru, Ịlaịja, onye amụma bịara ebe ịchụ aja ahụ nso kpee ekpere sị, “O, Onyenwe anyị Chineke Ebraham, na Aịzik, na Izrel, biko gosi taa na ọ bụ gị onwe gị bụ naanị Chineke nʼIzrel, na mụ onwe m bụkwa ohu gị. Gosikwa na m bụ onyeozi gị, na ọ bụ ihe i nyere m nʼiwu ka m mere oge ndị a niile.
And whanne the tyme was thanne, that the brent sacrifice schulde be offrid, Elye the prophete neiyede, and seide, Lord God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, schewe thou to dai that thou art God of Israel, and that Y am thi seruaunt, and haue do alle these wordis bi thi comaundement.
37 Biko, Onyenwe anyị m, zaa m ekpere m, zaa m ya, ka ndị Izrel niile mata na gị onwe gị, Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke, na gị onwe gị na-atụgharịkwa obi ha ịlaghachikwute gị.”
Lord, here thou me; Lord, here thou me; that this puple lerne, that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast conuertid eft the herte of hem.
38 Mgbe ahụ, na mberede, ọkụ Onyenwe anyị sitere nʼeluigwe daa, rechapụ oke ehi ahụ, na nkụ ahụ, na nkume, na ntụ, ma rechapụkwa mmiri niile dị nʼime olulu ahụ dị gburugburu ebe ịchụ aja ahụ.
Sotheli fier of the Lord felde doun, and deuouride brent sacrifice, and trees, and stonus, and lickide vp also the poudre, and the water that was in the `leding of water.
39 Mgbe ndị mmadụ ahụ niile hụrụ ihe a mere, ha niile dara nʼala kpuo ihu nʼala, na-eti mkpu na-asị, “Onyenwe anyị, ya onwe ya bụ Chineke! Onyenwe anyị ya onwe ya bụ Chineke!”
And whanne al the puple hadde seyn this, it felde in to his face, and seide, The Lord he is God; the Lord he is God.
40 Mgbe ahụ, Ịlaịja nyere ha iwu sị, “Jidenụ ndị amụma Baal niile. Unu ekwekwala ka otu onye nʼime ha laa.” Ha jidekwara ha niile. Ịlaịja dukwaara ha niile gaa na ndagwurugwu iyi Kishọn, gbuo ha nʼebe ahụ.
And Elie seide to hem, Take ye the prophetis of Baal; not oon sotheli ascape of hem. And whanne thei hadden take hem, Elie ledde hem to the stronde of Cison, and killide hem there.
41 Emesịa, Ịlaịja gwara Ehab okwu sị, “Gaa rie nri, ṅụọkwa ihe ọṅụṅụ; nʼihi na anụrụ m ụzụ oke mmiri ozuzo ka ọ na-ada.”
And Elie seide to Achab, Stie thou, ete, and drynke, for the sown of myche reyn is.
42 Nʼihi nke a, Ehab sitere nʼebe ahụ pụọ gaa iri nri na ịṅụ ihe ọṅụṅụ ma Ịlaịja rigooro nʼelu ugwu Kamel gbuo ikpere nʼala, kpuokwa ihu ya nʼala nʼetiti ikpere ya abụọ ikpe ekpere.
Achab stiede to ete and drynke; forsothe Elie stiede in to the hil of Carmele, and he settide lowli his face to the erthe, bitwixe hise knees;
43 Nʼoge a, ọ gwara nwokorobịa na-ejere ya ozi sị ya, “Gaa lee anya nʼụzọ oke osimiri.” Ọ rịgoro lee anya, sị, “Ọ dịghị ihe ọbụla m hụrụ.” Ịlaịja gwakwara ya otu a, ugboro asaa, sị ya, “Jeghachi.”
and seide to his child, Stie thou, and biholde ayens the see. And whanne he hadde stied, and hadde biholde, he seide, No thing is. And eft Elie seide to hym, Turne thou ayen bi seuene tymes.
44 O ruo na nke ugboro asaa, nwokorobịa ahụ bịaghachiri sị Ịlaịja, “Onyenwe m, ahụrụ m igwe ojii dị nta dịka ọbụ aka mmadụ ka o si nʼoke osimiri na-apụta.” Ya mere, Ịlaịja sịrị, “Gaa gwa Ehab, ‘dozie ụgbọ agha gị, gbadaa tupu mmiri ozuzo egbochi gị ịla.’”
Sotheli in the seuenthe tyme, lo! a litil cloude as the step of a man stiede fro the see. And Elie seide, Stie thou, and seie to Achab, Ioyne thi chare, and go doun, lest the reyn byfor ocupie thee.
45 Ọ dịghị anya, eluigwe gbajikọtara nnọọ oji. Oke ifufe bidokwara ife. Mmiri dị ukwuu bidokwara izo. Mgbe ahụ, Ehab gbaara ụgbọ agha ya laa Jezril.
And whanne thei turneden hem hidur and thidur, lo! heuenes weren maad derk, and cloud, and wynd, and greet reyn was maad. Therfor Achab stiede, and yede in to Jezrael;
46 Ma ike Onyenwe anyị bịakwasịrị Ịlaịja. Ọ fanyere ọnụ uwe mwụda ya na belịt o kere nʼukwu, gbapụ ọsọ buru Ehab ụzọ gbaruo obodo Jezril.
and the hond of the Lord was maad on Elie, and whanne the leendis weren gird, he ran bifor Achab, til he cam in to Jezrael.
